This guy was fast and I was not in nearly as much pain afterwards. Also he was not stingy with the laughing gas. Hallelujah for that. Also I was in a lot of pain and his staff was able to work me in on the same day that I called. I did have a hard time finding his office. It is on the second floor and I had to go up the elevator to get to it. Once I went up the elevator that was by the urgent care I was able to find it just fine. His office contacted my insurance before I went in so I knew what my cost would be. My dentist will do the crown. My dentist was the one who referred me. He said that for molars an endodontist was better than a dentist because the spaces are smaller and harder to clean out. Now that I have been to o e I will just go to him for any other root canal I need (which I hopefully none). It was just so much easier and less painful than when I had a dentist do it and it cost me the same as when my dentist did it.

After going to him I would never go anywhere else. His office is unassuming and very simple and so are his procedures. He's in and out before you know it and its honestly the fastest and least horrible experience you could ask for (as far as root canals go). I was given an x-ray, he decided the ridges on my two crowns were giving me the pain due to being to high. So he proceeded to drill (shave down the ridges on my crowns). The two teeth that were giving me the pain, without a Novocain shot. His grip slipped on my cheek and he tore up the inside of my cheek with the drill. Talk about poking an angry bear.... So after being traumatized in the chair he sent me home without antibiotics, in excruciating pain and misdiagnosed. I did make it to my dentist on Monday, both of my teeth were abscessed, I needed an antibiotic. I have never experienced pain on this level, truly. This office is outdated, the equipment was new 25 years ago. I don't recommend his incompetent service's to anyone.

He is bar none the BEST dentist I have ever known in my 63 years of life, Plain and simple--He cares about details, he has 40 years of skilled experience, he loves his work and his patients and is very attentive to your comfort! PLUS he is super funny while he's doing it! I have had soooo many dentists in my life and I know by sad experience that the right dentist matters a WHOLE lot! If you don't have a dentist who cares about you and is skilled about the tiny details and will take unhurried time with you, versus rushing around from one patient to the next in other exam rooms, trying to get you in and out as soon as possible --you will end up going back and incurring many more expensive issues down the line. The same kind of care and skill goes for his medical assistant Korina! She is super fast, efficient and knows and does so much more than the regular assistant. For example, I've never had x-rays not pinch with that bite thingy, but she knew EXACTLY where to put it, so it was painless! PLUS if you happen to get the privilege of having his wife, Lucy as your hygienist, she is equally as good and will take the time care and skill to keep your preventive dental care at it's best! What a DYNAMIC team! I can't say enough about them. You will not find a better dentist, dental assistant or hygienist in Dr. Zafiratos, Korina and Lucy Zafiratos....period!

I told them my issues and troubles with my teeth, including how hard it is for me to actually see a dentist mostly because of the embarrassing condition they are in (which obviously means I need a lot of work done). Were assumptions made based upon the condition of my teeth? Am I not the kind of patient they want or think I am? This is a sensitive issue for me and reaching out was difficult. I am self employed and my wife made me an appointment for their "first thing in the morning…read moreappointment" of 7:30 only to sit in the waiting room for almost an hour before they even got started on me. Because of the delay I ended up having to reschedule my appointments for the rest of the day. Then they did some work on my wifes tooth and she was in pain for weeks afterward and even after multiple calls to the office the issue was not addressed. Then I get the bill and the charges are almost double what my insurance says my maximum payment should be on the services. After multiple voicemails left and no return calls I finally get a hold of someone who tells me they bill my insurance as a courtesy and they can basically charge whatever they want and I have to pay whatever it is they bill me. This is the least professional medical office I have ever dealt with. I am still trying to sort out the billing issues. If they step up and actually straighten this out I will note my review.
