Every interaction with Rose has been completely off putting and unwelcoming. At Thursdays recital, pick up was a complete disaster. I was pushed by multiple parents and then THE OWNER looked me dead in the eyes and pushed me. The barrier the older students originally had up was no longer there and parents all had their kids. When I saw another mom I know with my daughter, I walked towards them. THE OWNER PUSHED ME AND SAID NO when other students were with their families. My daughter is 3 years old and short like me, so once I finally found her I wanted to get to her so she felt safe. I wasn't pushing anyone, running around, or acting aggressively in any way. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WOMAN LAID A HAND ON ME. The teachers are nice, but almost all staff who work the front desk have been too bothered for questions or any interaction. I grew up in a studio that felt like a community, this is NOT one of those places.

These classes at Inka also focus on good basics and gives students styling for both men and women. The teacher seems very relaxed and enjoys what he does which keeps everything relaxed. One thing that these classes offer that the previous didn't is that after class there is a DJ and an open dance floor with lighting so you can practice what you learned in class. And also because dancing is fun. I only go on Sunday evenings so that is all I have witnessed but it is the same teacher, Jorge Purizaca, for the whole weekend. I really like that there is a mix of ages here and most everyone is really nice and just there to enjoy themselves.

Only wish the teachers are more consistent- I dont like to be surprised when I show up expecting one teacher only to get another. There are certain teachers that are better in that they break down the steps and are energetic and encouraging, but then there are other teachers that expect you to be J-Lo and the Flygirls, which usually results in the students being confused and just standing there. Hopefully they can retain the better teachers and maintain the consistency that I'm looking for. Another thing is that the schedules seem to always change. I'm noticing its on a monthly basis, but it makes it hard to commit when the times keep changing.

I feel so much healthier, and the community here is so friendly. There's a great variety of styles, and the overall environment is welcoming whether you're newer to dance or more experienced. There are so many amazing instructors, but I try to never miss a class with Hanna (hip-hop). Her energy is so high and positive that it's honestly therapeutic. She's an incredible teacher who breaks down choreography in a way that makes it feel doable, even when it's challenging. I also really enjoy Loups (hip-hop) -- he's hilarious, great for fundamentals, and somehow always drops the best life advice. Also a special shoutout to Elm (hip-hop), Yuki & Brooke (K-pop), Maoka (house), and Adrianna (jazz funk) -- their classes are so much fun as well. One thing I really appreciate is their community app where they post the class videos. It is so helpful for looking back to see your progress and figuring out how to improve. It's right next to a KBBQ spot with a tiny lot that fills up fast, so I recommend street parking. If you've ever wanted to learn how to dance, this is the place to start! First class is free!

They have different promotions every month for each tier of their membership but I just did the lowest one cus it's $17 and I live very close by. I haven't used the gym to its full potential cus I'll only do stair master or a machine or two. I just cancelled my membership today bc I haven't been going and I rollerblade so that has been my work out. They charged me $17 to cancel my membership It was a good run, maybe I'll rejoin later. Also the ownership changed and the app doesn't work anymore which is kind of wack.
