Someone with my same name gave out my gmail, because they're too stupid to know what their own e-mail account is. After a year of this, and unsubscribing, and still getting emails, I called, couldn't get through, and hung up. I got a call back in minutes, and explained they needed to remove my email from this other person's records, because it's mine and I will never be a customer because I live in another part of the country. A day later, they started spamming me with sales texts. Mind you, I NEVER handed over my phone number, gave permission to call, or indicated interest in buying. YOU WILL REGRET EVER DOING BUSINESS HERE! I ignored all the bad reviews because we wanted a car that they had. We paid cash and ALM FAILED TO TURN OUR PAPERWORK INTO THE DMV FOR ALMOST 4 MONTHS. I called and stopped by repeatedly. There were always excuses. The manager Richard (and the one before him) wouldn't return calls and when we met in person there was excuse after excuse as to why they didn't send in the docs so my car could be driven legally. The DMV was even given the run around when they were kind enough to call the dealership themselves. Calls were sent to voicemail, no one was ever available to meet, and when I was lucky enough to get ahold of someone, they would lie about where the paperwork was. I even tracked down the hard to find corporate number (678-496-9594). No one ever answered my many calls and every mailbox was apparently full. To say this company is SHADY and UNPROFESSIONAL is an understatement. Such a frustrating and bizarre experience. I will be making a formal complaint to the DMV and the Secretary of State to hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else. I expect that they will respond with a myriad of excuses but trust my warning and shop anywhere but here. read more

Current Violations in a single day on June 14th, 2025 at ALM Preowned in Athens, GA (Yes, I will be writing Khush Bhatia regarding these events): Violation of FCRA 15 U.S.C to wit 1681b(f): ALM had no permission (actually denied permission) to do a hard credit pull. After I refused the numbers and killed the deal, the Sales Manager did a hard credit pull. Review Stergiopoulos V. First Midwest Bankcorp or Cole v. U.S Capital, inc for further explanation of the law. Georgia Law (OCGA to wit 51-7-20). Sales manager removed my car keys from my car and took them to his office to hold delaying my ability to exit the negotiations creating a coercive environment constituting a form of false imprisonment under Georgia tort law. Fraud and deceptive trade practices: (FBPA violations) OCGA state statute 10-1-393, ALM sales manager withheld information regarding a true breakdown of the branded title on a 2021 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 as well as illegally doing a hard pull, misrepresenting a soft pull while adding percentage points to offer through using PNC bank when I stated I was pre-authorized with Capital One Auto Finance. Conversion (Civil Theft) : removing keys from my vehicle without permission or legal authority for their benefit (to be used as a delay tactic to coerce through exhaustion) and violating OCGA state statute 51-10-1. Please note, Eli was a fantastic salesperson. The "best in the business" (labelled by his peers) sales manager was warned multiple times to what would lose the deal, instead, he lost 2 deals in the same day by his own illegal activities and he called me "boss", the one thing I warned everybody before and during my visit not to call me as I find it condescending and unprofessional. Terrible customer service. Josh lied to me about the price I was approved for to get me out to the dealership which is 2hrs away from my home. Manager escalated the situation and called me a racial slur. When I asked to speak to corporate a car salesman named Shannon impersonated a person from corporate so they would not be reported. This place is a total sham bordering on criminal. They misrepresent their vehicles, use preditory practices and sell warranties that they know cannot benefit their customers. I bought a used 2023 Chevy Trailblazer (40k miles) and made one payment before the Turbo went out. No, I didn't buy an additional warranty which probably wouldn't have covered it anyway and I have never bought an additional warranty because it's not necessary on a car that new. I've owned three chevy trailblazers and have never had a problem! Also, they put 2 quarts too much oil in it and my mechanic said it looked like they didn't even do an oil change. I did make the dealership aware.. I'm not saying any names but will never buy from them again.!! read more

