We came by around 4 to drop off one box and one bag of stuff to sell. It was definitely busy, but when I walked in, one of the workers looked at me, rolled her eyes and started talking about how she was sick of people bringing stuff in right to another worker. I turned around and walked right out. Super rude and uncalled for considering that is literally the job you are paid to do, or at least complain off to the side where the customer can't see/hear you. OUAC gets a bad rep when it comes to selling them your own items. Sure, you're not going to fund a vacation home by hawking your kid's used duds. Let's be honest, though...it is far more convenient to make a few bucks in one place in an hour than spend two days hosting a garage sale and haggling over 50 cents for a used onesie or navigating no-shows for your countless online listings. They give you the option of a check for their $$ offer or you can get store credit. Sort through the items that have been sitting lonely in my attic and hand me money? Yes, please! The staff is friendly and helpful and the store well-organized. With growth spurts galore for young kids, I love OUAC for play clothes and often find brand new clothes with tags. I am always surprised by a few items with holes and stains, but it is on the buyer to inspect each item closely prior to purchase since you know upon entry that most items are used condition. I don't need to buy clothes with holes already in them...my kiddos can create those on their own in .2343 seconds of use. :-) read more

I will say that I find a lot of clothes here and I spend a lot of money here. But I probably will not be back with clothes to sell. I've made about $140 total but the last basket that I brought home I realized that they took sets apart that matched- they took shorts instead of the tops In what world does that make sense? They weren't even plain- they took lemon shorts that matched a lemon top...and they did that to two other Nike outfits. I guess if you have boutique sets make sure they don't separate them. read more

Very well organized and maintained consignment shop for everything kids. I like to get my son's play clothes here. Several of the pieces I purchase still have tags. I like The each piece is glently used and still in pretty good condition. The ladies are always friendly and helpful. read more

I've been going to once upon a child since I was pregnant with my daughter. She is now 3 years old. I absolutely love this store and the fact that they know you by name and you feel like family when you walk in. It's just so convenient to drop off a box to be sold and then use the money to buy the next round of clothes. Kids grow so fast it just makes much more sense to do it this way. I called ahead before arriving and they were polite on the phone. I get there and start to explain what I'm bringing and the girl who spoke to me acted like a snob. They did not tell me on the phone there was a container limit which is 3. Would have been helpful to know that. They explained they don't take items older that 5 which I understand but they acted like my items were beneath them. Don't waste your time with this store. I was not impressed and would not recommend! Management should train their staff on how to actually be polite and professional. read more

Great place to buy used kids clothes, I stop and stock up twice a year for each season. Also great to get rid of the stuff they grow out of. I'm too lazy/busy to meet up to sell an outfit here and there or have a yard sale. They do all the work for me! Love it. read more

I love Once Upon A Child for their clothing selection (often very cool) but when it comes to the toy selection, it's not so cool. Lots of noise makers and off brands. Also the display upfront with bassinets and seats and playhouses, gets emptier then it should sometimes. The clothes however are always in great shape and earn it the 3 star solidly, and without question. The toys/gear bring it from a 4 down to a 3. The shoes are also kind of wimpy selection and come and go. Luck to no luck. Might as well be a thift store. I come here after scoring basics in the thrift store, but when I'm still having trouble rounding out a category of clothing. Often skull shirts/cool cars/motorcycle t-shirts are what I walk out with, and if I'm lucky a pair of shoes to grow into. They are super picky with buying clothes, and I often don't get much in trade for the things I do bring in. I use the stamp system for purchasing a t or 2, (spend 10, don't use a bag etc..) and do wind up with 20% off purchase cards where I'll buy the more expensive things I want. read more

No surprise here when it comes to negative reviews because they're the same company as Plato's closet. Entirely too picky on items they take even in excellent used condition with no rips or stains. Yet I browse through the items they currently have for sale and the prices are out rages for the quality of what they have. Lots of mismatched pajama sets for expensive prices, and they have huge amounts of wear and stains on them.... not sure how they are still in business. Also the girls that work there would rather gossip and drop the "f bomb" than be professional and do their job. This is an environment for kids to be in as it's a kids store, I do not come in here to hear your dirty mouth. Will NOT RETURN. read more

This isn't a childcare place, it is a kids clothing store. The employees were extremely friendly, the clothes were in excellent condition and well organized. The store itself was very clean, I just wish they had shopping carts. read more

My wife and finally just started taking our stuff to KARM in town. While the prices are often really good here, the staff are extremely rude. They are overly picky with what they will take. My wife and I have caught them lying about why they won't take something and making false claims about something being on recall. We just got fed up with the store and won't bring our stuff to them anymore. Some of the worst people to deal with professionally. read more

This is a kids resale shop clothing store it was very disappointing I came in there to drop items off they were brand new in the box and all you have to do is push the button to see that they would work since they were brand new but instead their staff decided to open the toys open the boxes and remove the security ties in order to pull the toy out which takes away from the fact that it's new by removing it from the box I ended up not selling them any of my items and being very upset when I left that their staff of teenagers chose to open all of my brand new items I would not recommend bringing anything new there unless you're willing to have it opened and no longer NEW!!! read more
