Dr Jennifer (cannot recall last name) clearly has new millennial issues as she was brought to tears, supposedly by me, though truly I have No idea why...
Because I spoke too loudly?
I never yell at anyone, so again, not sure about this.
My interaction with Dr Jen is one which is hard to paraphrase as the entire interaction with her, I had no real idea what she was trying to say to me...
What I did know was that:
1) I could not afford to leave my dog in the hospital overnight as this is $1000 per night and just had my dog in there for 2 nights and 3 days a month ago.
2) I did not care to have the words: "May be time for a difficult decision". Yes this dr told me that when I know bloody well it was not time for that.
3) Her recommendation of treatment made no sense to me.
It was implied that I should think about putting my beloved dog down to which I boldly said, I would NOT be putting him down.
When it's time, it's time, but that time was not when I had him there.....
She also continued to use medical language to try and convince me that leaving him at the hospital was the best thing to do.
Then said to me: "You can leave him here, or you could take him home and have him.... Die...?"
These things were shaking me to my core!
Please excuse me as I may sound as though I have feelings regarding this situation.
So....
When I asked dr Jen about his test results, I was told they hadn't been done yet, at which point I suggested that maybe THAT SHOULD BE DONE!
A no brainer I thought...
So, NO oxygen tests were done, NO blood work was done in the 3.5 hours I was there waiting in a cold little room by myself without any word from anyone.
I could hear my dog barking in the back while sitting in the cold little room by myself, and later found out he had had seizures while back there that no one told me about.
But without any tests done to determine the severity of his condition, was just told that he needed to stay in the hospital or go home and risk having him die.
Of course I was not happy with my interaction with this dr, but I did not yell, I did not threaten, I did not condescend, I was not disrespectful....
I had human emotions about my beloved sick pet!
Yes, I am human. I was frustrated, and fearful of losing my pet after my interaction with dr Jen.
I was extremely scared, sad, anxious.....
I was told to check in 2 days later, only to find out upon checking in that they no longer wish to have me as a client.
What?!?!
Well ok. Glad I was able to put thousands of dollars into their business over the last few years.
We've been there a lot. Have never had this issue before. Never saw Dr Jen before....
Kind of makes you wonder where the problem might actually lie.
So if you go, beware of millennial attitudes amongst the young Dr there particularly dr Jen and don't show any emotions as this may be too much for her to take.
Dr Nelson on the other hand at this location, is a spectacular Dr. I will value his treatment and service forever! Hopefully Dr Nelson will decide at some point maybe a different clinic will serve him better also. read more
