They saved my trip to the Rockies!! When I arrived (unaware that altitude sickness was a thing) I messaged Alpine and many others in the middle of the night while nearly hyperventilating from lack of air. My heart rate was through the roof, I was nauseous, my head was spinning...I slept with my window open at 3° because I felt like I was suffocating. The check list for Altitude sickness, I checked them all! The gentlemen from Alpine messaged me back as soon as they opened (no one else messaged or called). He sent Becky who made sure I had oxygen delivered, set up and flowing within two hours. I rented for 5 days. They were over $250 less than the highest price and 24 hours faster than anyone else I researched who said they needed a days notice and/or would only rent for two days at a time. The service by Alpine was PRICELESS! I kept canned air with me for during the day while hiking, I do suggest that for anyone dealing with this. My husband's portable oxygen concentrator rented from Apria stopped working late on a Friday afternoon at the Pitkin County library. We tried everything. We called 911; his oxygen began dipping toward 80. Within 45 minutes, even after library hours, while the victim was temporarily breathing from an EMS oxygen tank, Joe of Alpine Oxygen arrived with another portable oxygen concentrator and taught us how to use it. His timing and patience were exceptional. In addition, when he realized that our car's cigarette lighter fuse that charges the machine while driving was broken, he learned how to install a new fuse in our fussy car so that we could begin a road trip the next day! Joe is amazing, supremely competent and compassionate. I give Alpine Oxygen an A plus, unlike Apria, who are not really available 24/7, and who told us to go to the emergency room of the nearest hospital. Let me first say, I rarely leave reviews. However, renting an Oxygen machine and using Alpine Oxygen warrant me writing this review. I ust returned from 5 days in Breck with my wife, two best friends, and 4 girls under age 10. I decided to rent Oxygen machine for group and called several of the places I found on Google. After a few calls I found Alpine Oxygen. The guys were great. Answered all my questions, gave me a better deal than any of the other companies I pulled up online, and dropped off a new, clean machine right on time at our house on the mountain. And best of all, Chris was super cool and friendly. Gave me several attachments and showed everyone how to use the machine. It was worth every single penny. Everyone was refreshed, no altitude sickness, and the peace of mind was priceless. Who cares about the price anyway when you drop $10k on trip. At the end of the trip, we just left the machine in the house and they guys came and picked it up without any hassle. Even sent me email letting me know they got the machine. Folks.... my wife and I travelled to Keystone this year and despite our best efforts to prevent O2 sickness with my wife she came down with it during our first night. I woke at 5am to find my wife in pure agony so I texted and despite the time he wrote me back and said he would call at 7am. He followed thru and by 9:15 had a machine delivered to our house. My wife was much better after 30 min and she used it periodically throughout the trip and it save our vacation. These guys were amazing! We took our grandkids ages 3 & 5 to Frisco, Colorado to make memories & show them snow. Being from Orlando at sea level we were worried about going from there to 9100 feet in the beautiful Rocky Mts. We figured about a week before our arrival perhaps we should get oxygen for the condo. Initially we called another oxygen company in the area but they were no help. They also charge for delivery. Thank heaven they weren't helpful because we continued looking & were sooooo lucky to happen onto Mark at Alpine Oxygen! He answered every question & went out of his way to put our concerns at ease. These guys are all dads & understand everything relating to the use of oxygen in high altitudes! Not only were their prices more than competitive, they don't nickel & dime you with every little thing. NO charge for our delivery & the O2 unit was there waiting for us when we arrived with ample masks & Cannulas. Directions were easy & from then on we dealt with the magnificent Chris who was our lifesaver. Not only was he available by cell for immediate assistance thru the week, he ran over to our place at least 2 extra times with special tiny masks for our tiny grandson. Never a complaint never an extra charge! So unique in a tourist driven industry. We will be going back again and will never go anywhere else for our oxygen needs in the Breckinridge area. What an amazing company with honest decent wonderful employees! Highly recommend using them---the oxygen helps above 8000 feet especially if you're not used to it or youvare older like us.
