Amazing Kahlua Pork and Katsu chicken for dinner tonight. Tastes like Hawaii- so yummy! You get to choose 2 sides- white or brown rice, noodles, potato-macaroni salad or pineapple coleslaw. Also ordered some Malasadas to go which is a Hawaiian- Portuegese "donut" - soooo good! You can't go wrong with light and airy fried dough rolled in sugar. This was 15-20 mins before they closed and they were so kind to make them for us. The people were so nice and friendly. I highly recommend for Hawaiian food lovers! read more

Food was good had the Kalua pork and bbq chicken. It came with two sides Mac salad and potato salad and also Cole slaw. The potato/Mac salad tasted like it was out of a milk carton that is used in most groc stores service delis. All the rest was very good! read more

Good unique food and completely different than the other hawaiian place in town (Kona). Both are good but this place is better for stewy meats and good sides- the other one is better for sandwiches and finger food... Aloha doesn't even have sandwiches. I love the pork and the spicy chicken and the noodles here. Atmosphere is pretty bad strip-mall style and its very small. I can only recommend it as a takeout place- BUT almost everything on the menu for taste/size is well above average! read more

Stopped in for a quick take out before our sons Lacrosse game. They were busy but the service was excellent and very friendly. Very authentic Hawaiian on all levels, like we have had on the islands. My wife had the Kahluha Pork and the flavor was subtle, I would prefer a little more but certainly tender. I had the lava chicken, tasty. We just recently moved to Bend from Kona, Hawaii, and came here to satisfy our plate lunch craze we were having. What a gem in eastern Oregon! Great food, and an amazing owner! The menu only offers about 4 different options. (not an exact estimate but pretty close) It's kind of disappointing actually. Although the service was nice and friendly, and we received our food quickly I wasnt impressed with the flavor. It was very so so for me. I had the steak with white rice and a salad. I could easily make the same dish at home with more pizazz. My husband had the ribs and said they were tender but the flavor was also sort of bland. We probably wont be returning. Sorry Aloha Cafe, we just like something a little more on the wild side. read more

This place is amazing staff and food. I recommend ordering over the phone and pick-up. They have a wonderful atmosphere but tight seating. And because they are so amazing always packed. Only spot in town where Hawaiian food is truely amazing. I don't eat teriyaki dishes anywhere else in town. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE ALOHA CAFE. They always have friendly attentive employees. And THE BEST Hawaiian food in Bend hands down. The portions look kinda small, but as soon as you dig in, you realize just how much you got. And for a very reasonable price. My personal favorite is the Lava Chicken with noodles and white rice. I also love that they have authentic Hawaiian juices in their fridge. I have yet to try all of their other options on the menu, but I'm sure they're great. Only thing I wish they had were paper menus to take home. Other than that, keep up the good work Aloha, I think I've found my new favorite food spot. :) read more

These guys are located on NE 27th and Hwy 20E near the Phoenix restaurant and Taco Bell. Its a small but totally worth the visit. First timers should split the Big Kahuna combo platter. It's like $13 and you can split it and still be full when you leave. Or, the Volcano Chicken is spicy good but not over hot. Just great Fast Friendly Service with great food and reasonable prices. I'm not exactly sure what the guy a couple reviews down is talking about, but the girl up front was so sweet and helpful and explained things from the menu so I knew what everything was a few days ago. Maybe it was a different girl, but the one I encountered had excellent customer service. I had the teriyaki chicken with potato macaroni salad and pineapple coleslaw and it was amazing. Employees did not answer the phone...I called to place my order, phone was busy and it was 6:00 o'clock so I figured they were swamped, and I thought that the phone was busy because they were taking orders over the phone (logical, right?). So I drove there, and I live far away-- but I thought it would be worth the trip because it's good food for the price...well, it was a big waste of gas, I got there and I was told they ran out of food-- and that they were done taking orders for the night...I told them I called and the line was busy so I headed on over-- the response I got was truly unbelievable, something to this effect: "we turned off our phone because we sold out (all the food)"...DO YOU THINK THEY COULD HAVE ANSWERED THE PHONE AND TOLD ME THAT AND SAVED MY GAS AND TIME?!?!! It's a business for Pete's sake, they need to answer the freaking phone! Ridiculous!!! Some aloha spirit... Worse yet, apparently this turning off their phone is a common practice when they sell out all the food-- or so I was told!! WTF??! What is worse, the employee who told me that turned his back on me in mid-sentence when i started to express my displeasure about the matter. I did not even get an "I'm sorry". I used to be a regular customer here...but from now on I will be going to Kona Mix Plate, it's better anyway!! read more

I've been coming here since 2008 and it's always been great I terms of tasty food. Service can be hit or miss sometimes but overall it's not a terrible experience. If I could suggest anything, I'd like to see more vegetables on menu. Maybe it's because Hawaiian food isn't big with vegetables, I'm not sure? But it would be nice to get a side of vegetables or sauteed vegetables with the meat. read more

Okay to be fair I have only had one dish, but that one dish is so good I can't seem to branch out. I always always get the volcano chicken, crispy spicy and juicy, why would I get anything else?! I love the macaroni potato salad it is the best of both, the brown rice is so yummy a Lil sweetness and I can say I'm being somewhat health when I get it.
