As a travel athlete, the goal of rehab is not only healing but returning to peak performance. The first PT who assessed my kid was not friendly - I would probably say she was a bit condescending, and made us feel bad for allowing knee bending exercises, something both the surgeon and the previous PT had encouraged. She instructed us to stop all bending exercises, including heel slides, until further notice. When she sarcastically asked my kid to lift a straight leg and immediately pointed out the inability to do so, my kid explained that the foot was stuck on the table base. No chance to let her try again, PT moved on to whatever was next on her list of things to do. Despite nothing appearing abnormal in recovery, the PT dismissed our explanations and remained condescending throughout. I simply said we'd email the doctor's protocol to her rather than argue. We later learned from the second PT - not from scheduling, check-in, or even the first PT herself - that the initial PT was leaving in a couple of weeks as she was a traveling PT, and we'd be reassigned to someone else. Given that ACL rehab typically lasts 7-12 months (a timeframe she herself confirmed), it was disappointing that this wasn't disclosed upfront. It reflected a lack of continuity and care for the patient experience. The second PT was much kinder and even seemed surprised by the "no bending" instruction. He gave my kid very basic quad engagement exercises on the table with light stretching. However, he was clearly managing multiple patients at once, leaving my kid waiting between exercises. The appointment also ran to about 80 minutes, despite being told it would last an hour, and only ended because I mentioned we had to get to school. Afterward, I contacted the doctor, who advised us to stop going there immediately since not bending the knee could harm recovery. I would not recommend this place, especially for young athletes.

She is the owner/operator and 100% of her attention is given to the client so she can tailor the exercises to strengthen the problem areas. She monitors my form and makes sure I am doing things correctly. She continues to challenge me so that I work towards diminishing my chronic pain! I also was never notified of this strict policy--I double checked my appointment confirmations and registration paperwork. My therapist knows I have a newborn and a broken foot, and they showed me zero compassion. I explained that I could not arrange childcare again the very next day (which is when they wanted to reschedule) to which staff replied "oh." I called back to cancel all my appointments, and they didn't even care to ask why. Of note, if you're considering pelvic floor therapy, the therapist will perform your internal exam in an open area with just a curtain drawn around the table with men exercising around you. Then they charged me for 3 additional visits which never occurred. They charged my insurance company over a $1,000 for the services I never received. I wrote and asked them to stop and wrote my insurance company telling them not to pay for a service I never received. Guess what? Pivot continues to send invoices for services never provided. Its time to inform the Commonwealth Wealth of Virginia Attorney and inform him they have committed fraud and file a compliant with the Virginia SSC.

I would normally give one star based on my experience overall, but I am giving two stars because the OT Jamelle and the PT Kelly were wonderful with my dad and providing family training. I myself am a healthcare worker and I'm aware of what the services should entail. They are clearly vested in their businesses bottom line, not patient care. My dad was seen by an licensed PT for the initial evaluation and the he was then assigned to a PTA, who was very nice, but would've done absolutely nothing with my dad other than sitting in chair doing leg exercises, had I not requested she work on functional tasks performing sit to stand, walking with his walker and assessing if he could do stairs as he was independent and able to climb 14 steps prior to his recent hospitalization. Furthermore when the PTA did come she was only there for usually 30 mins max. As other people had noted in the reviews, and where I think the problems stem from, are the higher ups the branch manager and above. They did an awful job in scheduling caregivers and abysmal communication/responses when reaching out to them. Sadly this organization he really declined and I would not recommend them for any home health services.

If your loved one requires on going, nurse-level visits & does not need a full package of other unnecessary, bill padding services...... they will eventually drop the patient from care without any notice whatsoever to you or other health professionals involved (referring physician, etc).
