I brought our dog here for vomiting and not eating for about 2 days. I brought him back to the clinic like first thing the following day. They kept him for a day for blood work and xray to determine what's going on. There were recommendations including "possible needing surgery" but no conclusive diagnosis or urgent recommendation to justify the surgery. Not very sure if there's a foreign object in the intestine. To cut the story shirt, after a day of observation we transferred our dog to Trinity hospital, and the surgery was done right away upon the strong recommendation from the emergency vet based on her blood work, xray and assessment of our dog's condition, which according to the emergency vet is really bad. So were very disappointed about the way Cochrane animal has handled our dog's condition. 1 day of observation didn't help our dog's condition. I will not recommend this clinic. Observation is expensive.

When I learned about Vets to Go, it sounded like a less stressful option for my kitties but still, I was initially very sceptical. Dr. Laura at Vets to Go was honest, friendly and very knowledgeable. The prices were fair, she took the time with each one of my cats and got to know their personalities a bit. She's come out twice now, and both times I have only positive things to say. I will continue to use this service, especially for check ups and non-stop emergency concerns. It was definitely less stressful for all 3 of my cats and not a huge price difference compared to other clinics I've been to. I highly recommend!

We brought our other cat too for some routine worm medication. My previous cat was also seen here (though I can't remember for the life of me the name of the vet, she was a lovely Asian lady). I have always had a fantastic experience here. The vets are honest, even if that honesty might be a little terrifying! But I appreciate having a clear idea of what is happening and not being placated by vagaries. The front staff are lovely and polite, and they're always super nice to me even if I bombard them with phone calls and questions! Both of my cats now seem to love coming here (minus the actual travel time, naturally). They both are happy and wanting pets and cuddles from the staff! It's nice having a vet that I like, but my cats also like! I had read somewhere that their pricing was a bit expensive, but after looking around at some other clinics, I've found that it's pretty close to what other clinics charge for the same things. Overall, I love this clinic and would absolutely recommend it to friends!

We have taken our 2 German Shepherds here twice, but the second time one of them fell really ill (knew there was something not quite right before taking him to the kennel, but saw vet prior to who found a minor problem so we all thought that was it and just required antibiotics). Nancy recognized something was seriously wrong and had our emergency contact take him to an emergency centre ASAP. This saved our boy's life as he likely would not have made it through the night do to a bleeding tumour on his spleen (unbeknownst to anyone). His life was saved because of her care, observation, and judgement. Also, Nancy does not nickel and dime for every extra thing a pet may need (food additives, medication, etc.), which isn't all that common from what we've seen and truly appreciated. Similarly, they will be matched with other dogs for play time! Our current dog is from the humane society and over the past couple of years we have gotten valuable feedback on her behaviour progress from John and Sara. Its great to know that when we head out of town our Taz is well cared for and safe! The grounds are very relaxing in a rural setting. On the drive in you will commonly drive by mule deer, and their driveway cuts through a couple of paddocks with horses. The kennels are indoor and outdoor and the dogs have their choice of in or out. Larger kennels for group stays are also present. Cochrane is a bit of a drive from Calgary, but its totally worth it for our peace of mind. And our dog always falls asleep as soon as we pick her up. I think her ideal world would be a stay at Springfield, with us there as well!

We, specifically, requested the dogs have their nails both trimmed and dremeled. The nails were not dremeled, nor were they groomed well. We noticed within a day that our daily brushing was still removing hand fulls of hair. Clearly an indication that the dogs were not thoroughly groomed. We dropped the dogs off at their 1:00pm scheduled appointment and were told that they would call us around 4:00. As we didn't receive a call we called and were told the dogs would be ready at 4:30. When we arrived we were told 10 more minutes. By no means did we rush them and we, patiently, waited in our vehicles for 15 minute to lessen the chaos inside. We are, extremely, disappointed with the service and the response we received. A, total, lack of accountability on the business.

It took a LONG time for them to get back to me though and I know it was because they are SO busy with people looking for a dog during COVID!
