I had asked for extra onions, which I meant extra yellow onions, but was given green onions. It was no big deal, just make sure you specify. I didn't even think about it when I asked. I had to giggle when I got my food and saw them. It was to many green onions to eat, and they were big... Lol. They have seating to dine in and I think one table outside. There's also a condiment section that has teriyaki, kalbi, and katsu sauces you can fix yourself. I think it's great that they offer that. The fried rice was good and the Mac salad complimented the rice really well. It was hot and fresh when I opened it. I enjoyed my meal. I grew up on the island of Oahu, so I miss plate lunches. When I have a craving I come here. They have BBQ chicken, manapua, beef, and loco mocos and etc on the Hawaiian side, then they have pad thai and different noodle and rice dishes on the Thai side. The food is decent. Check them out!!

And if that wasn't enough the manager (who I think may be the owner?) is such a kind man who always makes me feel welcome whether I'm doing takeout or dining in. Once we were gifted free ice cream bars on a hot day because he saw we'd walked to the restaurant. And the another time I was doing takeout and he'd forgotten to add the extra side of coleslaw, we don't realize it until we were home and so didn't go back. we're regulars here so he must've known he'd see us again and to my surprise the next time we ordered (weeks later) he still remembered and gave us a free side of coleslaw! It's the kind of service that only comes from small businesses like this one. So if you like Hawaiian BBQ PLEASE come support and try this place out!

We went and got checked in at our hotel and placed an order through Grubhub for delivery. The wait time for delivery was about 30 minutes which wasn't too bad. Our food arrived and we couldn't wait to dig in. The first disappointment we found was that our egg was very undercooked. The white of the egg had a "snotty" look to it. We took the most undercooked parts of the egg off and then dug in. The second disappointment for us was that the rice tasted and felt like it had been sitting uncovered all day. Granted, it was around 8:30 when we ordered but I still expect to get fresh ingredients. The burger patties were not very well seasoned but were overall decent. The macaroni salad was really good and wish I had double portions of it. The coleslaw was good, creamy with a little bit of sweetness. Visually, the dish looked really good, but the overall flavor, texture and freshness just wasn't there. Would I try them again but dine in with them? Absolutely. I feel it is worth giving them another chance.

The spam musubi were good but the nori didn't sit long enough to have a clean bite without it tearing through the rest of the wrapping. Coconut shrimp were actually very tasty and a great crunch, but the coconut dipping sauce was a bit overwhelming in flavor. I think a savory sauce would complement it best. Pork lumpia, delicious! The shrimp and mahi tacos were ok... it could have used more depth with the slaw and again there seem to be an other sweet sauce. Paired with the Mahi was good but with the shrimp overpowering. My son loved the Huli Huli chicken it definitely had the Hawaiian barbecue flavor, was tasty! The drinks were strong all around the table! I'd return, but would probably stick to appetizers as the flavor for those was better than entrees.

It was refreshing and pretty tasty! They also offer vegan options, including vegan ice cream, which is a great choice for anyone looking for a dairy-free treat. One thing to be aware of, though, is the pricing on the add-ons. It appears the prices may have increased, but the price board has not been updated. The board lists add-ons at 50¢, but we were charged 75¢ for each add-on. Because of this, the final total was higher than we expected. Hopefully they will update the price board to reflect the current pricing so customers know what to expect when ordering. Overall, we would recommend this place for a cool and refreshing dessert, especially for those looking for vegan or dairy-free options. Just be sure to double-check the add-on prices!

I was happy to see a list of options and toppings on the glass because everything was covered so I wasn't able to see what they had available. I liked how they have specialty drinks; I ordered the mahalo colada and hubby ordered the dragonfruit juice. Their ice machine was out of order but the drinks were cold so we got them anyway. It's one of the only dishes that seems "healthy" to me there. I have ordered other platters but they seem super artery clogging. Their Dole whip is the best no doubt. Here's the down side though... they're sometimes slow and sometimes out of things. They definitely seem to run on "island time" so it's authentic on that end. But I wish it was a little more consistent. Sometimes the garlic shrimp dish is also inconsistent... out of the salad, or the dressing, or the rice. And it's sometimes different based on who's cooking. Sometimes they serve it with their macaroni salad, sometimes not. (Btw the macaroni salad is amazing!) If they were more consistent and a little faster, I'd be there more often. I'm not a fan of musubi. Once I found a hair in mine from here and it really turned me off so that I can't order them anymore from there. Not a huge loss since as mentioned, I don't enjoy musubi anyways.
