After having a bad experience with another company, I called Alpine Chimney for a second opinion. Joe and Brian, came and gave a truthful opinion, without looking to charge me for services that I didn't need (as the other company had). Their prices were also 4/5th the cost of the first company. In an industry that does not have the greatest reputation, Alpine Chimney operates with honesty and integrity. I will be using them going forward. read more

Joe and his team at Alpine were outstanding. I called just a day in advance to schedule an appointment, and they were able to fit me in for a prompt inspection and chimney cleaning the very next day. Joe was professional, and the team delivered high-quality work without leaving any mess behind. Highly recommended! read more

Herman and Javier did an amazing job cleaning my fireplace chimney and installing a new liner in my heating chimney. They were prompt, professional, friendly, explained everything fully and completed the work quickly at a very fair price. They went above and beyond my expectations and I highly recommend calling them. read more

Very dishonest and untrustworthy company! We needed a new chimney cap and after their inspection, we were told the chimney line needed extensive repair work totaling over $4,000. Contacted a company owned by a retired Fire Chief who said the line was fine and all we needed was a new cap for which he charged just over $300. Shameless and despicable that this company would take advantage of people's trust like that. read more

Haven't used our fireplace in 15-20 years. Called Alpine for sweep and inspection. Pleasant and responsive communication. Personable and knowledgeable techs. Brian and Joe were on time, efficient, knowledgeable and neat. Recommendations were on point. There's a reason this company has been around for years. Highly recommend. read more

Customer for a few years now. Always pleasant, respectful and honest. Highly recommend! A+

Joe and the team were very professional and did a great job on our two chimney's; boiler heat and fire stove. Our livingroom is an add-on to the original house from the previous owner. The fire stove is great, but it wasn't meant to be a fire stove, was meant to be a regular fire place, so the liner and cap on the chimney were never done properly. Joe came in, and even with the supply chain issues, was able to get the parts to bring it to code within a couple of weeks. I highly recommend him. The only reason that I didn't give him 5 stars, was due to the follow up communications, of when they would work on the chimney and had to call myself a couple of times, but once we locked down a date, everything was great. Joe's team came on the date we scheduled and Joe personally followed up, after his workers completed the job. Alfonso, who works for Joe is great and very professional, even took off his shoes and wore a mask, before entering my house. read more

Joe and his team at Alpine are life savers (literally) !! We had a leak in our chimney and asked them to come and check it out. They did a sweep first and came in and told us our liner was atrocious and would need to be replaced along with the cap. Downstairs Brian informed us that the duct was not even attached to the liner. When they took the liner out Joe showed us the many holes in it and how damaged the cap was. Joe and Brian informed us that some CO may have been leaking into our house slowly and was surprised we didn't have headaches. They were in and out in an hours time fixed all our issues and basically saved our lives. I recommend Alpine to absolutely everyone . Professional , honest and reasonable. read more

I highly recommend Alpine Chimney to anyone who is looking for a friendly, reliable, and professional chimney cleaning and repair company. read more

Alpine Chimney Sweeps - First fire after my annual cleaning. - Chimney Sweeps Near Me - Mount Sinai, New York

Made an appointment with Alpine Chimney Sweep because the previous company we hired did a horrible job selling us a liner when we did not need one. The previous company did not fix our problem so when Joe and Brian arrived they saw what was needed which was not a liner but a new damper. They fixed our issue of smoke in home, explained how to use it and left after cleaning up their work space which is sometimes not the case with other contractors. If you have any issues or need a fireplace or chimney company do yourself a favor and hire Alpine Chimney Sweep so you don't get scammed like we did. read more

When I woke up with my chimney cap in the middle of my backyard and a puddle around my wood burning stove I wasn't sure who to call. After reading online reviews, I went with alpine and I'm so glad I did! The woman I spoke with on the phone was fantastic and I had Joe out to my house the same day. He was friendly and efficient and explained everything to me. Turns out I actually had the wrong chimney cap on! Joe also answered some questions I had about the stove. I'll definitely be calling them again! Thank you! read more

This company advertises in the Valpak for a $199 cleaning. Good luck getting an appointment. They canceled two times on me. Left several messages and they never phoned me back. I just gave up. Terrible! read more

Very honest, thank you for coming out and doing the safety inspection. They wont try to sell you anything unless you need it.

