My system went down the other day, I called them and was told that their roofing business had been sold and their solar was no more. Monarch roofing gave me the number of the guy who was the installer. It took a few days to contact Aaron. he said he could trouble shoot the problem for 350.00. This seemed like a lot for a year and a half old system that I thought was still under warranty. I am not from San Francisco C.A., I am from longs S.C.right next to north myrtle beach!

They came to the house after numerous meetings online (COVID) to finalize the project and check if 100% everything was fine. Everything financially was reviewed. Before starting, they took over all the communication with the HOA. Once approved by the HOA, the project was started. I now have 28 beautiful Solar Panels which cover 100% of my yearly usage. After that we could not get ahold of him at all. We'd call and leave messages and never heard back. I can only assume that the job is done correctly but I'm not sure it was worth 11000. This company didn't have the best time management.

She viewed our past bills and came up with a couple systems that would work for us. Her presentation was very informative and really explained the system as well as system expectations. We did talk with other solar companies but came back to MB Solar. Patty really put in effort to get us the system that would do the job for us. We were also provided references and we talked to a few. They really eased our mind as they were so helpful and willing to tell us their experience and expressed so much satisfaction with their system. We have only had our system a few weeks so we are still learning but we are impressed. The guys that installed our system did a great job and our system seems to be doing a great job for us as well. We are glad we opted to get 2 franklin batteries in the event of an outage which thankfully is rare where we live and for use during late evening and overnight hours. Of course we do not have our first bill using solar the whole month but it looks like solar and the franklin batteries will make a big difference in our usage and especially peak charges. The system gives us a little more peace on those really cold (and in the coming summer really hot) days where one hour of high peak usage really makes a big impact on your bill. While the proposal from Myrtle Beach Solar did include top-of-the-line technology (which is what I want), the price point was $1000 per panel more than other companies. I am usually willing to pay more for quality material and service and workmanship, but this was egregious. They claimed that was due to building in the costs of financing the project... but the *cash price* of 18 panels was *115% higher* than the *exact same panels* from two competitors. Salesman Scott has been professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of my time and preferences as a customer. However, somebody in the background of my last call from him was pushy, dismissive, and honestly outright wrong about some things. (No, the IRS doesn't let you claim a new roof as part of the solar purchase price: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/residential-clean-energy-credit#expenses -- don't let these folks sell you a new roof, too!) Do your legwork. Solar is the way of the future, but I didn't feel respected here and neither did my wallet.
