We were exhausted from walking all day but suddenly he found a burst of energy and was fine browsing the store for over an hour. There are two floors with a cafe on the 2nd floor. Overall, there is a really big selection and there were lots of people shopping while we were there. Service was good; the registers are located downstairs and they have lots of cute items + point of purchase displays. I was overstimulated by the time we reached the register but that may just have been because it had been a long day.

Located right across from Bryant Park, it's almost impossible to walk by without going in. It's usually crowded, but that's part of its charm. The store has three levels, each worth exploring. The main floor features an impressive selection of books, including bestsellers and new releases right as you walk in. The lower level is where you'll find collectibles, specialty pens, beautiful notebooks and stationery, unique gifts, even more books, and plenty of cute items that will tempt you to spend more than you planned. The book selection is excellent, although I have to admit the prices can be a bit on the higher side. The staff are always friendly, and checkout is surprisingly quick, so don't let the long lines discourage you. One thing to note: drinks aren't allowed inside, so you'll need to leave them with security before entering. If you're visiting the area or spending time around Bryant Park, I highly recommend stopping by. Whether you're a book lover or just enjoy browsing, this bookstore is absolutely worth a visit.

The original item was $17 something but by the time I paid for the postage, etc., it was $26! I am furious and disgusted, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I NEED THIS ITEM NOW!!!!! I notice that the "recent reviews" are from two years ago. Obviously, SOMETHING is happening with this company that has nothing to do with the Covid virus. Perhaps another distributor provides better service.

During my visit on a Saturday afternoon, my wait was 45 minutes. Which was fine, had plenty to occupy my time. Despite paying higher price's for shipping packages. My package which was going local to Queen's took over 2 weeks to arrive. If I am mailing off packages to the Southern part of the Country, it takes a week or so. The service left a lot to be desired, but that did not stop me from being thrilled to have my packages mailed out. The architecture of this majestic post office is on another level. The Corinthian colonnades, and the Imperial Coat of Arms of Prussia. This specific design is carved into a decorative, hexagonal ceiling panel, which is commonly found in historic government buildings, palaces, or university halls constructed during the Prussian era or German Empire.

Prior to meeting with Ipanema Press, clients fill out a short survey about your wedding style, logistics, etc. - Erica even researched our wedding website to learn more about my (now) husband and I. When we arrived for our first meeting, there weren't any books to flip through - Erica had two samples waiting that she thought were our style. I loved both and knew I wanted a mixture of the two. She quickly pulled out a sample...this was our wedding invite! Reflecting on our first meeting, what I appreciated very much is that within minutes Erica had essentially selected our wedding invitation for us - the rest of our appointment was spent designing the suite (wedding program, escort cards, etc.) and finalizing the details of the invitation (there are so many - verbiage, reply cards, paper stock, envelope color/paper/font, etc.). It's those details that made our invitation so special, memorable, and got our guests excited for your special day! At other places, I spent my ENTIRE appointment trying to even find an invite I maybe liked. Throughout the entire process, Adrienne made me feel like the only job she was working on (especially during the proofing process). Her thoughtful design set a tone of anticipation and were not only beautiful to look at but felt lovely to the touch with the letterpressing and creamy, substantial paper. Hannah sold us the vector file for the custom logo/crest design she created for us to use on those other items as we wished. She's not only very creatively talented, she's also great at listening to the needs and wants of a client as well as reading people to offer her own suggestions to make the finished work that much more special. She's warm, detail-oriented and great at communication. For custom work, we were very happy with the overall value we received relative to how talented she is. The design, color scheme, creamy and substantial paper, letter pressing...all beautiful and cohesive. Months later we're still getting compliments on the beautiful suite (including programs and menus) she designed for us. We used fragile sea shells for escort cards (and had some last minute seating changes), and Gabby did an amazing job on that project - even repackaging the shells perfectly in a box with layers of bubble wrap for us to transport to the venue.
