We've traded several cars & trucks over the years with Arshad and Geoff. I feel we've always been traded fairly. Before coming here we bought and tried to trade for 40 years from dealers all over Springfield and Taylorville. We always felt we were dealing with the stereotypical "used car salesmen". Not so with Arshad and Geoff. We feel like they treat us as friends. When we ask for a price they know we only want their best price or we go elsewhere. They make trading painless. We've dealt with the Springfield Ford dealer before. Never again. We caught the salesman leaving his cell phone on and left at our table so he could overhear us talking after he left us alone. Very high pressure salesmen and they try the add on stunts that give used car salesmen a bad name. We'll never return to Springfield Ford. So with all those good comments why the 1 star rating. It's due to their service policy. Every time they've worked on one of ours it's been done right. So why the 1 star? Simple - Wait time. And wait and wait some more. 3 trips in to get an oil change. Each time 2-3 hour wait just until they can get to it. Their oil change then takes another hour. Make an appt you think? No so. They only do appts on Saturdays. The other days of the week you just have to wait. Doesn't do any good to complain to anyone in the building. Same answer from everyone. It's Mr Ridings decision. Then do this - ask Mr Ridings if he wastes 1/2 a day sitting in a waiting room for a 20 minute oil change. Bet he wouldnt stand for even 1/2 that time. They use to take appts and service was quick. Not since they went to their "sit on your butt and wait" policy. Bob Ridings (the owner) has forgotten that it's service after the sales that sells cars. And the service that gets performed the most is an oil change. Or maybe people should do as your shop foreman suggested and take their cars to Larry's for an oil change. If they're going to do that then maybe they should take that suggestion one step further and buy their car some place else too. Remember Bob that you're not the only car dealership in town. If you want to keep the customers then listen to them. When you get to the point that you think you're the only guy who knows then you're a businessman on his way down. It's your customers who make your business.

I did not receive a response, so I have to assume they aren't interested, however I think it was incredibly rude not to respond. I'd give them no stars, but since that's not an option I'm giving them the least number of stars possible.

Matt took a look at it and was able to fix my problem in Just a couple of minutes . I saw some of the projects he was working on looks like they do excellent work! While I was there he also gave me a quote on some repairs that I needed to have done on my upholstery which seemed very reasonable and I wasn't considering having them repaired until I talked to him which now I am going to have done in the near future. If anybody needs Upholstery repair Or replacement I would highly suggest talking to Matt and getting a quote before going anywhere else I think you'll be very happy that you're did.
