Let me start off by saying that although we didn't end up getting our car through Central Sales, we…read morehad such a wonderful experience with them that I needed to write a review. My husband first spoke with Ray, who he felt he had an immediate connection with and easy, flowing communication about our vehicular needs. But Ray was going on vacay, and we couldn't wait until he got back to complete our car buying experience with him. Enter, Roy - Ray's bro. Roy was AWESOME. He took the time to REALLY answer my questions in a way that I could understand, and didn't try to push cars on me that were out of my price range. He was an excellent listener and ended up bringing out a car that day to our house for my hubby and me to test drive. Let me pause for a moment to say just how smart this business model is - I mean, with 2 kids under 4 years old, it's a PITA to get to a dealership and take turns test driving a car and then waiting around for hours to purchase the car while the kids go cray cray. Central Sales is part of Ron Tonkin (I think...), so they have a huge inventory of cars to pull from, which they bring to you to test drive, and then they arrange all the financing for you to find the lowest APR, and then bring the paperwork to you when they deliver the car. It takes about 10 minutes to sign everything. All for no extra fee. Brilliant. Other dealerships should take note. But what made everything so super was the truly no-pressure attitude of Roy (and I imagine everyone else he works with). He was super nice and completely understanding when I told him that we were also test-driving a car from another dealership later that day. He reiterated that he just wanted to make sure that we got into the right car for us. And I believed him! We ended up doing the whole take-the-kids-to-the-dealership-and-wait-an-excrutiatingly-long-time-to-purchase-a-vehicle thing. But only because the vehicle that was there was the one we wanted in the end. But we will DEFINITELY use Central Sales again when it's time to buy a car. Thanks Roy!

My daughter needed a car and I found one online at this place…read more We drove an hour and a half to check the car out. The salesman we had was super friendly. He found the car we were interested in and we took it for a test drive. It seemed to be perfect and decided to get it. Unfortunately, it took 3+ hours just to get through the paperwork. We negotiated the price, shook hands and signed on the X. Once he came back with the paperwork, he also came back with a mechanical disclosure. He proceeded to tell us all the problems with the car. The sway bars and bushings needed to be replaced. The water pump may have issues since thier mechanics noticed water spots around the water pump. What? We are spending over 16k for a car and NOW they disclose the problems? The salesman told us they just started doing things differently now. Well..that doesn't seem fair. We agreed on a price. I signed papers. We couldn't back out now. Rush hour was hitting and I wanted to get home ASAP. We ended up getting the car anyway and drove home. The car drove home fine. However, we have yet to fix the problems. Very disappointed with that process.

So, there was this lady out driving around on February 1, 2023, and she wasn't paying attention to my car going through the intersection and I couldn't avoid her. I'll spare you all her drama and hysterics. End result, this particularly unpleasant lady's negligence resulted in my car being totaled. After what I thought was an appropriate mourning period, I felt ready to welcome another Ford Escape back into my life. Finding right one was a tiresome process. Some didn't match their profile photo, and that was just a deal breaker. I wanted to have my dads blessing when I thought I found one I could be happy with. He inspected the profile and agreed. So yesterday afternoon we drove to Barron's Auto Sales and Details. It was pretty much love at first sight. My soon to be 2010 Ford Escape was just sitting there all golden and gleaming in the sunshine peeking through the clouds. We got the keys and me and my dad took it for a little test drive. I felt right at home sitting behind the wheel. My dead was impressed with the way it drove. We both agreed I should buy it. My finances were limited as I haven't been paid for my beloved 06. We went into the office and met Hugo Lara and discussed a price we were both happy with. I'm almost embarrassed to admit this but I've never bought a car on my own. Ive always used my own money but my dad has always been there and I'm so grateful for that. So I thought I was going into this with pre approval. Nope. So I'm also grateful for Mr. Lara for giving me a brief education on how pre approval works and his efforts to secure an auto loan for me with a reasonable monthly payment and interest rate. Thank you Hugo Lara for making a used car purchase a pleasant experience. 2023 Review-#5

Buying a used EV can come with a lot of question marks around battery health, software features, and options, but the team here was transparent, knowledgeable, and had all the vehicle specs ready to go. The moment the paperwork was signed, the communication completely disappeared. Their "We Owe" process is an absolute joke. I've been waiting weeks just to get the promised repairs scheduled. I've called multiple times, left messages, and every single time I get the same scripted response: "They'll reach out." Three different employees have told me exactly that, and not once has anyone followed through. Service Department? Comical Jered at the Portland location has repeatedly failed to return calls or messages after saying he would. If you're going to tell a customer you'll call them back, then do it. It's that simple. I own a business myself, and I know customer service doesn't end when the payment clears. It starts there. Keeping your word and communicating with customers isn't optional it's the bare minimum. The ironic part is I actually like the car I bought. My problem isn't the vehicle. It's the people running this dealership and the complete lack of accountability after the sale. I'd love to hear from the owner, although it seems the dealership is much quicker to respond to glowing reviews than to customers who are still waiting for promised work to be completed. If you're considering buying here, don't just read the five-star reviews. Read the one-, two-, and three-star reviews carefully. I wish I had. It would have saved me weeks of frustration and excuses and the headache

Gary was good and honored the first one, I don't think he is around anymore so I didn't bother coming back because it's so far away and it would just be a cheap fix (if they honored it). I never see the original people there that i am used to so I think this place might be under new management and it's deceptive. The car i traded in just about 5-6 days ago is already up for sale and i know the problems of that car is major and no way they got it all fixed in that time. I look at used car dealers the same i look at casinos, and when the odds aren't in your favor, it is time to go to a new casino. I'd like to say thanks for the great car, and the problems with the new ones, the plus to this place is they do offer cheap cars, just roll them dice and see what happens in the next couple days. The is no way they could have not known those check light issues, it was an obvious reset.

Eventually I sold the Prius (over 200k on the original battery, and going strong!). I bought a 2015 Chevrolet Volt, and got into the habit of having the Tonkin Chevrolet dealership maintain it (I recall I checked and Atomic Auto wasn't in a position to do work on it back then). But over the years, the dealership kept increasing their prices, and I just wasn't happy. So, I decided to go back to Atomic Auto. I'm glad I did. First off, I like how they have invested in simple technology/tools. They have a good system to text with you, so that you don't need to get on the phone. I love that. Their system includes photos, and detailed notes. Also, I like that they have an after-hours drop-off, *and* an after-hours pick-up. I also have found them to be honest in terms of the services. As my old Prius aged, I was getting an occasional error. They told me what was going on, and gave me a low-cost way to maintain it (spraying some mass airflow spray into the intake). It helped keep that guy on the road (heck, it's probably still driving today). Finally, I have found their services to be complete. I complained to the dealership about a super-obvious sound coming from my wheels when I turned, and the dealership said they couldn't re-create it (which seems sus, since it was super obvious and re-creatable). I didn't even mention it to Atomic, but they picked up on it during a test drive, and diagnosed it easily. I'm looking forward to keeping my Volt going for many years to come with the help of this crew.
