Michael and his team always do an excellent job! They get our requests done quickly and create durable signs/ decals that are very reasonably priced compared to some other vendors. One of our jobs was to have a sign replaced because the gate it was on was rubbing it off so the current sign was nearly illegible. Even though I am not a huge fan of calling out businesses for not doing what they say they can and not returning phone calls this is one of those posts. Michael Carlson and Portland Badge Company, LLC failed miserably at coming through on a project he took on and kept saying they would accomplish. Sept 1st I contacted Michael and sent a message asking he could put an image on the front of my dads Montana 5th wheel telling him the dimensions were 6ft x 4ft. He sent a reply saying he could do that and to send him the picture. I sent him the picture on the 1st of September. On the 16th of September he sent one installer to install a 6' x 4' image and that installer tore it on install. He said he would print it out again and call my dad tomorrow. It was the 22nd of September dad had heard nothing and so I emailed Michael again he said tomorrow early evening had a few issues with installers schedule. The second time the installer came by on the 25th of September it was only one installer again and he brought a bill (which has not been paid) dated 9/22 for the agreed amount. Again he could not get the image on correctly and had to take it down. Dad called and left a message to Michael saying this is a two person job send two people. After 5 phone messages an email was sent by my dad on the 6th of October asking what was going on and offering to get 6ft scaffolding frames to help with the install as the top of the trailer is approx 12 ft in the air. Oct 8th Michael emailed my dad back saying his installer had bailed on him and he was looking for a new installer. Ending the note with "we will get you happy" Oct 8th dad sent a message they were leaving for Arizona on the 28th of this month call to schedule. Oct 10th after not hearing from anyone he sent another meassage again saying they are leaving on th 28th and can he have it installed by the 24th so it has time to set so the 1500 mile trip wont ruin it. Oct 10th email from Michael states "we will make it happen" As you can probably guess here we are on the 25th over a month past the first attempt at install and still nothing installed. Never once was there communication that maybe it couldnt be done or anything. NO calls no returns and no attempts at another install. It is now to late to find someone else as they leave in three days. I am sorry I cannot recommend Michael Carlson or Portland Badge Company for anything of this magnitude or anything else for that matter. If anyone disagrees or questions this I have all the emails between my dad and Michael and between me and him. read more

Outstanding service! I gave Portland Badge a call because I was in a bit of a pinch last Friday. I needed a small name badge to replace one I had lost. It was latter in the afternoon and I was worried I might need to wait until the following Monday! A charming voice appeared on the other end and was more then helpful. Within minutes she had gotten all the info she needed and told me it would be done within an hour and a half. Wonderful. I had several other things going however and didn't exactly think I would get there in 90 minutes. I received a call telling me that they were closing for the day but my badge would be left on their front door. I had not paid, I had not even met them face to face, but in my opinion they went above and beyond to help me out in a tight situation. I would be proud to give them my business anytime! read more

All orders have been perfect and my company will continue to use his service for labels, banners, and other promotional products. All I can say is WOW! Michael Carlson is a world class act. I walked in there to get boat number decals made and was quoted $25. They made it there in front of me and when it was done, Michael handed it to me and said there you go. I was confused for a second, as I have not paid for them yet. As he led me to the door and we shook hands again, I was bedazzled. I'm not the kind of person who walks without paying for things. So I questioned him and said "this is on the house?" He said "yes". Portland Badge & Sign Company is awesome! They have been making our magnetic name badges for about 2 years now and always do a great job.
