Great service! Found my son some ski and snowboard boots. They were last season's models so they saved me some money!

While they also have a ton of stuff for skateboarders as well, there cream of the crop is definitely disc golf. I've been to Pluto's a couple of times in the past when visiting the Knoxville area. What's cool about Pluto's is that they have free maps of all the disc golf parks in the Knoxville and Farragut areas if you ask. The staff is also very nice and approachable. For this place, think comic book store but for disc golf, it's got exactly that feel. They have a huge selection of discs at various weights, as well as collectible discs that are no longer being printed and "light weight" discs for your girl or your guy who has no throw. I went in here recently to pick up a new champion plastic and was by no means disappointed. This place gets five stars because: 1: the place has a relaxed and chill comic book store feel but is for a different kind of nerd. 2: the staff are not only approachable and friendly, but they are also knowledgeable about the areas the store sells. 3: the selection for disc golfers here is on fleek!! 4: they have types of discs here that are rare. They have lightweight discs here, which is also rare. 5: the price for discs is not too bad.

My kids and I were killing time in the shopping center waiting for Tokens to open. we come across…read morea disc golf set that is set up to use, so I figure why not. my kids start throwing the disc more like frisbees grant it and in the process of trying to tell them the purpose of the game is to get the disc in the basket, a old man ( employee) came outside to inform us that we didn't have to throw the disc so hard and not to let it hit the wig store next door. i immediately apologize and state that we were just talking about this, my son throws another disc and hits against the wig store . I am walking to the disc, proceeding to tell my son to "stop" in my mommy dearest voice, and here comes the same old bald headed man to inform us to not hit the store, i immediately tell him "I got this and get back in his store ". If you're not going to help me in the situation, stay out of my way. So here are my complaints /opinions, 1. Don't ever come after my kids while I am trying to actively correct a situation. 2. Don't have a disc golf set up with disc set out for ALL to use. 3. Put up a sign and say only experienced players only (I am sure when you first held a disc you tossed it like a frisbee too). 4. learn How to run a business, this would have been a great learning opportunity to show new comers how to hold and throw the disc. God knows that shopping center isn't busy and there was no one in your store. 5. Have some f'ing compassion for an exhausted mom- I am sure you gave your mom a run for her money when you were younger. 6. Quit being a butthole and learn how to run your business better, learn compassion, teach others about something you like to do....or maybe you don't like the owner since you're ruining the company name, or if you are the owner it's time to throw in the towel because you don't like customers.

The boots were available at bass pro shop and at academy but after discussing with my husband we decided to go to academy. I went ahead and placed an order online just to make sure they #1 had the size boots I needed but also that we pick them up without any issues. the boots said available for pickup within a hour, so I placed my order at 1:22pm, picked up my mother and best friend and we started making our way to knoxville ( we live an hour outside of Knoxville) we stopped at Texas roadhouse and had a late lunch just to give plenty of time for the order to be filled. Once we got to academy I still hadn't received any emails saying my order was ready so we went inside to look around while waiting. my husband said well let me see the Email with the order and I'll just ask them about it, they told him the order still wasn't ready so we continued to shop for an hour. Myself and my husband, my mother and my best friend all had found items we wanted to purchase so we went to checkout and after checking out I asked the cashier about my order once again (4:30pm) which is long after it said it would be ready. The cashier proceeds to tell me that it still wasn't ready and I kindly asked if there was any way someone could grab my order because we had been waiting awhile now and lived an hour away and she said they were busy and there was nothing they could do right now that I would just have to wait until the order could be picked, I asked if I could just go grab the boots myself and bring it up there to them and she said yes you can do that but you will have to cancel that order and we redo it up here, so then I ask if by canceling my order I would be refunded immediately to repurchase (because it was my little brothers money) and she said no it's 3-5 business days and I explained that I could not do that. The cashier gets on her radio and is speaking to someone about me right infront of me showing her frustration to me without saying it directly to me so at this point I become frustrated and ask if I can speak to a manager and the cashier proceeded to say that it was the manager she was on the radio with and I said ok but can she come up here and actually speak to me and the cashier gets back on the radio and asks the manager to come up front. The manager comes to the front and doesn't even ad me or listen to what I was trying to tell her she talks to the cashier and then looks at me and said I'll go get the boots, so I apologize to the cashier about becoming frustrated at the situation and then move off to the side so the cashier could continue her job without me in the way. Then the cashier comes over to me and says that they do not have size 10 muck boots in stock they only have 12 and 13 and I said well it said you did online because I purchased them, she said she didn't know and I asked if the manager was going to come back and talk to me and she said yes so I continued to stand there and then got back in my phone and did the same process to buy the same boots and it showed size 10 muck boots that could be picked up in a hour among many other sizes that the manager said they didn't have in stock. The manager comes back up to me and says that they do not have the boots in stock and I said why is it still showing online I can place a new order right now for pickup today and she said it's a issue on out end that they had not updated the count or something of the sort and I said that this was beyond frustrating that I specifically drove an hour to come to this store and give them my business to buy these boots that I need for a Christmas present, spent over a hour in this store shopping and giving them more business while being told to wait on my order that was never going to be filled. The manager is standing there listening the whole time with a annoyed look on her face like she could care less about this situation and the inconvenience that I was caused and she says I am sorry but it is the situation, so I asked how long it would take to get the boots I ordered if I waited for them to come in and she tells me that they won't come in, they will cancel the order and then just stares at me. I told her this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life and I would not give academy my business ever again and she just stared and me and then walked away. I have NEVER seen or experienced such horrible customer experience in my life! I completely understand mistakes happen but it's the fact that the cashier nor the manager seemed to have any sympathy or understanding of what had occurred, their attitudes were "well that's not my problem" by far the worst experience I've had.
