a man opening the door of a food truck

This truck was recommended to us by a local couple. Pro's: Good food Cute decor You can charge it to your room and enjoy your meal poolside Cons: Hard to find: it's hidden between two cabanas near the bean bag toss. We ordered the ribs with side of potato salad and kale salad and the tri tip nachos. The flavors were well balanced on both dishes. The sauce on the ribs were really good and you get a nice texture because they fry the ribs and then base it with sauce. The tri tip was fall apart good with yummy smoked honey beans. It's a nice sweet and savory meal. And if you like a little heat, they have cute little tobasco bottles to go.

The SAN DANIELLE PROSCIUTTO pizza from this place was top tier. Best pizza we have had. Worth every penny.

We stumbled across this food truck while on the beach. It's a little hidden but that makes it more fun, Like a hidden gem. We got the SAN DANIELLE PROSCIUTTO pizza and it was delicious! Best pizza we have had. It only took about 10 minutes, and the service was excellent. Definitely check it out.

    Nachos

Great spot for poolside or beachside food. Perfect place to split some things, can't go wrong with the pizza or nachos

They don't keep their breakfast open until 10 am. They close earlier than they are supposed to every time. Get there early.

The food was good but it was very overpriced for a food truck! I got the nachos and they were great.

Service was attentive and friendly, conversations were natural and light hearted, it was fun to interact with the chef and the staff as they pass by the bar where we sit. Also best seat in the house cos we got to see every dish come out so we have a preview of all the dishes. Food was delicious and cook in front of us, that was a bonus! Tried the kapachi crudo with passion fruit miso, love it, good blend of savory and tartness. The gnocchi was fluffy and soaked up the Brie sauce very well with small pieces of guanciale that added crunch. Smashed burger was the show!! Crispy edges dry aged wagyu patty with very light pink on the juicy inside, cooked along with caramelized onions and cheese, buns were pressed slightly on the grill with sprinkle of salt to add flavor which was a nice touch! Local catch today was the snapper, charcoal grill was very aromatic and cook for fish delicately with veggies that were sautéed with tako vinaigrette. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and a scoop of honey lavender ice cream was so heavenly! The meal was delicious and fun, definitely will visit again!

I was debating if we should check out and try the breakfast buffet or take a walk to the shops at Wailea, nearby for breakfast & the final decision: decided to do the buffet instead and more convenient since we had slept and woke up just in time before breakfast ends. AC Kitchen hours for breakfast are Mon-Fri. 6:30-10am , Sat-Sun 7:00-11:00 am Pay first with cashier, you will get a table number to order items from the kitchen. The self serve items: parfait, cereal, charcuterie, fresh fruits, croissants, waffles, granola, juice and coffee is nicely set up. Items from the Kitchen, which you order from staff : avocado toast, classic oatmeal, open face toast, belgium waffle, gourmet egg tarts, croissant sandwich, & loco moco. The made to order items from the kitchen are super good and tasty, my favorites are the croissant sandwich, avocado toast and open face toast. Having eggs was such a nice treat due to the egg shortage. I loved the croissant sandwich, it was prepared to perfection. My hubby enjoyed his loco moco. Since it was all you can eat, we were full after our first order, took a little break and ordered again, but hmm... how many can one eat?! It was a great selection of breakfast items. I missed out on ordering the belgium waffles, ( next time) Overall, so convenient, great service, great food, lovely experience. I would go for the buffet again next time I visit.

We've eaten here a few times and I got to try everything, so I think I have a good take on the place. My initial quest was to try every buffet in Maui island, specifically to find a made-to-order buffet here in Maui (post-transplant patients have to stay away from buffets due to cross contamination, germs, etc). I've eaten here pre and post op and it's good, decent! It's not comprehensive, as it's a small, tiny buffet, but for what it offers, I like it. From a year or two ago, it was $22, then late last year it jumped to $25, and when we went today (6/2023) it is now $30. Still cheap considering you can easily spend that, for 2 people (especially at a hotel buffet). You check in with the person at the podium adjacent to the buffet nook to pay first and put in your initial order. The menu of the made-to-order items are on an upright menu and consist of: loco moco, avocado toast, egg tarts (leek, spinach and cheese, and Swiss), egg scramble on toast, oatmeal, Belgian waffles, etc). You can also order lattes and cappuccinos here, but they're trash because they come from one of those kureig things. Very watery. In the actual DIY area of the buffet they have: charcuterie board, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, muffins, croissants, fresh cut fruit like blueberries, melons and strawberries, cereals like cheerios and granola, cartons of milk, carafes of juice like OJ, apple, pineapple, water and iced coffee. A breakfast yogurt with chia seeds, and oatmeal toppings like brown sugar, dried cranberries, etc. All your condiments like ketchup, Tobasco, sugar, and utensils are in the buffet area as well. I deducted a star because seating is weird and kind of sparse, and the coffee is bad. Again, their selection is smaller than conventional buffets, especially for hotels, but I've always left content and happy. If you like having many options to try for a meal that buffets offer but in a made-to-order format, come here. Along with the always friendly hostess/server, I'll come back.

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. I also bought extras for sharing and had to pass them out quickly before temptation called. I'll return soon.

I did enjoy overall. The cinnamon roll was not hot from the oven, so I avoided disappointment. Next time I got the almond croissant. Pretty tasty. Basically they cut the croissant in half, filled in the cream and put the top back. Odd. Better between the two. Might be too sweet for some. Prices are higher than other places. I don't think you'll find anything subpar. Seems like good offerings.

In comparison to some other brands such as Aman, Four Seasons Maui felt below average given its price point. The resort itself felt small and a bit old. The service felt very below average and inconsistent. One employee would tell you the sun umbrellas at the pools near the bushes are not adjustable while literally 2 mins later another employee came and adjusted the sun umbrella next to me and also mine when I asked. When we went to the adult pool we were told by one employee that we needed to be on a waitlist. After 3 hours when we finally got notified that it was our turn and went back we noticed other guests just literally went and grabbed empty benches and staffs were just setting the benches up for them(no, they didn't even know there was a waitlist)... Our canoe experience at the last day of our stay got canceled due to high wind and the concierge never notified us etc. Many employees gave me the vibe that they don't really care. They just gave me fake smiles and robotic responses. Maybe Amond would take better care of us...if he is still alive... The view was very amazing. We even spotted whales many times.
