This stadium has three names... Almondvale Stadium - The City Stadium - The Energy Assets Arena.
I've been through the desert in a stadium with three names, it felt good to be out of my mind. In the desert you don't remember the stadium's names, and there ain't no one for to give Livingston a goal. La la lalalala.
First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've sadly only been to this stadium once, which was in September 2014. It was a lovely little venue, and I was surprised at how pristine and perfect the facilities are. It was only 9 years old at the time I visited, so that is probably why, and it's literally 5 minutes walk from the centre of the city of Livingston. I've seen them play live, but not at this stadium. However I've been in and around it and it's lovely and deserves four stars.
So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Also, when back in Scotland I plan to take more pix, and add more stadia! So watch this space!

This lovely bright yellow stadium in the new town of Livingston was built by Ken Livingston. Not.
It can hold 10k people, and only one corner is really open which is excellent and adds to the atmosphere. The stadium is right in the centre of town and is one of the nicest in Scotland. It opened in 1995. read more
