During the inspection, I told him about how my property was damaged by another tree company. He told me that he was actually filing a lawsuit against that other tree company for unfair trade practices. I decided not to use Arbortech because they were pushy and trying to convince me to sign a contract with them ASAP. I found a company that was not as pushy, had better reviews, and did quality work instead. Almost a year later, Justin asked me to testify in court on HIS behalf, against that other tree company. I said no; I don't want to be involved in a court case. And he said he will subpoena me. He did in fact subpoena me to appear in court on HIS behalf against a tree company competitor. God forbid a client wants to obtain a quote from someone for honest work without having to go to court with the company that quoted them MONTHS ago. This is honestly NUTS. I can't believe Justin would do this in retaliation for me rejecting his services and going with a competitor of his.

When the work crew came out a week later, they got right to it. They did everything they said they would, and their clean-up was amazing. Even though I have woods in the back, they didn't throw a single twig back there. They hauled everything out to the chipper in the front. My lawn & driveway were pristine when they left. When we were ready to move forward, the company was backlogged longer than we could stand, so we called another firm, B & M Tree Service. The manager came out before 9 am the next day, and explained that the limbs were no threat or in any danger. He joked that he would take our money if we insisted, but the job was totally unnecessary. This level of integrity is worthy of public note. Neighbors have worked with B & M and note their good work. Hopefully, we won't need them, but we know who to call.

I was VERY happy with the work done by the 2 men who removed the tree, trimmed the 2 others, and CLEANED UP the yard thoroughly after their work was done -- you would never even know that extensive work was done that day. I am, however, EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with the tree stump removal (IN THE FRONT YARD!!!). The stump grinding created a great big HOLE in the ground and a HUGE pile of dirt and ground tree stump right next to the hole. He told men that they "never fill in the holes", that's up to the homeowner to do! I am a woman, 77 years old, disabled, and walk, in great pain, with a cane -- and I was left with a great big hole and a huge plle of dirt TO FILL IN MYSELF !! Now I have to find someone to PAY to fill in that hole. I requested the cutting of two small trees that were growing thru my stockade fence. The people who are estimating the job are not the people doing the cutting. I requested the trees to be cut from my neighbor's yard close to the ground. I was told that they may be able to cut one of them near the ground. the technician who cut the tree came at 4:30 and was in a hurry to call it a day and return back to the office. He assured me that was the best he could do. It has been about 3 weeks since they cut the tree flush to my fence. There are leaves and shoots already growing thru the fence. I told them that I was unhappy and since I am going to have a new fence in about a month, could they come back when the panel is being replaced and cut it like I had requested. I was told that they could not honor fixing the job they rushed, and I would have to pay again for the completion of the first job. I will definitely get estimates and not use Arbor Tech for any future services. It was like dealing with the cable company. I waited all afternoon and at 3:00 pm I called and asked are they still coming today. They show up at 4:30 pm took 10 minutes and they were proud at how quick they were in and out. Get a second estimate and make sure the quote is on the proposal and the cutting technician is matching the quote to the letter. Hope that you are not the job at the end of their shift. I felt like they were just getting the job done and did not really care to make it right. I paid $350.00 for a 10-minute cut, flush to my old fence. When I replace the section with new fence, they can't be bothered to cut it back to what was written on the job. They told me that the tree is an invasive species.
