She also understood my situation with the time difference and kindly adjusted her schedule to accommodate my needs by moving our consultation to an earlier time. During the treatment process, I was quite concerned about my low egg count, but Dr. Armstrong took the time to carefully explain my condition and the purpose of each medication, which helped reassure me. She also adjusted my medication dosage based on how my body responded. In the end, thanks to her attentive care, the result exceeded my expectation.

While all of the care providers at Kindbody SM are wonderful, from our first call, I immediately felt at ease with her positive, friendly, and warm demeanor. She answered every question I had and made me feel heard and understood. When I experienced some challenges along the way, she acted immediately to mitigate any issues that might derail the entire process I had just gone through. Naturally, I was stressed and overwhelmed, but after speaking with me on the phone, walking me through what was happening, and assuring me that I was still in a good place to move forward with retrieval, I felt calmer. She continued to call and message me to check in and provided positive thoughts and affirmations. Once my retrieval was complete, she was thrilled to see my positive outcome and shared in my excitement! I honestly could not have asked for a better doctor throughout what is an overwhelming and delicate process.

The destination is my wholehearted belief that Dr…read more Mia DiJulio is a brilliant physician and a caring, compassionate caregiver, and that I canNOT recommend her enough. So for the tl;dr crew, you can stop here. For more details...I'm in the rare position of writing a review of my amazing OB-GYN without having a baby to show for it. I've never been pregnant, it's the opposite: I've struggled for years with my busted babymaker. I've BEGGED previous doctors to get it out of me. I watched as my mother nearly bled to death in an ER before having hers removed in a frantic emergency operation. For years I saw various specialists, sitting in office after office surrounded by pregnant bellies and collages on the wall of all the beautiful babies the doctors in those offices had delivered. Societal patriarchy plus the necessary overabundance of caution from medical professionals on irreversible procedures meant trying all sorts of things and having my experience of menstrual bleeding most (!) days either minimized or outright dismissed. Again, patriarchy. Generally speaking, women's reproductive health is not treated in a way that expresses anything but contempt for women, and specifically speaking there are, unfortunately, female practitioners who uphold archaic parameters as enthusiastically as certain male ones. "You'll change your mind"/"Having a baby one day will be worth it" etc. So, we've got sexism and medical patriarchy. Next stop? Racism! I am a Black woman and racial bias in medical education and training is a hideous byproduct of overall systemic racism that many people are working to address and undo. It is a fact that Black women have disproportionately higher maternal death rates than our counterparts. So, while ideally any doctor has an awareness of these things, the stakes are profoundly higher as an OB-GYN. And yes, this all matters. Because Dr. DiJulio (who to my knowledge has no African ancestry), has made me feel seen, heard, and cared for from minute one. I sit here now with no uterus anymore, nearly 2 months after she performed a laparoscopic hysterectomy. A hysterectomy is major surgery to begin with (trust me, I've done my research!) and doing it laparoscopically is even more complicated. Massive kudos to Dr. DiJulo's colleague Dr. Klara Vogel, the first doctor I saw at the WONDERFUL Providence St. John's Physician Partners Santa Monica Women's Health office, who referred me to Dr. DiJulio right away because of her expertise with this specific type of surgery. Of course the aim was for a laparoscopic procedure, but I know that with the size of my fibroids, there's still a chance I'd wake up to find they'd had to "open me up" with a large incision. Nope! I have 2 tiny incisions and a painless empty space where my cursed reproductive organs used to be. For the record, I've always wanted to have a family and I still pray that God may bless me with a child to love, however that child enters this world. And I'm aware that part of me finally having the surgery is that my chronological age has caught up with childbearing prime years. It means so much to me that Dr. DiJulio has always held space for the complicated state of feeling like I'm the only person at the OB-GYN who'll never leave there with a baby. But that's the thing - I may have felt that way but the reality is there are more of us than we could ever know, because the many complications of our reproductive systems are not talked about as freely as the miracle of childbirth. There are so many things chalked up to "female trouble" that are serious medical conditions for which there actually is treatment and relief, in the right hands. Those hands belong to Dr. Mia DiJulio, the Beyonce of OB-GYNs. She didn't deliver my baby, she delivered me from suffering. And I am eternally grateful.

I feel incredibly lucky that she was my OB/GYN throughout my entire pregnancy. From the very beginning, I always felt that I was in the best possible hands. She is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, calm, and genuinely invested in both her patients and their babies. I trusted her completely. My baby decided to arrive earlier than expected, and unfortunately Dr. Kiseleva was not able to be physically present for my delivery. But even from a distance, she continued to be there for me and made important medical decisions that had a profound impact on both my life and my baby's life. Knowing that she was still involved and looking out for us gave me so much reassurance during an incredibly stressful and emotional time. I truly believe Dr. Kiseleva is a gifted physician -- the kind of doctor you hope to have when something as important as your pregnancy and your baby's life is in her hands. She combines outstanding medical knowledge with compassion, intuition, and genuine care. I absolutely adore her and will forever be grateful for everything she did for me and my baby. I cannot recommend Dr. Kiseleva highly enough. She is simply an extraordinary doctor and an amazing human being.

