Super competent, professional and personable. Cannot recommend Dr. Watson and team enough

Dr. Watson is incapable and reckless. By far the most unprofessional and shamelessly incompetent medical professional I've ever interacted with. He has actively caused more issues with my teeth in the ~18 months since the first time I saw him than I've had in the first 33 years of my life combined. THREE of Dr. Watson's "permanent" crowns have cracked/broken and come off in the past ~18 months. My temporary crown (from a far more competent dentist in San Francisco) lasted 4 years before I moved to Salt Lake City and started seeing Dr. Watson, but somehow Dr. Watson's "permanent" crowns have only lasted 3-6 months each before breaking. Also, while Dr. Watson started installing the second crown, it didn't fit perfectly because it wasn't seated right, but instead of trying to get it to fit properly, he started shaving down the teeth around it ... that wasn't required for the installation of the temporary crown nor was it required for the other times Dr. Watson installed (attempted to fix) the same crown. So instead of actually completing the work the right way without negatively impacting the teeth around the crowned one, Dr. Watson employed a lazy and irresponsible "solution" by actively eroding the perfectly healthy adjacent teeth that were not problematic for the other crowns I had installed. Dr. Watson also aggressively pushed $600 teeth whitening on me that wasn't covered by insurance, and wasn't needed or wanted by me. Not only that, but he said "if it doesn't work" then he'd do another procedure to core out and fill the small fluoride stains on my front teeth. Mind you, I never had a problem with the color of my teeth or my fluoride stains in the first place, but regardless, Dr. Watson pushed expensive out of pocket whitening procedure that he wasn't even sure would work, and wanted to core out my teeth and compromise the structural integrity if it didn't. I found a new dentist to fix my crown (after 3 of Dr. Watson's broke in 18 months), and he was so appalled by Dr. Watson's quality of work that he implored me to report Dr. Watson to the dental board. His exact words were "I don't even see work this poor from dental students practicing for their first time on models of teeth. This person should not be allowed to practice." Run, don't walk, to any other dentist you can find. read more

This dentist did Veneers on all front teeth. they would not stay on. I could not use my front teeth and had repeated visits to rebond them to my teeth. two months after paying for Dr Watson to do the work, I am now having them replaced by another Dentist At my cost. I do not recommend this dentist. read more

I'm never going anywhere else. I went in for an emergency tooth issue and it was taken care of in less than 30 minutes. Everyone, the hygienists, assistants and receptionists, at Dr. Watson's is a DREAM. I've been twice since then and every time has been the same great experience. Dr. Watson is so knowledgeable and amazing at what he does. If you're in need of a new dentist don't waste your time looking around because this is the place to go. read more

The nicest staff I've ever experienced at a dental office. They truly care about their patients. I'm not a fan of the work they do. I mean they drill on you, stab you with needles to numb your mouth, and the polish for cleanings will always taste awful, but they are amazing at what they do. When you say you hate the dentist you'll look differently at it if you become a patient here. You may still hate the dentist visit, but you will love the dentist and his staff. Even without insurance they take care of me and I go in for my visits whenever I can, which means I really like these people. I would highly recommend this office, I've even gotten my boyfriend to go to the dentist a couple times since he's moved here from California and he hadn't seen a dentist for over a decade. You will not be disappointed with the care you receive. read more

After being patient of somebody else for 17 years I had a really difficult time finding a new dentist. When I began my search, two years ago. I had no luck. No dentist would take me because I was considered a "complicated case" with my bridge. Last October I was in car accident and my bridge shifted and due to those complications yesterday my bridge broke and I didn't have a dentist. I was so devastated. I called a friend and she had recommend Dr. Watson. I then called his emergency line, even though I wasn't an existing patient. He answered the phone and gave me his first available appointment! Last night I wasn't able to sleep all night because something what I put so much money in was broken. All in tears I entered his office this morning with my worst fear being that he will be one of 12 dentist who told me that he cannot take me as a patient. As soon as I entered the office doors this morning a feeling of comfort came over me. Gabby (the front desk assistant) was so welcoming and kind to me, I felt right at home. His assistant then came and got me, she was very kind and sweet as well. My panic of him not being able to help me then came back, I was crying so hard I couldn't talk, and that is when Dr. Watson walked in. He came and and shared some very kind and comforting words with me, he told me we would go through this together and that he would help me no matter what the circumstances and that I had no reason to be afraid. I couldn't believe how sincere he was to me. He told me he was going to help me no matter what, he told me he didn't care how hard the complications, he was there to make me better. He then fixed my bridge as a temporary, while we are now going step by step to make a full recovery and planning me a new bridge. read more

I've really enjoyed going to Dr. Watson. He does care about his patients. His office staff is great. Gabby, his office manager is wonderful. She has your copay pretty accurate. I've been to several different Dentists in my life. I really enjoy Dr. Watson. Glad I started going to his office for my dental issues. read more

Dr. Michael Watson is a great dentist!! I'm always nervous about my dental appointment's and can be quite the cry baby. Dr. Watson and his staff make sure that I understand what procedures I need and makes me feel very comfortable during my visits. Dr. Watson and his team are incredible. Just a few things that I appreciated: Gabriella, who works at the front desk, went far and beyond for me. She called my insurance when I had questions, and always responded to my emails quickly. I have never received that much assistance at any other medical office. I noticed the team was very conscious about how comfortable I was, and explained everything to me. But the number one thing that I appreciated, was Dr. Watson and his staff were very honest and truly wanted to provide a fantastic experience for me. Dr. Watson and his staff are very professional, friendly and efficient. I have always had a hard time getting numb at the dentist. Dr. Watson was especially good at making making me numb in exactly the right spot! I was so happy. Dr. Watson and his staff also do a really good job of clearly communicating what's going on with your teeth and your insurance, etc. I couldn't be more pleased. Was a first time customer. I couldn't make my appointment so they charged me $60 for the missed appointment. no compromises were made, they have hounded me for money like some sort of tooth collection agency. I Won't be returning. read more
