Alex Tong and associates were fast, professional, responsive, attentive, resourceful and overall…read morenice. I was in some trouble with taxes resulting in me owing thousands (and thousands) of dollars to the IRS. In a frenzy, I asked the people at my church if they have any accountants that they recommend, one suggested Alex Tong. I called the office the next day and they had availability for me to come in THAT morning. The appointment only took 20 mins or so. Alex just looked at all of my documents and said something along the lines of "wow this is really messy, but don't worry, we'll take care of it." It felt like the weight of a boulder came off of my shoulders. The next day his associate Delores emailed me to find more information (parents and siblings tax returns). Then it was all of ONE week that they had a packet for me to sign of my amended return resulting in me paying the IRS $147!!!!! (And I owed thousands of THOUSANDS $$$$) This was the first year I filed me taxes independently (not the best idea, given I had no clue what I was doing). Alex Tong and associates have helped me in a very difficult situation. Will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a brilliant accountant! Also will be coming back to file for upcoming years.

Alex and his staff have been our CPA's for many years now after a friend recommended them. Their…read moreservice is always efficient, accurate and friendly. Whatever questions we have they patiently field and answer with good advice and we always appreciate their guidance. We had a personal business as well as our W-2 jobs and their help made all the filings very simple. They demonstrate lots of experience with any curveballs we have thrown their way. Their processes allow you to securely upload tax documents at your convenience and then one is able to easily handle tax return prepping usually by email or Zoom conferencing as needed. I would recommend them to anyone who needs some help with their taxes or business tax questions.

Communication has gone downhill. Asking for clarification and getting zero back, or truly waiting a month for a response. I've been paying them for what I can do on my own with the automated version of TurboTax. A bummer since our friend referred us, but may be they were better many years ago.

I had a very disappointing experience working with Crystal as my bookkeeper. While she was pleasant…read moreat the beginning, her attitude quickly shifted and she became consistently rude and difficult to communicate with. One of the biggest issues was her lack of accountability. There were multiple mistakes made by her team, yet she never took ownership or responsibility for them. Instead of acknowledging the errors or offering any kind of apology, she was dismissive and unhelpful. This left me in a tough position, especially when transitioning to a new accountant who had to spend significant time correcting numerous errors. It's frustrating because I've since seen other reviews describing a similar pattern--friendly at first, then becoming rude and unprofessional--which was exactly my experience as well. I would not recommend her services based on my experiences.

Worth Winning was recommended to me by a college friend and her husband who had been working with…read moreLauryn to meet their financial and life goals. While my situation was not as complex as theirs I still found her help and advice to be great! My main reason for coming to Worth Winning was because I didn't fully understand how my retirement plan worked, and I also didn't know if I should be saving more for retirement, and if so, how much. Lauryn answered all of my questions (sometimes more than once) and was always pleasant in doing so. At our first meeting Lauryn explained the two different plans she offers. The first is more involved and the client pays a monthly rate based on client income for a 60 minute meeting occurring on a monthly basis. The second option is two meetings a year presumably best suited for someone who doesn't need as much hand holding. In between meetings Lauryn will email back and forth if the client finds there's questions or assistance he/she needs with the task/recommendations Lauryn's given. While I found myself in the middle, I chose option one. **Here's what really stood out to me about Worth Winning** Lauryn recognized that after four meetings I was at the point where I didn't need to meet with her on such a consistent basis, so she told me if I felt comfortable moving towards ad-hoc meeting I was in a good place in my financial plan to do so. She could have certainly dragged out the meetings to get the money, but I appreciated her honesty. It's for this reason I'm giving Lauryn and Worth Winning five starts.
