Dr. Davis and his staff did a great job for me and my daughter. We have found the family dentist for both of our families.

Clientele literally travel from around the world for a smile re-design at Arete Design Center, but…read moreall you must do is drive to Woods Cross. This is the type of facility that one would expect to find in a major city. Miraculously, these world-class professionals practice in Utah. After 2 years of orthodontia with another facility to correct my bite pattern, I was left with diastemas (gaps between teeth) that needed considerable cosmetic intervention. To say it was a disappointing end to a long, painful process is an understatement. I learned about Arete after reaching out for recommendations to an out of state family member who practices dentistry. He told me he had been training with the professionals at Arete to state-of-the-art, minimally invasive cosmetic techniques using a composite material that preserves the integrity of the tooth - and that they were located minutes away in Woods Cross. The process that followed was a convenient online intake where I submitted photos and goals for treatment outcomes. Within the week, I had a virtual consultation. A few days later, I was meeting with my provider, Dr. Jordan Davis to review a digital proposal for my new smile that was designed to create balance and complement the structure of my face. This is equal parts science and art. In addition to being an owner, Dr. Davis is an implant surgeon, an artist, and an absolute perfectionist. This is exactly what you want to hear when planning a cosmetic procedure, but he also demonstrated it in every step of the process. When I tell you the level of perfection that I asked for throughout the process, I'm not exaggerating. I think any other provider would have eventually dismissed my concerns or referred me to another dentist out of exasperation. But Dr. Davis was totally undeterred. He leaned in and re-worked to my exacting specifications until I was absolutely and completely satisfied with no feedback left to give. To reach our collective goal and accommodate our demanding schedules, he and dental hygienist Daisy were willing to meet with me at hours unheard of for a dental office. The result was nothing short of absolute and total perfection. The owners/associates who work with Dr. Davis are equally obsessed with perfection. This includes the office manager, front office staff, the dental hygienists, x ray techs, and the other two dentists specializing in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. The office reflects this same perfection in aesthetics, design, function, and technology. Despite all this perfection, this group of associates is genuinely warm, friendly, and down to earth. There is no ego here, and you are treated like an old friend every time you walk through the door. You might also be wondering about how all this world-class talent and technology affect your bottom line. I have never had to follow up on an insurance claim or chase an explanation of charges. Fees for services have always been provided clearly. My smile re-design at Arete was a fraction of what I was quoted by the cosmetic dentist I had been referred to by my orthodontist in Park City, with far more natural looking results. The office manager, Janet, will call you personally to schedule appointments when time opens up and will provide you with an estimate on services beforehand so you know what to expect. I receive reminder notifications a few days ahead of time and the day of my appointment to ensure I'm properly maintaining my smile with cleanings. Since my smile re-design, I've been working with Dr. Carlisle, yet another perfectionist, to create a strategic plan for addressing some other dental issues I've ignored for too long. If ever I leave the area, I'll be traveling long distances for dental services here. If perfection is what you're looking for, you've found it with Arete.

I traveled from Southern California to have my smile makeover completed by the best of the best. Everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. I was fighting back tears after the reveal of my new smile. Dr. Davis is a true artist who took all factors into account when designing my plan. The office provided every possible amenity to make me as comfortable as possible, despite the severe dental anxiety I have experienced my entire life. I cannot recommend this doctor and this office enough. Thank you so much Dr. Jordan and the fabulous people at Areté!!

First cleaning appointment was great. But every encounter after has been awful…read more Today (1/3/22) I call in to get some info and to try another treatment for an issue I have been having. Trying to exhaust all avenues before we do more drastic work. The receptionist was ok at first then proceeded to tell me how she is now going to run my healthcare. Ummm no. She was rude, condescending, and she HUNG UP ON ME when I tried to get her to stop talking and trying to take control of the situation. I just wanted to see about getting some antibiotics. She said to me "it doesn't matter. You can't choose to have this or that done" Yes, yes I can. It's my body, mouth, and healthcare. Not yours. I also had 2 fillings done. The person who "specializes" in giving the shots didn't know what she was doing and then everyone tried to blame it on me being tense. I am sorry. She had no clue how to do her job with out causing excruciating pain. I tried to let the Dr fix things. He was nice enough to get me in and take an X-ray and see what's going on. But after today. I never will recommend this place.

I'm sorry for the long review, but my story took place over several months so there is a lot that…read morehappened- I was referred to OMS by my general dentist for an infected root that needed to be extracted and replaced with an implant. I had a consultation with Dr Hall and decided to proceed. He said I would have to pay $4500.00 prior to my first (of 3) surgeries. The total amount I was "quoted" was several thousands of dollars more, but he said they would cap it at $4500.00 (and write off the rest?). I paid the required payment before my first surgery (Extraction/bone graft). After extraction, I had more pain in my mouth so a second cone beam was taken and Dr Hall found that a part of my root was missed and I would need an additional surgery to have it removed. I understand that I have complicated roots and that mistakes can happen, so we proceeded with the second surgery. (My husband had to take an extra day off of work to drive me home from the surgery costing us even more money) The surgery was successful, and my bone graft took beautifully. After I was all healed up, I went in to schedule my surgery to place the implant, but I addressed some concerns with the typical titanium implant, because between the 1st surgery in August and the 3rd surgery in March, I was diagnosed with a syndrome that can be activated by metal in my mouth (MCAS-which causes my airway to close and full body hives) and we (Dr Hall and I) decided that we should avoid titanium (or any metal) in my mouth. He said that Zirconia implants would be a better option for me and that he would call his two preferred implant companies (Nobel and Straumann) to make sure he could get a metal free implant. A few days later, he called me and said that he couldn't get me the needed implant, because of the war in Ukraine, where the zirconium (the product that makes zirconia) is mined. He then told me that he ordered a titanium allergy test kit that I could take to an allergist to test if I'm really allergic to titanium. I explained that my issue with titanium isn't an allergy, but a Cell reaction and that I wasn't willing to pay an allergist several hundred dollars to tell me I'm not allergic, when I already know it wont work for me. A few days later I spoke to my friend (that referred me to OMS) who works at a dental office and she said there were probably other options we could explore that were metal free that could work for me. She called her reps, to do some research for me and found some options. I called Dr Hall and he was instantly offended that I would ask someone else's advice on what to do (even though he refused to help me further). I asked him to call my friend and maybe the two of them could figure out how to help me get what I need. He was rude to my friend, and basically said to me if she can get what you need, just go back to her. I told him that I chose to go to his office because I needed a specialist, and would love to figure this out together, but if he wasn't willing to help me anymore, I guess I didn't really have a choice. I asked if I could get some of my money back to help me pay for the implant I needed, and he said he would have his financial lady call me. She called me a few minutes later and said I could only get a refund of $1500.00 of the $4500.00 back. She said $3000.00 is what I would have paid for a tooth extraction and bone graft, and there was nothing else they can do for me. It took 3 weeks to get my "partial refund." I called around to several oral surgery offices in northern Utah asking what an extraction with a bone graft would cost and the highest I found was $1600.00. I feel like Dr Hall took advantage of me because he wasn't willing to think outside of the box, and that I'm owed an additional $1500 dollars. The craziest part of this story, is that the brand of implant that his office carries (Nobel) really does have a metal free implant available, he just wasn't willing to do a little more research to make it happen for me. On a positive note, my bone graft did take, so I'll be able to get my implant elsewhere, and Dr Hall's assistant Sydney is top notch.
