I'll never go here again and highly suggest that whoever's reading this takes their business and hard learned money elsewhere. I don't get my nails done often but when I do I always go here and I usually have an experience that I can forget about the next day; nothing life changing but also nothing dramatic or upsetting. Today changed that. The woman who did my nails was very rude, judgmental, awful at customer service, and seemed uninterested in making the experience remotely comfortable for me. She just seemed irritated for no reason right off the bat. She spoke to me so disrespectfully and accused me of messing up my nails. Mind you this was while she was in a stage where the flaw was easily correctable and she said "you messed your nail up" with a attitude as if I'd purposely ruined my nails during the transition from the pedicure chair to the manicure bench. I don't care WHO messed up the nail, at the end of the day it's her job to fix it as I am a paying customer regardless. I responded with a shrug "I don't know." And she snaps at me "No I'm telling you that YOU messed it up". Just incredibly rude and nasty and unprovoked. I am a very calm and unconfrontational person. I never expressed an ounce of discontent at the flaw because I KNEW it could be fixed. She should not have been so upset over such a small thing. I was genuinely baffled at her attitude towards me. Later on she proceeds to look at me and go "You don't get your nails done very often do you?...I can tell". Disrespectful. I got a blue cats eye and she never even asked me what shade of blue I wanted, just went in with whatever shade of blue she picked out before I could even stop her. And the nails came out very crooked. See attached...ridiculous. Overall my experience with most the workers here in the past was neutral to positive. She was clearly the problem. If you go here, don't let the black woman near your nails unless you're okay being talked to crazy or you're getting a style too basic for her to mess up. (Also this is not about race, I'm simply describing the one feature of hers that distinguishes her from the other staff members. I am also a black woman. I wanted to like/ support her so bad at first as it was my first time seeing a black woman working in an Asian owned nail salon. So once again, this review is not targeted)

I was amazed at the beautiful upgrades and remodeling done to this nail spa. It gives a chic, modern bright clean atmosphere.. I was greeted warmly when I walked through the door and I was assisted promptly and set up for my pedicure and full set. Everything was clean and sterilize. I love my nails. I felt relaxed. I didn't but I knew the Kroger shopping center has been here for at least 30+ years and almost every Kroger shopping center has a nail shop somewhere within the development. We entered about 2pm on a Friday afternoon and it was pleasantly not full of people and there was no wait. She got her nails done and I decided to get a pedicure since I haven't had one in a while. The lady that did my pedicure was so friendly and funny. This location is a good 40+ minutes from my home if the traffic is on my side and I'd happily come back for another pedicure when needed. Great service, clean and pricing was just what I expected for a basic pedicure.

Full sets and pedis for my 17 YO and me then a mani/pedi for my 10 year old. To my surprise at checkout, the manager insists on charging my child the adult price because of her height. My 10 year old daughter is 5'9 therefore the manager concluded she should be charged as an adult because her height makes her nail beds different... . Should have been my last visit but I know not to bring her here. Visit #2: My 17 YO and I for a full set, fill and pedis $312. Requested a basic with gel pedi but they proceeded with the more expensive package. My fault for looking at the phone and not overseeing the service. Visit #3: One week after Visit 2, I come in for a polish change on gel and a French tip on two nails. Told the design change would be $65 but if I were to get a fill in and the same design, there would only be a $10 difference. Make that make sense. See attached for design requested. Really used to love this place when Andy was there but since, staff turnover is high and I blame the new management. Sad to say I'll be looking for a new salon.

Coming back to my home state, I found out that the acrylic she put on was MMA! It wasn't even acrylic. My nails are falling out, MMA IS ILLEGAL. I am definitely suing this lady. I have pictures and the statements of my certified nail technician from my state. SHE CHARGED 70 dlls for this design that wasn't even what I wanted. She filled extremely roughy my nails and it hurt me really bad. The tiny little room at the left of the salon (where she works at) smells so strong. The lady who took off my nails told me that that's exactly what MMA smells and needs to be worked like.
