About a week ago, I went to Anna's and I was holding this little gray and white little kitten that was a year old. I don't remember the name of her. She scratched me once so I held her backwards boy they did not like that at all this boy came up to me and started screaming at me. I did nothing wrong and so they denied me the cat. What kind of people does that? They're afraid the cats gonna not have a good home or what I lost my baby girl to leukemia so I was looking for another one. I just don't believe these people at all and then they're very rude. I would not recommend them for nothing. read more

The only place that may love cats more than me. They're so informative, thorough, kind, and easy to work with. I was fortunate enough to sponsor, and then adopt the cutest kitten. Thanks again read more

They treated me and my friend like we were teenagers when we are in our mid 20s. Regardless of age they should not discriminate. They clearly did not want us there and it was a very uncomfortable experience. Told us every cat had multiple applications or was takin. But still clearly listed on their website to apply for. read more

Really neat place to volunteer and adopt from. Staff are welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. These cats are given a second, third, and sometimes a fourth chance at starting a new life. There is care taken to ensure that cats are given space to acclimate and are socialized by staff and volunteers. Just adopted my first cat from there Thanks animeals! read more

I'll preface this with I'm sure their hearts are in the right place and this happened quite a few years ago. Are cat elitists a thing? I adopted a cat from them for my girlfriend and the whole time I felt unwelcome. They found out at one point my parents adopted a cat that had been declawed by a previous owner and whoa... that was a biiiiig crime. I clearly stated I had no intention of declawing any cats. Ever. It felt like they thought I wanted to adopt the cat for hamburger meat after that. I had to just about beg to adopt this cat because of a declawed cat MY PARENTS adopted out of the goodness of their hearts. I understand a little vetting to make sure these cats get to good homes but I think my experience was not necessary. Any of these cats would be lucky to end up with my parents or myself as we are animal lovers and spoil our pets rotten. So to summarize... my parents (not the primary adopters) adopted a declawed cat equals my wife and I (the primary adopters) are very shady characters. I think somewhere in the paperwork they wanted to reserve the right to check in on the pet at some point after adoption. It's too bad they didn't, I would have told them what I thought about my experience and made them feel as welcome at my home, not in, as I felt in AniMeals. I will not be going back, donating, volunteering, or referring people to this facility as I felt quite alienated. Nice work. If I were to do it again I would not have gone through with the adoption and stood up for my parents as they seemed to believe they were evil people... but I was younger then. The cat is not hamburger meat, has all its claws, and is living happily with my now wife and myself. read more

They have a pretty cool set up for the cats with tons of places to hide and climb, plus plenty of toys and activities for them. They are really careful about cleanliness as well to prevent illnesses among their current tenants. They have a lot of pet supplies here, so consider getting your supplies here to support the cause. Also, if you are looking for a place to volunteer or want a cat for a new friend, I would visit here as well. read more

Anything I say here is a disservice to how great of a place this actually is. It's cat wonderland. Take it from a guy who never had pets growing up and now has an unhealthy obsession with cats. The staff at Animeals love their cats, and they want to make sure each cat finds the best home possible. A slightly delayed owner-vetting process might turn some people off, but I think every cat deserves to be as loved in their new home as they are at this no-kill shelter. They have cats young and old, but you'll get a discount if you pick an older one. They try to provide as much background information about each cat as they can, helping you make a well-informed decision. Want a rambunctious, energetic furball? They have that. Need a lethargic lump to sit on your lap? There's a cat for you. Want a cat that barks more than a dog? Too bad, I already chose that one. Regardless, you are going to find a cat that's right for you. read more

A kitten named Stormi adopted me here about 2 years ago. She is a wonderful cat. I have had cats my whole life. She fetches like a lab, and is a great lap cat. Animeals is awesome through and through. I thank them for their hard work and dedication to all cats. read more

I have never visited this wonderful place, but work with several rescue organizations in different capacities.................I have also read the few reviews: to the people who couldn't name a vet, even by just picking a name out of the yellow pages, you don't deserve a cat. You probably could punch your way out of a wet paper bag. Your problem solving skills are nill and the cat would be smarter than you! A delayed process is not harmful...........there are people out there that 'rescue' cats and feed them to their snakes or torture them. Humanity is not always humane. I even have a cat on my place adopted from a shelter and then dumped in the country.........scared, alone and hungry. The people that work in rescues such as this are total angels.........so get over yourself and work through the process. read more
