Read that they had added some vendors but still found it lacking . Vendors are not all open the same days and times so it is pretty hit and miss. Even some of the food trucks I liked last time were not there anymore. Unless they make big changes this was my last stop. There is no draw pulling me there. There are places elsewhere worth my time.

The shops are open during the market as well. Expect a line at some of the more popular vendors. The coconut drinks were busy--give that booth some space as when they are chopping the coconuts, stuff is flying everywhere lol! The pineapple vendor was very popular as well. Loved they had free samples available as that was probably one of the best pineapples I've ever had! Was happy I also got to try the Right Slice, which also was very popular and had a line. They were friendly and helpful in answering questions and sharing their most popular pies. We got two slices for $15. The lilikoi cheesecake was incredible and their most popular flavor. We also got the mango lilikoi which had a peach pie texture. That one was more bland and I didn't care for it as much as the other one.

It was our first time…read moreattending this market and we found parking in the beach parking lot on Niu street - it was hard to find the lot at first. Suggest arriving about half hour before it starts to get parking. We bought some avocados, apple banana and papaya. Mostly fresh fruit/veggie stands with some baked goods/treats. Would recommend if you find yourself in Kapaa town on a Wednesday. Vendors were very nice and hospitable.

We also buy pineapple there, you will never enjoy pineapple like you do in Hawaii. It's the best! Unfortunately Hawaii is having a pineapple shortage right now due to lower temps earlier this year in 2025. Bummer! There are lots of other shops in the complex with friendly owners and unique souvenirs and gifts for those back home. Absolutely love shopping here towards the end of our stay on Kauai. Would add that it's not the easiest set up for those with accessibility challenges to navigate because all stalls are largely situated on a big patch of grass. Parking is limited so I would recommend carpooling when possible. Could definitely feel the island vibes with music playing from some stalls, and locals catching up with the farmers and vendors while selecting their produce for the week. Prices are comparable to those at the grocery stores. Would definitely recommend checking out when around the area.

I look forward to this one because it's one of the bigger, more established farmers market. A few years back, I think it was located at the parking lot of the community college itself with more food trucks. The vendors are friendly & most give out samples. I am more inclined to purchase if the vendor is generous with samples (hint hint wink wink) Of note, it's in a grassy area & can get pretty murky/muddy after a rain. Parking is where you can find it at the park. There's of course fresh fruits & vegetables in season, cooked foods (Filipino, Thai, Korean & much more). The one that stood out was the Honey (Yellow) watermelon-- the vendor was all smiles & offered generous samples of the fruit. Oh my, my, my!! It was so sweet, crisp & mouthwateringly delicious! I couldn't pass it up. The sticker price was by size & I asked the vendor to pick a good one for me-- Yokes! $14 Wowzah. That's the most I have ever paid for any watermelon EVER. This had better me a life-changing delicious pick hahaha. We shall see. I was planning on getting my veggies here for my Sinigang (Filipino sour soup): got Ongchoy (kang-kong), okra & small taro--it is called gabi in Tagalog & gandus in Kapampangan. I love gandus coz is definitely creamier in texture compared to the big taro that is used for making poi. I always look forward to visiting this farmers market but sometimes we're not in the area when it is here. I was fortunate to have visited this time. UPDATE: the honey watermelon was sooooo worth it. 10/17/22 was really tempted to buy these rambutan…read more... Located across from Kealia Beach, this FM only had 4 vendors, one of which was a masseur. I get really excited about the huge mangoes, avocados & sugar cane tubers. My eyes are bigger than my stomach so I have to refrain from buying too much--we might not get to eat all of it before we left for the mainland. I love the taste of apple bananas so I bought about 6 of them (they're pretty small) & some okra. I've got a few more FM to visit this week. I'm always curious about what fruits & vegetables are in season this side of the pond.