I used alpine a couple times, never again. Their workmanship and attention to detail is atrocious. I hired them to install a clean out door on my chimney. They literally spent ten minutes installing it with cement and silicone, it looks like total crap. They didn't even use a trowel, they just spread the cement and silicone with their fingers. After they left, a giant glob of cement fell from the top, inside of the clean out opening. I opened the door to find it laying there, dried to the floor of the box, in a pile. I had to chisel it out. I recommend that you look elsewhere for your chimney needs, because these guys suck. Follow up to the retailer comment: I did call you and ask you to fix it. Your guys looked at the thing and basically shrugged their shoulders. They told me they didn't see a problem. It shouldn't take a bad review for you to finally attempt to do the right thing. Forget it, I don't need anybody from your company to ever set foot on my property again. read more

I called at about 11 AM in the middle of a new boiler install after discovering that my chimney was in bad shape, and by 1 PM the owner/operator, Joe, was at my house. He installed a sleeve and cleaned my chimney the same afternoon. Great quality work and a local business that is owned by people who care. read more

Alpine Chimney = Muppet Show. Hired them to install a stainless steel flue; gave them $1,000 deposit; told 4 weeks; radio silence; called the 5th week; they finally came out 7 weeks after estimate; brought the wrong size pipe so their crew wasted a half day getting the right size pipe; during chimney cap work the workers left the fireplace uncovered so soot and dust got all over my living room; tried to talk to workers about this but none spoke more than conversational English; called the main office and got voicemail; finally connected hours later and had to go back-and-forth to get 1/2 usual house cleaning bill and $60 for smaller pipe (no receipts provided) deducted from final bill - I WILL NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN read more

Vacuumed the ashes out of my fire place, never touched the flu. Not worth $96. Would not recommend.

I took a chance by submitting an inquiry on yelp and Alpine chimney was great from the first message. They had to reschedule the first appt due to the weather, but informed me right away. When they did make it to my home to clean my chimney it was fast and very well done. Will be using them for my yearly cleaning for now on. read more

I needed a service, I called Alpine , they were fast and did the job in a quick turn out.

Bad guys! Be careful! Alpine called me and asked me if I would like to have my chimneys swept. My oil conpany used them when installing my new heating system, so I figured they were trustworthy. They swept the chimneys and recommended that I have a liner installed because my chimney was damaged. They even showed me a picture of the inside of "my chimney" They installed the liner, took my $1800 and left. The next winter, my heat goes out. The oil company tells me the liner is too small and that my chimney was fine and I didn't need a liner. It turns out, the picture was of someone elses chimney. Alpine, you got me. Hopefully this doesn't happen to any of you. Consider yourselves warned! read more

Very disappointed by service. They had to cancel due to an emergency job which happens. They said they would call back later that day to reschedule. I followed up twice via phone and then later that week via their website where I was told someone would get back to me. No one ever did. Needless to say I won't be using them again. read more

We called Alpine Chimney Sweeps to get a chimney flue cap replaced, as we got a $20 off coupon by mail. The person who came to perform the services gave a verbal quote to my wife that it would be $150 if we got both flue caps done. Once on the roof, he called my wife and mentioned that the crown needed to be repaired, which he indicated would be $200. My wife told him to go ahead with it. On completion of the job, she was presented with an invoice for $700.00 2 flue caps installed - 300.00 1 vent cap installed - 75.00 2 crown repairs - 325.00 Since the job was already completed, there was no choice but to pay the amount. Instead of an expected cost of $150 - $350 dollars, we ended up paying $700. Apline should have clearly stated the expected costs in a written estimate, particularly when the numbers were going to be so high. They might have thought that they were being clear in their communications, but when dealing with customers who rarely use such services, and when the terms are unfamiliar, this just leads to unhappy endings without a written estimate being presented. We feel that we were rushed into the decision making, with an unclear understanding of whether all the services performed were required, and what the total cost of the repairs would be. Alpine needs to clearly articulate the services being provided, the need for such services, provide a written estimate and gain customer approval before proceeding with the work. Otherwise, they are just going to have a growing list of unhappy customers. read more

Joe and Brian were fantastic! They cleaned my woodburning fireplace insert and very tall flue. They were right on time, fully masked, pulled back my carpets upon entering my home, removed their shoes and vacuumed their way out at the end of the job.
