Ed returned with a quote right around the same as the other company. When I called to find out what type of door he was actually quoting me he never returned the call . I had decided to go with overhead garage door as they were the best bid and seemed the most professional. I received a message from Ed's office asking if there's any further questions. I decided to give them a call to see if they could answer my question on what door they were quoting. When the lady in the office was calling Ed across the room, she forgot to mute the phone and I heard Ed bad mouthing me, saying I was a time waster. Our door was heavy and technician said we should replace the old spring so the load of door would be easier if n door opener. I agreed and he said he didn't have any on him at moment but let's schedule a time to do it. He came back on Wednesday and took about 30 minutes to put two new heavy duty springs on the door. He showed me when he was done and it was nice to see the door go up and stop at each bend and stay still. (You have to have door off of opener to test it) even though I had to pay for trip charge twice that was alright because now I know the door is safe to open if power goes out and won't slam down on someone. Not so great…read more Sergio has great prices and that's what lures you in. But that comes with it's faults too. 1) Bad at returning calls. I found out later that he also didn't return calls or show up to my brother's house. 2) His original fix didn't work - still leaking. He warned me it might not. After a more expensive fix, I asked for pics. No pics. Next rain - it continued to leak in the same place. When I called again (within warranty period) he hung up on me. I forwarded him the warranty info that his wife had sent. He did come over with some workers to take a look and fix the issue. This last winter's rain (lots of it) it did not leak so I give him that. 3) First time he came by I asked him if I would be better off replacing and he said no, I had several years left. After the second time leaking (within the year), and me calling, he said my roof was rotted out. What? To be fair, I did not pay him at first due to no pics. I just wanted to see what he was charging me the extra money for. I told him prior to working on the roof I wanted the pics and texted him the next day to see if he had taken pics of the work. Nothing. So I am leak free. His prices are good. It's getting to be summer now so maybe you would have better luck with him now = less busy. His warranty is one year so as it doesn't rain that often (except this last winter) douse your house with water where the leak is just to verify the work was done correctly.