The visit was to set up the polyp removal surgery. The office was also trying to push me to do Ultrasound which i didn't need because had a recent one and they were threatening not to see me without it. Thanks Gos I was strong enough to decline this and insisted to be seen. After the visit, the claim was processed as out-of-network, and I was billed $800 for a doctor's visit!!!!! At the time bill arrived they were already pressing me to proceed with surgery although i had a concer with that bill. I thought it is just a mistake as i called and confirmed with my insurance again and they said that the provider is in network. I even got the prior authorization for my surgery confirmed which got me into even more confusion! (Later the provider said that prior authorization was just a mistake...) Right before the surgery when they already pressed me to have labs and physicial visit and was pushing me for the surgery I finally got to someone from their billing department who confirmed that they are out of network and have 2 different Tax IDs that they use to submit bills. Apparently they are using out of network ID, but they still have in network ID which they don't really use but it creates a huge confusion for patients/insurance and leads to the surprise bills! The person at billing was very rude to me! I was so vulnerable as this surgery was very important and I already had everything set up. I had to cancel everything, delaying my medical ussies and ended up with this huge $800 bill and other bills from physician and labs that were useless at this point. I was trying to talk to provider asking for exclusion, one-time honor, in-network adjustments or at least decent discounts. They are not responding to that saying that i should talk to my insurance!!! I filed multiple appeals with my insurance, and they denied because of the out-of network tax ID. I sent a second level appeal, and while this dispute is still pending, the office continues to send me bills and threats of collections. This puts patients in an unfair and stressful position! I was completely misled by both - insurance and provider and left without treatment I needed but with a huge bill! I believe it is unfair to hold patients responsible for someone elses mistakes! I did all that i could possibly do to confirmed in network status with both parites prior to my visit! I respectfully ASK THE OFFICE to RESOLVE this situation fairly and withdraw the balance billing. Patients should be able to rely on accurate information you are giving and fair treatment from their providers!!!! I have filed a complaint with the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) if the Provider will not take actions, I will escalate with the DMHC, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and other consumer-protection agencies! Please let's respectfully resolve this directly with your office!

It was extremely sad for me to lose this pregnancy. We'd been trying for two years with a fertility clinic. On top of that, I was weak and tired from two weeks of brutal morning sickness. I was a new patient just calling Dr. Klevens based on reviews, and my experience was five stars. FAST AND COORDINATED. I called on a Tuesday. Though extremely busy, her adept and communicative staff fit me in to see Dr. Klevens NEXT DAY. At my Wednesday appointment, Dr. Klevens was able to schedule me for a 7am D&C on Friday. Within 36 hours, I had a COVID test, surgery, and was back on my feet feeling well again. COLLABORATIVE. Dr. Klevens used my medical records from my fertility clinic so we didn't need to repeat tests. She was the first doctor to ask about diagnostic testing on my previous miscarriages, however far back. PREVENTATIVE. Dr. Klevens immediately began putting together the bigger puzzle of my situation. She took notes on my prior miscarriages, requested any available test records on them, and ran diagnostic testing on my current miscarriage. HIGH QUALITY IMAGING. The ultrasound images taken here were the most clear I've seen. GREAT HOSPITAL. The surgery at St. John's was a breeze. I felt like I was at the Four Season's (not the landscaping co;) Everyone was so informative. There was a refreshing sense of humor about the place. People really went the extra mile to communicate and do things right. EFFECTIVE. My surgery with Dr. Klevens was smooth and on schedule. When I woke up, I immediately felt better than I had in weeks. The side effects of the surgery were trivial: mild indigestion from the anesthesia and minimal bleeding. Post-op, I was able to go home and work a full work day on my computer for the first time in weeks! I ate full meals without puking! I exercised! My body returned from surgery so much better than when it went in. No longer worried about survival, I was able to take the entire weekend to grieve our loss with my partner in peace. That's the difference that getting me in on Friday meant. We got time to heal. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Dr. Klevens and every doctor and nurse and staff at the office and St. John's who helped me. I was so sick and you fully healed me so quickly and smartly, I'm so grateful, thank you. We are looking forward to delivering a healthy baby with you someday:)

(SCREENSHOTS ATTACHED) -- I don't even know where to start with how upsetting my experience has been with Dr. Bickman's office has been. July 2026 was an rollercoaster of financial burden, emotional toil that came as a result of my interaction with this practice. What makes it more enraging was how mundane my first experience with Dr. Bickman in 2025 was. A $45 copay for my first check-up, I felt comfortable returning here in '26 after experiencing some physical discomfort in my cervical area. I called in prior to the appointment, seeing if I could reschedule due to personal circumstances that happened at an inopportune time. They cited $150 for a late reschedule fee. Sure -- fine, I'll drive & suck it up to show up. What I wasn't expecting as I checked in at their front desk... was to acknowledge their $1K administrative fee caged in between a stack of papers I had to sign. Front desk did not acknowledge the "contract" until I brought it up. (also is it $1K for everyone? Or does it differ based on patient? I see a few folks here recently getting a different number on Yelp...). I'm a 25 year old making minimum wage salary with abdominal pain relating to my prior cervical issues. You want me to pay an $1K admin fee on top of the lab scan / ultrasound fee? No amount of sickly sweet nothings the front desk ladies tried to masquerade this "fee" as was enough to pacify my inner hysteria. I should've stood up for myself and self-advocated to GTFOH. But no, being in a vulnerable state and trusting what I thought were women who knew better, I obliged and went into the patient room. It was 30 minutes of waiting for Dr. Bickman -- who now I presume is always fashionably late, based off of Yelp reviews -- to show up when it dawned on me what an scam this entire practice was. I gather my items and attempt to leave and opt to suck up the $150 cancellation fee only to realize that they had already charged me $500 of the $1K payment plan without any services being rendered yet. Oh also, did I mention, I couldn't afford the entire $1K administrative payment upfront? So in their "good faith", they opted for a $500 downpayment. But in their words, clearly, to step foot in that office again, I had to complete the $500 downpayment. Safe to say, I'm not going near this practice anytime soon.
