They replaced it after three weeks on their lot, then when I went to pick it up it was installed incorrectly. The "Open" and "Close" rod was installed on the FRONT arm into nothing. If I'd driven it away without looking it would have UNFOLDED on the highway!! At first, I told the installation guys I wanted to watch them unfold it and they said they didn't know how, after they installed it. Said there was no manual that came with it and they don't usually handle manual canopies, only the electric ones. This was when I found that the lock mechanism was in the wrong spot. They "fixed" it right then by removing the rod from the front and re-installing it on the rear arm, where the rod goes into the lock mechanism. Well, I should've said NO, you will take this trailer right back into your repair area and fix it right. Because...after unfolding the canopy the SECOND TIME since the repair it got hung up and now will not unfold. The arms were put on backward, is what it looks like. (Unrelated, I also have a friend who bought an $18,000 trailer from them which had a leaking water tank. They had to fight with them to get it fixed.) DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR RV HERE FOR REPAIRS OR BUY ONE FROM THEM!!! I wish I'd NEVER gone to them. It cost me over $2,500 for a canopy that I have been able to open only ONCE!! GRRRR.

I brought my Freightliner chassis RV in for a 100k service. I gave them a service schedule, and my…read morevin number. They did two things wrong, one of which was near catastrophic, the other of which may have damaged my injectors on my Caterpillar 3126B. First, they didn't latch the lock onto the end of my tow bar pin. As a result, the tow bar came out on the freeway at 65 MPH, and my tow vehicle was flopping around behind my RV like a fish on a line. Luckily, my Jeep suffered no damage, The towbar was severely damaged, and my road debris screen destroyed. I had to spend $1200 to buy a new towbar. Secondly, my CAT has a single remote filter, which is listed under my VIN information. It's a 2 micron filter. These guys put on a 10 micron filter. This is unacceptable, and there is no excuse for this error. A 10 micron filter is a pre-filter. They know that there was no other filter on the engine, because they didn't replace one. Additionally, part of the 100k service is a thorough inspection of the exhaust system. Shortly after returning to my home state on the west coast, my exhaust sheared of at the muffler. Upon checking for the cause, I found that there is corrosion throughout the system at every junction, especially the clamps and hangers. One soft mount was completely separated, which probably allowed for movement of the muffler and pipe which caused the exhaust to sheer where it was already weakened. I now feel compelled to go through the entire inspection list for myself. With the cost of replacing my injectors, I'm looking at a total cost of over $5,000 to repair the results of their shoddy work. I wish I could say this is an isolated incident for a Freightliner service center. Unfortunately, it's what I've come to expect. My next RV will have a Spartan chassis, and I will do every scheduled maintenance item myself.

They didn't have the parts, said they would call when parts are in.Two weeks later I called and the parts were in (thanks for the call), I made a fourth stop/appointment. They put some new parts on the bottom but never addressed all the damage and noise. They never finished the work. All of which is described in the report and paid for by me and my, Insurance company. They then said "it's probably a tie rod and they'll have to take it somewhere else to determine if the damage and noise was due to the accident".... Yes, it was, on the report and PAID to Sonny's to fix! I have used Sonny's for 30+ years, the latest ownership ain't no Sonny. The travel and time spent so far on this PAID for job is now more than I've spent on the deductable. I do not recommend, nor trust this shop. I will repair it out of my own pocket rather than get them a opportunity to not fix the agreed upon paid for work. As of now five 72 mile trips to have my car not fixed. Cheaper to deal with it locally, by a trustworthy business. caveat emptor
