He responded to my Yelp message right way, was willing to work with my budget and found a great spot for my family and I to take our photos. However, Stephen capture some great pictures and my family and I were extremely happy. Also, he doesn't take hours to capture great pics which is great when you have a baby who can only do so many shots. Love love love our photos and I highly recommend Wingman Photography. He answered my initial inquiry very quickly, and proposed a price for the picture-taking session we found quite reasonable. He showed up promptly at the time and day we had agreed on. He had several good suggestions for locations and orientations in the yard and the beach for pictures, and was also open to all of the requests we made. He took lots of pictures, and after the session he did a very careful job of selecting only the best of the pictures to share with us. Our family is delighted with the pictures, and the quick (under a week) turn-around time. We would engage him again in a heartbeat if our family returns to that area of Hawaii.

I blinked... And the wedding was over…read more My fiance and I spent countless months emailing/calling/texting vendors to make sure that we chose the right people for the job. We read through hundreds of reviews on The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Yelp. Since we live in the San Francisco bay area and the wedding was in Waikiki, it was especially difficult trying to sample food via FaceTime.... So much excitement planning the big day.... and it was over in an instant. And I don't recall if I cried when Kortni walked down the aisle. I don't remember what music was playing as we entered the reception. I don't know what the Lilikoi cheesecake tasted like. I don't remember if I got a dance with my mom. ... and that's where Albiola Photography and Videography came in. Jon captured every precious moment. His team of photographers and videographers answered all of the important questions. Yes, I cried. The entrance song was "Can't Stop the Feeling" from Trolls. No, because I didn't eat the cheesecake (or anything on my plate for that matter). Yes, I danced with mom to Boyz II Men. But let me rewind for just a moment... Jon is extremely responsive. And since there is a 3 hour time difference, it was nice to get a call before 9:00pm PST and not using the scale of "Hawaiian Time", which translates to 2 or 3 days later. LOL. Jon responded within the hour. He was very professional, easygoing, and worked within our budget. It didn't take long for us to sign the contract. Ok, back to the wedding... Kortni and I decided to write each other love letters on the morning of the wedding. My nephew (also my ring bearer) was practicing his reading skills by reading the letter aloud as I wrote. It was kinda embarrassing, because I was being cheesy, but cute to hear him read. As I was putting on the finishing touches to the letter, I looked back and noticed that Jon was capturing every minute on camera. It was a special moment and Jon caught it. Jon has a special knack of being at the right place at the right time and not being in the way. He's like a photo ninja. But when he needed to take charge of a situation, like the chaos between the ceremony and the reception, he was able to take charge and still be nice about it. He was assertive, without being an ass, so i guess that makes him just ertive. Jon & Crystal also took great sunset photos at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Crystal caught several instances of us being our normal cute selves and just said "look up at me, guys". When we received a sneak peek of the photos, we agreed that the "look up at me, guys" pictures were some of our favorites. It was just us being dorks, but dressed a little nicer than usual. We were very surprised at how amazing the sneak peek of our photos looked and how quickly we received them (within a week). Kortni and I are very thankful for Jon, Crystal and the rest of the staff. Our photos and videos are amazing. See below. www.Mesascottohana.wedding https://vimeo.com/252007158 We highly recommend Albiola Photography and Videography to capture the precious moments on your special day. Our last photoshoot included my extended family and he was able to get so many great shots quickly without feeling rushed. My family were also impressed and asked for all sorts of photos, and he handled them all very well. Posing photos are great but I love candid ones that he captures of our kids. Jason and assistant Mitch photographed our wedding at Ko'olau Ballrooms…read more This was both my partner's and my first time being professionally photographed. We're not models--we're not really familiar with angles, posing, etc. I found Jason on a whim while browsing tagged wedding vendors on Instagram. I knew that I wanted photography that was moody (not overexposed/bright) and had natural posing direction (not every shot smiling to camera but not posing direction that felt overdone). While browsing Jason's website portfolio and his IG, I actually got a bit teary-eyed because of how beautiful his shots were. He and his team have a great eye for shot composition as well as capturing genuine emotion. I also love that the photos have a film-like quality to them. Since my bridesmaids and I had to get ready in town in a relatively small hotel room at 6am before driving over to the windward side, I decided to just have photography start at the ceremony site (rather than having getting ready photos). It was also my first time getting hair and makeup professionally done so it ended up being nice to have some "private" time rather than feeling internal pressure to be "on"/camera ready from 6am. Jason and Mitch were great to work with on the day of and made sure that we felt comfortable throughout the day. Mitch was great at assisting me with holding my bouquet (for photos but also so I could eat/get some sips of water) as well as gathering/laying out my wedding dress train. If this is your first time getting photographed, definitely make sure to practice pausing/holding poses during key moments of your ceremony and reception (like your first kiss, hugging parents, etc.) for five seconds so that the photographers have enough time to capture the moment! It might feel awkward but your guests won't notice and photos are forever!

L'Amour can be credited for capturing my wedding day (October 2025) and creating life-lasting memories of one of the best days of my life. I felt so comfortable with the team and it made the wedding day that much less stressful, not having to worry about constant posing or feeling unnatural. There was an oversight on a relatively last minute addition I had requested and thought was approved by my wedding planning team + L'Amour. Though it was physically impossible to make up for it (the moment had already passed), I appreciate Eric's sincerity in trying to remedy the situation however possible. Reflecting back, the mistake could have been caught by multiple people involved, including myself, but life is too short to be upset about something that cannot be helped at this point in time. Ultimately, received a ceremony highlight video and many, many photos -- which I love and value so much. To Eric, Jon, Jimmy and everyone else whom I hadn't gotten the chance to get the name of at L'Amour, know that you folks make such a significant impact in making people's special days as amazing as they are.
