When Colin, Eric, and Russell arrived, I let them know that this wasn't just a move. It was a significant life change, and I was in a pretty fragile place mentally and emotionally. They listened with genuine understanding and compassion and assured me they'd do everything they could to make the day easier. They absolutely delivered on that promise. Colin, Eric, and Russell were the nicest, most accommodating crew I've ever worked with in any industry. They were careful, professional, incredibly communicative, and remarkably efficient, completing the entire move in hours less than anticipated. What stood out most, though, was the humanity they showed throughout the day. They treated me with kindness, patience, and respect at a time when I needed it most. What could have been one of the most overwhelming days of my life became far more manageable because of their professionalism and genuine care. Thanks to them, I was able to get settled into a new home for my 3-year-old daughter and my stubborn cat, and for that I am truly grateful. I would recommend Professional Movers, and especially Colin, Eric, and Russell, without hesitation. "Top notch" doesn't even begin to describe the experience. Thank you, sincerely, for making a difficult day so much easier.

Terrible experience. I selected them because they also did junk removal and I saw good reviews. I…read morenoted I had a "massive, heavy cabinet" to junk. I suggested in the morning we tackle that first thing and that they take the doors off. Long story short- they save it until the end, do not take the doors off, do not take the bannister off the wall, damage my walls, the cabinet is stuck at the bottom of the stairs and they wanted to be paid (cash only! another thing they didn't tell me up front) with the promise someone else would come back and move the cabinet a couple hours later. Only by withholding payment did I get the cabinet removed (they had to take the bannister off and doors to accomplish). Other furniture of mine they moved had some damage. I gave them the opportunity to fix the wall damage or make arrangements with the new buyers to have fixed and I got ghosted and stuck giving up some of my security deposit to cover. (after Justin claiming I didn't tell him how heavy my cabinet was). Completely unprofessional.

I had messaged Ty a few times with questions and he always answered quickly and friendly. Him and his partner made the move simple for us, did all the disassembly, packaging, and reassembly of furniture, and were patient with moving the furniture where we wanted it in the new house. Some of the angles in the house were wonky; but, they were able to finagle the items without a scratch. It's hard to find such nice, honest, and hardworking people nowadays and they checked all the boxes. Plus the price was very fair! They definitely worked hard from start to finish. We want to give a huge shout out to Extra Mile Movers based in Brighton! Tommy and Jaxon did an…read moreexcellent job moving my mother in law from her 3 bedroom ranch in Shelby Township to the lower level of our condo in Brighton. Despite the 95 degree heat these guys showed up on time. They walked the job first to see what they had to move which in our case was about 40 boxes and bags and about 15 pieces of furniture. They then proceeded to put down runners and shrink wrap the furniture items followed by picking up the heavy boxes and loading their truck. The total job only took them a total of 5.75 hours which included the 2.5 hour round trip drive. The final price was very reasonable since they charge by the hour. Again, this was in exhausting unbearable heat. They even moved a recliner from our first floor to the lower level at our request. These young guys were congenial and very helpful. We would definitely use them again if necessary. They are top notch. We highly recommend them if you have a move in your future.

We unfortunately have been very disappointed with our experience and, more importantly, with how…read morethe issues following our move have been handled. During the move, one of the bottom cushions from our couch went missing. Because this is a bottom seat cushion, the couch cannot be fully used without it. The company has stated that the cushion is here, but it is not. We have searched thoroughly and still have no cushion and no resolution. Our dining room table was also damaged during the move. It appears to have been overtightened during reassembly, resulting in a crack. We reported the damage, but the company maintains that the defect was already present. We disagree. We were told that a woodworker would come out to inspect the table, but we are still waiting to hear from someone to arrange that. Additionally, the movers were unable to fit all of our belongings in the moving truck and had to use one of their personal vehicles to transport some of our items, which was concerning and not what we expected from a professional moving service. Mistakes can happen during a move, and we understand that. What is most frustrating is the lack of resolution afterward. We are now left with a damaged dining table and a couch we cannot fully use because an essential cushion is missing, while being told that the table damage was pre-existing and that the missing cushion is somehow here. We would simply like the company to take responsibility for resolving these issues: locate or replace the missing couch cushion and follow through on having the table damage professionally evaluated and addressed. At this point, we are still waiting for both.
