We moved to Reno from out of state and didn't know anyone! Thank goodness we found Aloha Dave through a referral from our realtors! In my search for a handyman, he was the first person that could flex with our weird schedule, and had, by far, the best attitude. Flexible, laid back, easy to work with, someone you can have a nice conversation with and feel comfortable having in your home. I can't remember a week that went by for months without a list he was working on.
Dave had a good working knowledge on how to best approach freshening up the look of our home. At first we didn't even live at the house, there was so much work to be done, on a specific timeline, and it was obvious that Dave has worked in this type of situation many times. Dave was able to coordinate with us on multiple projects, work seamlessly around the painters, and even advised us when on site and we were working with other contractors for flooring HVAC, and countertops.
Dave did it all. Replaced all the light fixtures, and we went with his recommendation to switch everything to LED, a small thing that made our home look better and made us more energy efficient. Dave installed ceiling fans, fixed the front door and installed new hardware, replaced shower heads and sink faucets, stopped leaks, re-grouted our shower pans, installed a disposal, hung pictures, fixed an outside electrical issue, hung a big screen TV, and on and on. All the while listening, consulting, and giving great advice, like replacing our outdated canned lights, and figuring out that what we thought was an electrical problem with all our outside lights. Turns out, all we had to do was replace the weird looking lightbulbs. That's also another great example of him telling us the best place to buy products, which came in handy multiple times.
Now that we are settled into the house and all the big and little projects are done, Dave will continue to be our go-to for any of our maintenance or upgrade needs. Dave is very precise, and he always makes sure things are exactly where and how we want them. read more
