The owner, David, diagnosed the issue, told me what repairs entailed, the price it would cost and how long it would take him to fix. He called me a few weeks later to say your lamp is ready for pick up. Excellent repairs. So the shop looks a bit cluttered, and I commented that it looked like he had just about everything lamps. We spent some time at Home Depot and Lowes with their window covering sales associates and we were a little frustrated with our results to say the least. Every time we would call to get an update they would either treat us like it was the first time we were calling or we would have to sit on hold to have the phone never picked back up. This happened at both companies. Very unprofessional sales associates. A week later, at dinner with family, our story of distress came up in conversation. My brother in law reassured us that he was very familiar with Dustin Sterling and his company Sterling Shades and Shutters aka THE BEST SHUTTER COMPANY IN THE DENVER AREA. Just like that, the next morning we had the owner on the phone. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and he truly has a passion for the industry. That day we narrowed down, selected our style and whole 6 days later, he and his crew had our new plantation shutters delivered & installed. They look beautiful and the wife couldn't be happier. Happy wife/happy life! We would highly recommend Sterling Shades and Shutters to anyone looking for this type of service. Thanks again Dustin!

Nick spent ample time with us and provided a solution to fix the sinking yard and recommended turf replacement due to new stringent water restrictions and lack of similar sod available for purchase. Nick was very thorough. He explained the entire process and the benefits of turf. Nick brought in 14 tons of road base, a jumping jack and a compactor. We realized the previous landscape company never compacted our yard. Nick did an exceptional job in correcting the problem and in installing 750 sq ft of turf. What a remarkable difference and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of work Nick provided. We highly recommend Nick and Cozza Customs & Designs!

My realtor recommended Alpine Building…read morePerformance to me, and the result was my saving $65k off the list price of the home I ended up buying, because of Owen's attention to detail, passion for learning, pride in his work, and dedication. After Owen had completed the inspection, provided me with the report, and had my money, he called me the next day to tell me that an article he happened to be reading reminded him of something he'd seen in my home (but thought nothing of at the time). After chatting on the phone and going through the inspection report, we found that some of the piping in the house was part of a massive recall. That saved me a lot of money and helped me to make sure to know what to monitor after buying the home. Owen is thorough and friendly, and he helped me to understand everything in the inspection report that I had questions about after doing a walkthrough with me at the end of the inspection itself. He even had no problem with my tagging along as he performed the inspection. I would highly recommend Alpine Building Performance and Owen in particular to anyone needing a home inspection.

Please please please let this review stop you from making the outrageously expensive mistake I have…read moremade in choosing to work with this company. Quotes: I got three quotes. Rocky Mountain was the most expensive by 33%. I went with them because they had more fabric options, and the product seemed to be of superior quality. Design Process: Required 4 home visits and 2 show room visits. What we clearly and explicitly agreed upon was not contracted (my bad) and when the wrong product got installed, the designer and manager gaslit me to believe that what we clearly and explicitly agreed to was not agreed upon. Installation: Took 6.5 weeks from signed contract. The installers were fine, but I heard them whispering in the bedroom and checked in - the shades were not the right size. They continued installing them (as they had already taken the previous privacy shades down) so that we would have privacy in our bedroom. I later received another call from the designer that, in fact, those shades would need to be sent back, recut, and rehung. We could have paper shades in the mean time. Their mistake will require an additional 2 trips into my home, countless hours interacting with the company, and they will not compensate me at all. Additionally, the roman shades we purchased for a theatre room were ungodly expensive - I went ahead because I loved the potential and assumed that I would get what I paid for. You would not believe how terrible these look - crooked, caddy-wompus in the corner, and letting in so much light you would think that was the goal. I would have better luck spending $200 at Target or $500 at Anthropologie.
