Thoroughly enjoyed our staycation here for a Galentine's day get-together with friends. We opted for a slightly larger 2 queen room with a small seating area and I'm so glad we did. This made staying "in" so much more enjoyable. I also called ahead that day to see if they would accommodate an early check-in so that I could add some special touches to the room for our friends, and they were happy to accommodate. The front desk staff was usually quick to help, and one woman who's name I've forgotten was especially friendly and helpful. (She was headed to the Superbowl a few days after our stay if that helps management identify her ) We used the small, but clean, pool and enjoyed that portion of the visit as well. The lobby / bar / games area was a great touch and we enjoyed grabbing a board game to play here and just get out of the room without being forced into the winter weather outside. The breakfast package included a stipend of $10/adult on the reservation, which covered a nut/fruit oatmeal and an Oatly cold brew, or a single burrito or egg sandwich. It was all adequate, but The breakfast alone would not sell me on coming back. Overall, it was a great stay, and they even offered us a late check out, So we definitely felt like we got our money's worth between the early check-in, the late checkout, the good service overall, and the included breakfast (we booked via the American Airlines portal with pts+cash).

We love these dog friendly hotels. King bed was comfy, service friendly, love the modern eclectic decor and room was clean. It was Chunk and Monk approved! They just need a small fenced in dogpark on premises and our dogs would be thrilled!

Quick and easy stay at Aloft Omaha Aksarben - only was here for one night but it was all we needed. There was a bar in the lobby with some additional games and seating area. We didn't go check out the pool since it was late and went straight to our room. This Aloft is definitely more upscale than some of the other Alofts that I've stayed at. We had one room with a queen size bed, even though it was a small room, we felt like we had plenty of space with a small corner seating and table.

My daughters and I did a little staycation here in Omaha and I thought the bright colors and modern features would be an appeal to them, which they were. Overall, we had a positive experience, but there is definitely insight to be gained from other reviews. Specifically, as others have said, the room layout is unique and lacks privacy. The toilet area is closed off by a door, but the shower area is rather open - behind a wall with the beds, but not closed off on one side. For me, with daughters, I don't mind, but my pre-teen daughter did not enjoy the exposure. Additionally, if you and your hotel mate have different waking/sleeping hours this may present a challenge. I also found some attention to details lacking - no towels in the pool area (had to call the front desk), our room was missing some toiletry items and yes, the shower has no soap dish, which is annoying. The location is convenient - walkable to Aksarben Village and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, but its important to keep some of these quirks in mind if booking.

So this is my 4th stay here. It's always been a pleasant place but this time is a little annoying because there's a ton of teenage boys that play hockey staying here and I've never come into contact with so much rudeness. Also they water pressure in shower and sink is terrible. Price is good tho and like I said, it's not the hotels fault all these brats are running up and down hallways and making so much noise. Oh great. Now they're slamming doors too. Like where are the parents? I will add that the staff has always been very friendly.

Charged us for a room we never stayed in. Would not work with us. Stole $1600. I will never stay at another Aloft again.

They shipped everything back to us right away. Over the years I've lost plenty of things at other hotels--and even when I call, I'm usually told they can't find them. So I was genuinely grateful and happy that this hotel reached out so quickly and made sure our belongings got back to us. Exceptional service!

I just had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences with Tru Hotel by Hilton…read more I originally booked a reservation at the Tru Hotel in Omaha but later realized I actually needed the Tru Hotel in North Platte. I called to ask if they could simply switch my reservation to the correct Tru location. The representative said no--that the only option was to cancel my Omaha booking, charge me a one-night cancellation fee, and then rebook me at the North Platte property. I asked to speak with a manager, and was connected with Daniel, the Front Desk Manager. Daniel repeated the same thing: Hilton's policy required me to pay a $150 cancellation fee, even though I was still planning to stay with Tru at a different location. Here's the part that makes no sense: If they had waived the fee and transferred my reservation, they would've kept my business. I would've rebooked at Tru in North Platte, paying around $460 in total. Instead, they chose to enforce the cancellation policy, charge me $150, and lose a loyal customer. They essentially lost out on about $300 and future loyalty over a rigid policy. As soon as I hung up, I booked with another hotel--Avid Hotel in North Platte--which was newer, less expensive, and happy to have my business. To Daniel: following policy at the expense of common sense and customer loyalty is a short-sighted move. You didn't just lose a 3-night stay---you lost a customer. Lesson learned: Hilton may be about policy; I'll stick with hotels that value people.

They acknowledged loyalty status & provided a snacks inside of a seasonal goodie bag. The effort definitely showed. On existing the elevator, the scent changed drastically. Stale cigarettes from decades ago would be my guess. If they don't have smoking rooms, they need a major overhaul to get that stench out. If they do have smoking rooms, they need better separation for the non-smoking rooms. The room was cleaned well & the odor was less noticeable inside, while still faintly lingering. We had a standard K room & went almost immediately for the bed, exhausted. Which brings us to the bed... she was worn out. Not getting old, not starting to wear. I'm talking sit on the edge and slide to the middle before being swallowed up by this very beyond it's best buy date mattress. Lastly, the breakfast room is huge & had tons of options. We didn't look at them all. No bananas, tho... only apples. In all fairness, every property we stayed at this trip, regardless of brand, had no bananas. We had boiled eggs, scrambled egg-like substance that was loaded with veggies & the hubs had a waffle. Coffee was drinkable. For under $100 to crash, it was acceptable. I'd prefer they raise the rate & get new mattresses!

The only saving was the guy who dog sat for me for an hour and why I left 2 stars instead of one. Him and the two friendly employees who are probably now fired because they called out the managers attitude. I know one guy did the breakfast and his ex-wife I think was housekeeping. The pool was closed via sign on the front desk. If it had been mentioned on the website (pool being why I chose here), I would have looked elsewhere. The furniture in the lobby was grimy. There were stains on my sheets. There was some kind of construction going on I think? That's the only explanation for the dirty carpets. No wY would I stay here again

At check-in, I noticed I was not offered a room upgrade despite holding Titanium status. Because I had a meeting, I couldn't address it right away. Later that day, I spoke with Eric at the front desk--and that interaction alone guaranteed I will never return. Eric was rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in doing his job. Instead of assisting, he deflected responsibility, stating he had "just logged in" and implying I should have handled it earlier. He then brushed me off by saying he would "let them know" in the morning--completely ignoring the fact that upgrades are based on availability at the time of request. When I tried to clarify whether he understood Titanium benefits, his response was vague and borderline sarcastic. It was obvious he either lacked basic knowledge of Marriott Bonvoy elite benefits or simply didn't care. Either way, that level of service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I was told at check-in that Titanium members would be charged $50 for a late checkout beyond 3 PM--this directly contradicts the guaranteed 4 PM late checkout benefit. Providing inaccurate information to elite members is not just frustrating--it reflects poor training and mismanagement. I travel frequently across several states and stay in Marriott properties often. I have never been treated this poorly or with this level of disregard. The combination of incompetence, misinformation, and outright disrespect from staff is inexcusable. I will NEVER stay at this property again and will actively discourage others from doing so. There are far better options in the area that actually value their guests and honor loyalty benefits.
