Harvey was starting to have guarding and reactivity issues, so we had to step-up the training. Julie at New Vistas was recommended by a friend, so we called her up for help. After discussing his issues, she provided a very thorough consultation and we opted to move forward with the month-long 'Board and Train' immersive. While we had to wait to get Harvey in, the wait was WELL WORTH IT! The training she provided for Harvey (and us each week) was invaluable. She spent many hours training him at New Vistas, and in various locations engaging with different people to work on his reactivity challenges. While training him, she also equipped us with techniques to better manage him. Julie's training style, professionalism and admiration of dogs is what really sets her apart. We trust her wholeheartedly with our dog, and couldn't recommend her training services more. Thank you Julie!!

She was also a runner and escaped every chance she got. Within a few sessions this dog had totally changed. She's bright, energetic and happy. And we can let her off leash and not worry about her bolting from us. However, more personal to me are my 4 rescue dogs. Over the summer I added a 4th dog, Tiffany, and that totally changed the dynamic of my household. After a few sessions with the group as a whole Tiffany spent the month of December boarded with Julie. This was the game changer. We honestly didn't know if Tiffany would make it past day 1 because she was so attached to me. After her daily sessions with Julie she was a new dog. She's confident to be alone, plays well with the other dogs and is the sweetest thing ever. I truly believe Julie made this happen for us and I am thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Julie to anyone looking for training for their dogs from potty training, walking loosely on leash, stay commands, come, fearfulness, you name it and she does it. You won't be disappointed!!! And your dogs will be so much happier after working with her.

We are very grateful for all his help and that he is always available if we have any we questions!

With our very first session John really helped us with our 9-month old puppy's potty problems…read more We had trained our puppy on pee pads but as he got older he saw rugs and bedding as giant pee pads. He would rush to his pee pads after walks to pee rather than go outside. And he had lots of accidents in the house. At 9 months old, it seems unkind to revert to keeping our puppy in a crate all the time until he was properly trained so it was hard to know what to do. John provided lots of helpful alternatives that would keep our puppy "confined" but near us without resorting to the crate all the time. The two benefits to this approach are - 1. since we are emotionally comfortable with this loving approach, we (including my children) can actually follow through and 2. it's working! I know it will probably be a longer road since our puppy has already developed bad habits but it's great to see him actually going to the bathroom outside. In the first day alone our puppy started going to the bathroom outside instead of on his pee pads. I appreciate how John was creative in helping us come up with solutions that worked for us and our approach to our puppy (our puppy is already an integrated member of our family so we weren't comfortable putting him in a crate or confining him away from us outside for long periods). We have more sessions scheduled with John to work on basic commands.

But Romeo, even though he is only 8 months old, is friendly, loving, and manageable with me, but overwhelming with company. So, when I realized I was dreading having company, it was then I knew I needed help, ok, I was almost desperate so here we are...LOL Here is what I love about Candice's system: First off, she comes to your home to evaluate the whole situation. She did not rush me; she took her time. This is big because, in the end, our dogs have to come back and live with us. Candice keeps in contact with you during the 2-week process. Being from Belton, Texas/Central Texas, she is very close to me. She made home visits during the training, bringing him to me so we could work together with his new skills, too. There are children at her home, so he was socialized with children, which is critical in having a family dog. I love that she took him to public destinations, too. Especially since we are working on him being my medical service dog as well. I am very happy with the results. I see a huge difference in his overall behavior, and so do all of the victims of his overwhelming affection prior to the training. Something else, not only does she know her business, but I enjoy working with her. Candice is very personable and warm. I really like her as a person, too, not a need but a great added bonus. Because I purchased the 2 week boarded training, I get unlimited private lessons. Bonus for sure, because no matter how well-trained our puppies are, we can have slips here and there. Lastly, she delivered him sparkling clean and deshedded... another HUGE bonus for me.

We had our dogs in the car, so we quickly needed a safe place we trust to keep our dogs. Based upon Yelp reviews, plus the advice of a local business owner, we chose Barking Oaks. Our dogs were understandably nervous and confused, and we were also emotional, but the staff here put us all at ease. They kept all three dogs in an area by themselves and worked to ensure they were comfortable while we waited for more family to arrive and take them safely home. It was a stressful situation, but BO made a tremendous difference. Thank you. Incidentally, my father is doing well, and we were back on the road the next day. Thanks again.

I had so much trouble finding a sitter, I contacted two other places and one NEVER returned my call and the other couldn't come on to Fort Hood...luckily, however, the 2nd person I contact recommended me to Daniela. First of all, the website for EaseMyMind is fantastic. It has a customer portal that you can create an account on and enter all the details about your furbabies and it has online scheduling so you can easily schedule and manage everything right from there. But, on top of that, Daniela has no issue communicating via text on top of that. I scheduled my free meet & greet with and she stayed for I think about an hour getting to know my pups, seeing where they sleep, where all of their food and things are, how they react to strangers and what all of their little quirks are.She brought all the paperwork with her and explained everything to me and told me I could text her whenever I needed to with questions or concerns. After everything was officially scheduled and I dropped off my key to her, the payment process was super easy too as she has an online payment system that you can use. I also love that there is only one fee for the visit and no surcharge for having multiple pets in one household (we have 3 dogs so that could be pricey!). On the day of my day trip out of town, I text Daniela to let her know when we actually left so she could make sure the first sitter visit wasn't too early or too late. A few hours later I received a pet journal notification in my e-mail with an entry from the pet sitter telling me what was done on the visit and how the dogs were doing as well as pictures of all of them. It was super easy to view everything from my phone and it was reassuring that all my dogs were happy and that there were no complications. Later on in the day, I logged in to my account and realized I made a mistake on some of the notes I left for the sitter. On my account, I asked the sitter to feed them dinner at the 2nd visit but on a note I left on their food I said to feed at the last visit. Luckily I caught that mistake at the same time as the sitter and they were able to get the correct information from me so the pups could be fed at the correct time. What made it so easy is that Daniela was easily available via text so we could get eveything sorted out quickly. For the rest of the day I got my updates and when I go home that night my furbabies seemed much less stressed over me being gone for 12 hours+ hours and I came home to find that my sitter had even washed their food bowls, which was so nice! :) Needless to say, I'll continue to use EaseMyMind in the future.

Both my dogs have never been kenneled, and one is a rescue who had separation anxiety issues when I adopted her a year ago. These issues have greatly reduced over time, but I was still worried about using a kennel or leaving her for more than 6 hours at a time. EaseMyMind was very thorough in their intake interview and I greatly appreciated the text updates three times a day. I think the photos, QR codes, and written logs give clients piece of mind while they are away. I am very happy with how my dogs were cared for while I was on vacation and hope to use them in the future! I used a doggie daycare service with sad results, so I am very happy to have found a way to keep my dogs at home in a safe and familiar environment.
