A good community center offers varied opportunities for its residents of all ages. A shining example of a great community center is the Pinecrest Community Center across from Pine Crest Library. I was able to check out the Pinecrest Community center during the Pinecrest Farmers Market. Overflow parking for the market is behind the community center and library. The Pinecrest Community Center offers many free and low cost programs for all residents. These include personal enrichment programs, social activities, creative activities, active recreation, STEAM, arts, health, camps, and fitness programs. The community center gym is a popular destination for fitness enthusiasts. There is cardio and strength training equipment, stretch zone, locker rooms with showers, and personal trainers and fitness classes. The community center also has an indoor play zone for children and families and spaces that can be rented for private events. Outside the center is a shade covered playground and paved walkways for exercise. There is also a cafe called Elia Pinecrest that anyone can visit for dine in and take out. You can register for classes and upcoming events online and follow the community center on social media for event news. There are volunteer opportunities too. If you want to be active, make friends, and learn new things, the Pinecrest Community Center has just the right program for all ages. It kind of makes me wish I lived in Pinecrest.

You can actually see the peacocks at Pinecrest Gardens from there. The community center also has a gym, the Pinecrest public library, and a restaurant called Elia. We went to get more information on the theater classes they offer and besides the fact that I was lost, they are remodeling the place so lots of entrances or exits were closed. But the nice people working there guided us to get to our final destination, where we spoke with the theater director who also was Extremely nice and helpful. This place offer maaaaaany activities and memberships. For more info check out their website or call because they are nice and will help you. Thank you! Gracias!

A great place to work out, to grab a tasty bite, and to make a new friend!…read more The Alper JCC is warm and welcoming, and is a community place for all people, regardless of religion. The museum always has an interesting exhibit (right now it's about Board Games and is geared for children age 3-10) and the shows in the theater are top-notch. JCC summer camp is a great time for all kids, offering swim lessons 5 days a week and lots of other fun sports and activities as well. And don't forget the gym! The classes are great; try Zach's Pilates/Sculpt or Spinning classes and the gym and the machines are always clean, well-maintained and nice to use to work out. Stop at Moshe's Nosh Bar after your workout for a smoothie or a light lunch. You won't be disappointed and if you're friendly, you'll almost always make a new friend while eating!

I paid $6,000 for maternity care and only attended three appointments before deciding to transfer to another provider. After leaving, I requested a refund minus the cost of the care I actually received, which I felt was a reasonable request. Initially, I was offered only a $1,000 refund, which I did not feel reflected the limited services that were provided. After nearly two years of back-and-forth communication trying to resolve the situation, Galina eventually agreed to refund $3,000. However, despite that agreement, the refund was never actually provided. Over the course of this process I repeatedly followed up politely by email asking for updates or a timeline, but the situation was never resolved. Meanwhile, I had to seek care elsewhere and even pay out of pocket for emergency care through another provider. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating. I paid $6,000 and after months of trying to resolve things respectfully, I was left without the agreed refund and with very little care provided.
