A long overdue review, but incredibly heartfelt and full of gratitude. When the market and rates were getting really tricky in 2023, Shannon and her awesome team helped us through a very tough time and difficult refinancing of our home so that we could buy out the other heir to the property. Not only did she help us save our home, she also helped us to consolidate our debts and make everything manageable. They never gave up on us and fought to make it all work out. We'll be forever grateful. Thank you Shannon! Thanks so much for you and your fabulous team! read more

Easy, 5 stars! If I could choose 10 stars I would! What can I say? As a customer, we want to be heard-- our current situation, our concerns, our goals. Not only did Shannon listen, she delivered! Due to Covid-19, our encounters were mainly over the phone; however, I felt that she delivered amazing customer service. Our very first conversation, she spent over an hour getting to know me, learn my situation, and understand what my goals are. She then aligned them to her resources and was able to find me an amazing refinance deal that I couldn't resist. Without hesitation, she helped me lock in the rate and we hit the ground running. In a little over a month, I was able to close on my refinance and I can't thank her enough! Her professionalism, awesome communication skills throughout the entire refinance process, and sense of caring for her clients and their financial needs/ concerns really stood out to me. I recommend Shannon and her entire team at Aloha Lending Services for all your finance and refinance needs. Looking forward to working with her and her team in the future. (= read more

Shannon & her team are 1st CLASS!! My initial consultation with her was via phone (C19 still in effect!) as she explained in detail & laments terms what each item was for, how the process worked & what was expected of us. The ease of doing everything securely online, the readiness & quick responses she or her team would provide when I would have additional questions (or simply couldn't read my own notes!) was impeccable. The professionalism shown by this Team is remarkable & in no way demeaning (nobody wants to share their financial status with just anybody!!). Smooth escrow was all I could hear in my head! A few hiccups on our side, but this Team didn't miss a beat!! Mahalo Shannon, Lindsay, Hoku & Ileina!! I sincerely appreciate your due diligence in keeping us on task & getting us thru the process so easily!! read more

They were very helpful. I don't like being the middle man to get specific documents i.e insurance proofs from HOA and tax docs from property management. Once I put them in touch with my point of contacts they stayed on top of it until we got what was needed. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My family and I were in a unique and challenging situation. To say the least, it was a family transaction with ownership changes, add a little family drama and top it off, I live in another state. As overwhelmed as I was, Shannon and her team (Lindsay and Hoku) relieved my anxiety with their expertise and support through the entire process. They patiently explained each step, responded promptly to all communications, and handled our family dynamics with remarkable professionalism. The value they provided extended far beyond the transaction itself - they offered peace of mind, emotional support, and genuine care throughout the entire process. My grandma is 80 years old and Shannon opened her home and visited her to help with the documents (I couldn't imagine sending her to Office Max to do it). This is my forever home I purchased, and they made sure I understood everything every step of the way. Their kindness, patience, and trustworthiness made all the difference; I couldn't have asked for a better team! Mahalo Mahalo Mahalo Aloha Lending Services, I am forever grateful! read more

If you are looking for a team that will do everything in their power to help you get approved, look no further. I reached out to another brokerage in regards to refinancing my family's house, and they simply told me that they could not help me. They did not offer me any alternatives or advice. Shannon and the Aloha Lending team on the other hand, listened to my situation and gave my family and myself our options. My mom and dad are both self-employed while I was the only one with consistent paystubs, and yet they were able to help us out. I would not have blamed Shannon and her team if they gave up on us, because our situation was quite complicated to say the least. I almost gave up on multiple occasions due to banks giving us such a hard time to get an approval, but Shannon and her team never wavered and never stopped trying. I'm not going to sugarcoat it: this cash-out refinance saved my family and myself. My family and myself were struggling with bills and we NEEDED this refinance to go through. After a few months of working with Aloha Lending, we finally got the approval! My family and I can breathe again. All thanks to Shannon and the Aloha Lending Team. I don't leave much reviews, but I had to for Aloha Lending. They helped us when other companies said it was not possible. If you are reading this Shannon, Mel, and the entire team, I would like to thank each and everyone of you for giving my family and myself a fresh start with our finances. I will be forever grateful. read more

February 2023: And another one! We were able to acquire our next door unit for an unbeatable price and it was a private sale, no realtors, just owner to owner. Shannon and her team took care of everything and got me an awesome rate for a horrible time we were in. 30 year rates were over 6%, but Shannon got me a 10 year ARM with BOH for only 5.5%. Hopefully, rates go back down and I can refinance with Shannon and her team again. 2020: Another successful refinance! 3rd times a charm. Shame on me for benefiting during a pandemic but I had to refinance when the rates dropped. As quick as they had done it before I was able to secure a rate of 2.5% from 3.25% that we just closed on in April 2020. From the initial purchase of our home in May 2019 at 4.5%, we refinanced October 2019 at 3.99% with Aloha Lending, again in April 2020 at 3.25% with Aloha Lending, and just closed this month, October 2020 at 2.5%. Since being referred to Aloha Lending we will finally be saving $700/mo on our mortgage payments. Thank you Aloha Lending Services for being consistently beneficial and assisting my family with the biggest purchase of our lives. read more

Shannon Taparra truly exemplifies the aloha spirit. My husband and I currently live on the mainland, so I understand the challenge it must have been to collaborate with such a large time difference (we are 5 hours ahead). She was able to get us the best loan possible that would meet our needs to retire early. Her team, along with Lindsay Gil, have not only been friendly - they were exceptionally responsive and reliable. Thank you so much for making the loan process easy and efficient. My wife and I worked with Shannon and her team in purchasing our house back in 2016. Since then we've refinanced our house twice with her. Having someone help us locally has made the process a lot easier and we felt like we could really trust that they had our best interests in mind. During my second refinance I did go with another company because of issues with an open HELOC I had that it wasn't in my best interest to go with Aloha Lending. Shannon gave me tips on what to look for even though she wasn't getting the business. Long story short the mainland company I chose to go with was a disaster which took over 5 months and ended up with me withdrawing from the process. That was a blessing in disguise in which rates went lower and Shannon found a work around way of rolling my HELOC into a personal loan, refinancing my house and then getting another HELOC to pay off the personal loan. It was a lot of work but Aloha Lending did a lot of that leg work for us and I just had to show up and sign papers. Aloha Lending is great at what they do and we highly recommend them if your looking at buying a home or refinancing. Shannon and her staff (and we've worked with a bunch of them) are all friendly and good at what they do. You can rest easy knowing you're with them. read more

Shannon and her team at Aloha Lending Services are the best! I initially reached out over a year ago and spoke to Shannon about what I wanted to do.
