Singing Hills Memorial Park

After helping a dear friend navigate arrangements at a large, corporate-run memorial park, I knew…read moreour family needed an alternative. At Singing Hills Memorial Park, the experience is completely different. It's comforting, personal, and family-oriented. Nothing about losing a loved one is ever easy, but Iris, our family service advisor, was so reassuring and helpful in guiding us through the arrangements for my mom's interment. There were no high-pressure sales pitches. We were simply informed of our options and offered choices that met our family's needs. I especially appreciated being able to work with Iris throughout the entire process. On the day of my mom's interment, Iris was waiting for my cousin and me at the gravesite with everything prepared. Her calm demeanor and steady presence were very reassuring. She followed our lead and allowed the moment to unfold naturally, without making it feel formal or scripted. I'm also thankful for her suggestion that we take photos and for the thoughtful way she arranged the flowers and mementos I had brought before my mom's urn was placed in the vault. Those gestures meant a great deal to me. Thank you, Iris, for helping us create a peaceful final memory of caring for our dear mom, grandma, and aunt. I'm very grateful for the kindness you showed our family.

My wife died. We were married for 56 years and then I get this mess with these people everyone else including the funeral home la Pine Oregon has been wonderful singing hills questionable We purchased the site at 05 it took until 2015 to finally haven't put down a marker that we paid for back an 05 Now my wife passed away August 10. I informed them on August 11 asking what kind of leadtime do you need the one on the phone didn't understand why I was trying to tell her I explained to her when can we have the service based on what you need to do she was blank. I then ask about the marker which has been paid for she said well they may have to carve on that. I explained to her there's nothing to carve. It's a marble placard or their bronze plate on top of it with our name and birth on it. She tells me all they may have to check that up and send it out. I told her not on my nickel. Second person says no they'll come in and somehow put their numbers on the bronze plaque. He'll get back to me. Never dead I call again. I get this last woman. She finally could answer her questions. She then tells me that in addition to $900 to open up the grave I'll be another $300 to put the numbers or the date of where you wanna call that my wife passed away and then ask her what is provided when you open up the grave because the other two could never tell me she tells me they will open up the grave and prepare it. There will be some kind of a device. The container I bought fits into to bury. I'm kind of a concrete device container whatever she also tells me that Singing hills will provide a table and a microphone, and some chairs to that forms me there forms that need to be signed back again to can you do that Howard I just explained to you. Yes she then tells me there's another form that needs to be something from the County of San Diego my Brother. Brother will take care of that. Then ask her do you need the death certificate she was on on ab about she spoke to the funeral home where we live in La Pine Ma'am, I didn't ask you that I asked you do you need it no She then informed me the County of San Diego might need Wonderful again something I wasn't told before folks is called communication I wish I had never purchased anything from Singing Hills back in 2005 Unfortunately, I'm kind of stuck I apologies for my rant I have more this is enough

England Family Mortuary

We used England Family Mortuary for our Mom's final arrangements (Mom was alive at this time but…read morebarely). Honestly one of the most challenging things I have ever done in my life. It took me about 5 minutes sitting in my car to get myself together to walk into the door. Once I made it past the front door the staff was amazing. A gentleman that I didn't catch his name expressed his genuine condolences and sat me into a conference room. I didn't have to wait long and Zac came in to walk me through everything. When mom did pass. The arrangements were executed without any hiccups. I am very thankful for their service in our time of need and would recommend them to anyone else that has a loved one that needs arrangements done.

Joey greeted us and made sure we had what we needed. They had everything ready on time, were very accommodating and the place was immaculate. The sanctuary itself was beautifully decorated, I felt so comfortable, like I was at home. The bathrooms are super clean and smelled really fresh as well. We wanted to serve coffee and some snacks, they had 3 tables ready to go in the back of the room which I decorated and arranged food on. I brought 2 carafes to make coffee in as well as table decorations and some finger foods. It worked out perfectly. Overall, we were all so grateful for everything England Family Mortuary had to offer and the services they provided. They are 3 generations of caring individuals who put a great deal of pride into their work and mortuary. I would use them again in a second. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you offered peace and protection during a very hard time. We felt you were on our side. We're so grateful.

I just wrote a thorough review about Featheringill Mortuary on Google. Please read it. I highly…read morerecommend you choose Featheringill Mortuary if you suffer a loss of a loved one. The representatives are knowledgeable, patient, compassionate and extremely empathetic. They do not pressure you into buying unnecessary items you do not want. In other words, they do not take advantage of your grief. They are more concerned about what you want - what your needs are. They also offer other resources that can help you during and after the services. Please go into their website and read my review. I want to thank Aracely and Kyle for helping my family through a very difficult time. Your kindness, patience and expertise were greatly appreciated.

Instead of having the family burdened with additional responsibilities when his time comes- it was great to see him being proactive. And honestly, a huge relief, in my opinion. Back then, and to this present day- he's been living in a facility that takes care of his daily needs. So, when I got his phone call that a representative from Featheringhill Mortuary would make the drive to him and get the paperwork started- pops requested my presence as well. So, I brought this up to my momma- (parents have been divorced for 30 years & actually have a friendship still). And she asked to be present as well, with pops approval. Had a representative not made the visit to his facility- we would have rented a mobility van, which isn't cheap to make such arrangements. The FM representative was patient and forthcoming when it came to explaining services, what to expect when payment is made, and why we would receive paperwork from a life insurance company. Since the arrangements have been accommodated for pops- momma has been interested in getting something very similar to his policy. As the years passed by, I have procrastinated in setting up the appointment for momma. We finally set one up and went to their location. I asked if they could retrieve pop's policy and we can piggyback on his arrangements. The FM rep was patient with momma, who has trouble at times understanding the English language. Her appointment took an hour. We didn't feel rushed at all. We booked our appointment first thing in the morning. Parking lot in the back, with some of the stalls looking very cramped. And off street parking on El Cajon Blvd. I'm most likely going to make my arrangements with FM very soon as well.

Losing my mom was one of the most painful experiences of my life, but the kindness and care we…read morereceived from this mortuary helped carry us through it in a way I'll never forget. From the very beginning, Thomas and Jodi treated us and my mother with gentleness, dignity, and deep respect. Jodi was exactly the person we needed to guide us through the difficult paperwork and the emotional process of choosing the final items for my mom's goodbye. She made it feel manageable, even when it felt like the world was falling apart. Thomas... I don't even have words for how grateful I am for him. He has a gift, he can read a room with so much grace and compassion. On one of the worst days of my life, he made things bearable somehow. He honored my mom as a vessel that carried her spirit, and he was deeply respectful of our traditions. He's a truly special person, and I will never forget his presence during that time. I hope I don't have to return for a long time, but when the time does come again, I wouldn't trust anyone else with the sacred task of preparing a loved one for the next world. This place and its people are a blessing during such a difficult time.
