I went to see what gear they had this season. I ended up leaving with the finger shoes that ran me $100 but worth every penny. They have a lot of Patagonia gear from Ski and outerwear jackets, to the matching bottoms, sweaters, shirts, under gear to keep you warm, boots, hiking attire... you name it. If it's for the outdoors, they might have something here for you. Being a large provider of the high end brand, you truly get what you pay for. It's worth saving up for a good piece of out door gear that won't wear out. Parking is across the street off Minaret or you can take the local free transit system or if you stay fairly close to the village, you can walk here. Friendly staff greeting you with a smile.

We wandered in after having had dinner at the Village, cool little shop. The store was quite busy with one employee and she was great. She was tending to everyone's needs and was happy and friendly. The store had a sale on winter gear making it extra busy. I was looking for a new pair of hiking boots or shoes as the old boots were well, just old. They were still quite comfy, but it was time to replace them. The clerk found my size right away, offered me the next size as she said they tend to run a little small and with hiking socks the larger size may be more comfortable. While trying both on and in a quandry about which size to get, she checked in on me several times offering advice. Decision made, heading to the register, there was a short line and she juggled customers like a pro. The boots were on sale, yahooo, and within a few short minutes we were on our way. I have to say, if you are in the area of the village, I would pop in and have a look around, they have a good selection and the prices were reasonable for Mammoth.

Love my new boots!

It was lovely. We went up the hill to Twin lakes, George and Mary lakes, and many more. So pretty. Prices were good, but service was outstanding! We had a wonderful time and even stopped at Mammoth Brewing for a beer, like Jen had suggested. Great time. Super fun day. Thanks Jen, you rock!

It came with very old looking bindings and they claimed that it was all they had. Day 2 on the slopes, front binding became loose and back binding ankle strap couldn't click in. My friend was stuck on the mountain without safe equipment to get down, so she had to call ski patrol to get her down with downhill lifts. A fun blue bird day was cut short for her. When returning the gear and asking for a refund for the second day, the shop had the audacity to deny responsibility and claim that the gear was working when it was rented out and that my friend should've brought the gear back while being stuck on the mountain. They ended up offering a 5 dollar discount, when the old equipment they rented out wasn't even worth the 2 days demo price was that was charged. This shop does not belong in the ski industry. It showed zero concerns about the safety of their patrons and zero responsibility for the garbage equipment that they rented out.

I'm not really sure what is up with the vibe of mammoth these days but it's not a resort vibe at…read moreall, it feels like a trash can wrapped in a Gucci belt and this store is a perfect example of that. My partner and I walked in to the store this evening hoping to find some new ski boots to purchase and the employee on the floor was chatting away with someone but didn't even acknowledge us yet I was making multiple comments about the boots and which ones I wanted. I didn't think beyond the weird lack of an intro but to when the second employee came out and helped a customer who was very much not next in line I knew this was not the place I was going to spend money on new boots. The employee who was on the floor knew we were waiting to be helped but didn't make a comment and the customer didn't ask if we were next and I'm sure there are cameras in the back. There's no excuse for this level of shit customer service of any kind. The store was beautiful but the people running it, could give two f's about you... Do not buy boots from here -- buying a product of any kind you are also paying for the experience and the experience here is total garbage.

This amendment reflects the remainder of my experience post initial review…read more I returned to the location to have my boots punched again two days after my initial experience per their timeline of willingness to help. The first punch didn't seem to alleviate my pain, though to their initial point it was hard to discern because my feet were already irritated. But, because they refused to help two weeks later during MLK they forced my hand into having more work done on the boots. This experience was much better. They upheld their initial offer of continued service, no questions asked, and did more work on my boots. I interacted with a completely new employee who was very pleasant. The next morning I went in to pick up my boots and was confronted by the manager who was incredibly rude to me the last time we interacted. He questioned me about my initial yelp review to which I asked what about it was false. He had no rebuttal to its authenticity and became very amenable to helping me in that moment. We conversed about my initial experience and settled on a possible misunderstanding for the initial price I was quoted as well as high tensions in the shop that fostered a jump to animosity on the part of the employees. While I do not condone the behavior that I was exposed to, I did accept the apology I was given and was appreciative of the continued work done on my boots. It's hard to tell if progress was made. My feet are still sore, and my boots are still hurting me, but as I've been told, that's the industry. At least they were men of their word, were big enough to apologize, and tried their best to fix the issue a second time.