First off, I showed up to see a truck that I had been looking at online for about a week, when I showed up the salesman said that vehicle was sold. There were multiple people call me prior to getting there and no one took the initiative to tell me this beforehand. Mind you I live two hours away and work daily, as a service member. So this hindrance was unbecoming of an organization that I remained in contact with to even setup a time to see the vehicle. The initial salesperson, Dexter wasn't around and had someone else do the job, which is fine but when he returned to work I never got a call back I found myself calling multiple times to get any answers because he was "busy". Every time I was told "it will be around five minutes and I'll give you a call back" that never happened. The dealership agreed to purchase all weather floor mats to add to my very expensive purchase and ship them to my home. Apparently the truck so conveniently didn't have any at all "ever". In a brand new 2022 vehicle. I made this purchase on February 22nd 2025, and to this day I do not have my floor mats. I was told allow two weeks to get them to me and it has been way more. When they finally got my mats in that no one had an idea where they were supposed to go and never supplied me with any tracking number or update until weeks later, there was confusion and a lack of communication about how they're getting to me. So now I have called again today, twice and no one has returned my call or given me an update. Poor customer service and lack of integrity on the so called businesses part. Poor dealings and unacceptable behavior from employees. The manager Nubian ensured this would get done and out to me and I am sick of waiting and not getting any updates on where my floor mats are. read more

Very bad car dealership wouldn't recommend buying anything from them.Got a vehicle from them and seems like they did no type of service on it except change the tires.I noticed they charged me for the tires after they said they was going to take care of it.Also got extra fees that I did not need or asked for. I waited 4 days to get my car and they didn't do NOTHING to it except change the tires.NO OIL CHANGE, NO NEW FILTERS, NOT EVEN DETAILED. They have a awful team at that dealership.Now they don't want to refund me and I'm not going to pay for stuff they didn't do.ONCE AGAIN WOULDN'T RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THEM. If anyone has problems with them you should contact and file a complaint with ALM and the state agency that runs that dealership. read more

I wouldn't trust what they say. I sent a deposit and received a sale agreement just for ALM Athens to still sell the vehicle to someone else a day before it was supposed to be shipped. That is after I went through the loan process with my bank, mailed them the check. Now I have to cancel that loan, absorb all those expenses, look for another vehicle, and go through the process again. Not trustworthy. read more

I purchased a Jeep Gladiater in September 2024. I have yet to have my tag switched over. I have called and requested this be done 9 different times, speaking with management 6 of those times. Last week I spoke with a male manager whom wqas very disrespectful. I informed the manager of my dissappointment and he stated, "We are going to start this conversation out again with positive vibes." I informed him that I needed help with my tag and taxes (taxes werent paid by ALM but I paid them for the taxes). He then went on to ignore me and said, "Hi, my name is ___ from ALM in a very disrespectful tone. I simply said that is was not necessary for him to treat me this way as they have a legal right to carry out their procedures. He then hung up on me. I will be reporting them to every entity possible until I get the service i PAID FOR, beginning with BBB... They have met their match. This dealership messed up the prices and made us resign a contract. We bought a vehicle a few weeks ago and traded in two vehicles that were both financed. Which we have text as proof they knew. We didn't want to sit at the dealership all day and took the paperwork to the credit union on our own so we could bring them the check which is what we have done for the last 3 vehicles we bought. A week later the finance guy / general manger calls from a private line telling us we didn't finance enough and they need another 20k. The guy then threats to report the vehicle stolen and is overall belligerent and cussing at my husband on the phone when he is told no. We agreed to 59 and the two cars , not 80k and two vehicles. This isn't a small amount of money and our budget never allowed for more than this amount. Come to find out they screwed up and left the payoff on one of the vehicles off. Then the other finance guy calls and tells us that we told them to leave the car off, which doesn't even make sense. Why would we give you a car as a trade and say leave it off. Then we asked for corrected paper work and they refuse to send it to us. All the paper work was signed over a week ago. The craziest part is that they said they would call the cops and say it's stolen. Stolen from who ... the credit union owns it ! I have never in my life had an experience like this before. read more

Very shady business tactics. They claim to price match, then try to get you to pay a significantly higher price up front even if you've shown a less expensive option elsewhere by claiming they will cut you a check after the fact. If you do not agree to this, they will come up with every reason in the book to not price match and make you pay significantly more for a vehicle. They were selling a 2015 Lexus NX200T. I provided a listing for a 2017 NX200T that was more updated with more features, 3000 less miles and $6000 cheaper. Also provided the carfax showing it was clear carfax. After all was said and done they came bag and gave an extremely bogus reason why they would not be able to price match. A vehicle not being "certified" should not justify a $6000 price difference.
