I had a great first experience here! There are a lot of offices in this building, and a lot of doors, and I ended up parking on the wrong side. So for any other first-timers who don't want to walk all the way around the building, Smith Family Dental is on the south side of the building. Everyone I interacted with here was cheerful and friendly. I really appreciated Dr. Morgan taking the time to meet with me prior to my cleaning to introduce himself and check on my history. I also enjoyed being able to watch TV with headphones on during the polishing/cleaning. It was a nice alternative to trying to hold a conversation with dental tools in my mouth. The water sprayer sprays out WARM water! They are in a new modern building with updated equipment and I can't explain how much better it is to get my sensitive teeth cleaned with not cold water. The staff is good and the dentist is great - kind and patient and helpful for someone like me who has had a lot of dental work and therefor has a lot of dental anxiety. I decided to switch dentists to one which is much closer to my work and home and I was recommended to visit Dr. Morgan at Smith Family Dental.. I cannot recommend these guys enough. One of the best decisions I've made for myself in a long time. Dr. Morgan and his staff have completely sponged away any remaining fears I have of visiting the dentist. So far I have had a cleaning, a root canal, and received a crown from Dr. Morgan and I am convinced he is the best dentist on the planet. Why is Dr. Morgan the best? The reasons are numerous. I could mention his friendly, welcoming, and humble demeanor and his endless, cheerful wit. Or the ease in which he is able to make you always feel like his number one patient. Or I could prattle on about the cleanliness and beauty of their office and the numerous themed examination rooms they have. (My favorite so far is the Walt Disney room) It's also worth mentioning each room has an overhead TV and headphones. It's nice to have the option to watch Maury Povich, Pawnstars, or the People's Court while on nitrous to really make the time pass by. I could give some Kudos to Dr. Morgan's painless numbing injections. Or glow about his highly capable and lovely staff who always make me feel welcome. Or maybe it's the little, but profound, touches such as the personalized follow up call Dr. Morgan himself will make at the end of the day to insure that you are free of pain and discomfort. Then there's the bag of samples, floss, and other goodies they send you home with. And their flexibility to get you in immediately if you are experiencing tooth pain. The list goes on and on. Either way I cannot imagine myself ever moving on to another dentist. These guys are the complete package. Dr. Morgan is a stud. And I am a very happy and ecstatic customer for life. read more

I was referred here by another doctor and at first, like the other reviewer on here described, I was impressed by the atmosphere of the office. But after my entire family was ripped off by Smith Family Dental, I realized just how they could afford to decorate their office so lavishly. On my first visit they said my previous dentist hadn't done any of my fillings properly and they would have to pull them out and fix them. My first visit, they did a root canal on a front tooth, and a small filling on another. Two months later, and that front tooth is half clear, half yellow. Lovely. I understand that teeth with root canals can become discolored, but the tooth that had the "minor filling" on it also turned brown. I came back for more work a month later (before realizing they had messed up my two other teeth) for a filling on a molar. It was very painful for just a filling, and during the procedure I heard Dr. Smith Senior say "oops." Not the kind of thing you want to hear from your doctor. Two days later, that filling, along with part of my actual molar, fell OUT. I was in excruciating pain. They "repaired" it, and it fell out again a week later. I went to another dentist that specializes in molars, and he determined that Dr. Smith being rough on that simple filling messed up my tooth and inflamed the nerve, so I had to have a root canal on it (which the specialist performed with no problem). I stopped seeing him after this, but my family had also checked him out before my problems arose and he gave them the exact same tall tale when they came in, that their previous dentist hadn't done their fillings right and he would remove them and do them over (for a large fee, of course). They ended up conning us out of $4,000 before we got out of there. And they didn't file things right with the insurance, so that took another several months to resolve. This place is fraudulent. They will damage your teeth! A good dentist doesn't need cable TV in the ceiling (porn channels included) and themed "dental suites"--he can rest on his good skills. read more

Smith Family Dental has been there for me for the last 25 years. They have handled everything from my annual cleanings to orthodontia, and wisdom tooth extraction. Their staff is very friendly, and they really personalize the experience. My last visit particularly really stood out. Their Hygienist Lauren did an excellent and thorough cleaning. Dr. Morgan was able to take care of a small concern right on the spot. They truly have built a relationship to last a lifetime. I would not consider going anywhere else. Bravo! read more

The first thing I noticed about his dental office (besides the beautiful decor) was the friendly and welcoming greeting I received as I approached the front desk. Yes, I was on time but they were waiting for me as if they had treated me before and already knew me. This is the nicest group of people I have been acquainted with in a long time. The dental suites are amazing, each one decorated with a different theme and each has a ceiling television with headphones to entertain you during the procedures. The equipment is state of the art and both Dr.s Smith (father and son) talk to you about the procedures and dental treatment plan and allow you to feel engaged in your treatment. I had no pain and my comfort was the ultimate concern. The staff is fabulous, professional, personable and kind. You are not treated like a number here. This team has worked together for a long time and it shows. I would recommend this dental office to anyone. What a great place for your kids to have their primary dental experience (they have a Disney room) and to insure they will have no future fear of a dental office! Smith's Family Dental is a family and it is apparent they include their clients in that as well. read more

Vindication!! I just got back from a different dentist with no cavities. 6 months ago I went to Smith family dental and after a thorough examination by what seemed like a very capable dental assistant who said I had no cavities, Old Mr. Smith, now retired I believe, came in and said, "Oh, but look here. Here is a cavity." But, the dental assistant and hygienist there acted just a little strange about it, and because the whole atmosphere had seemed very high pressure and weird the couple of times I'd been before, after a little bit of thought I canceled my appointment to get it filled the following day. I thought if there was actually a cavity then it would be there in 6 months when I went back to the dentist, but I thought I was being lied to and turns out I was. If I am thinking of the right guy, the son who took over is over the top high pressure sales. I've never experienced that with a dentist before. They are trying to sell you procedures. It feels like they have sales meetings at the beginning of the day and quotas to meet or something. Just a super weird approach to dentistry. Beware! Don't trust them there. I love this dental office. The staff here is so friendly and nice. I have severe dental phobia, and after searching for years for a dentist I could trust, I came here. My dentist has helped me feel as comfortable as possible. Each of their rooms has a theme, ranging from the ocean, to outdoors adventures. They have TVs on the ceiling and constantly check in to make sure you are OK during your procedures. I have gone from needing Valium and laughing gas for every visit, to not needing anything at all anymore. I am so grateful that I have found a dentist that makes me feel comfortable and safe. They have an awesome accounting department who communicates thoroughly with me so there is never any confusion as to what I might be paying. Dr. Smith calls his patients after every procedure to check in on you. And they get you in for emergency work quickly. I would definitely refer them to anyone looking for dental work. read more

Overcharged compared to my previous dentist. Was told I needed procedures when I did not.

I would not recommend them. I went in for a checkup and I was told I had 11 cavities. I've haven't had more than 4 my whole life. After he removed too much material on one of my teeth I had pain/multiple visits for 5 months. He never explains costs up front. He decided to replace my old fillings with the newer white ceramic? filling without even asking me. The next thing I know, he's just doing it! Don't go here. read more
