I'm having so much fun with my pole dancing class!! I've always said I was going to take lessons and decided last month to just go for it. I heard about Allure Dance from a couple of people and read some reviews but it was the website and the introduction video by the owner that got me to sign up for my first class. In a way her story resonated with me and I said if she could do it then so could I. She was compelling, warm, and inviting. She made pole dancing seem like therapy and since joining I've discovered it very much is. I look forward to my classes each week. Before signing up for my first class I browsed the website and got a really thorough feel for the place. The Q & A section answered many of my questions. Signing up was easy. The step by step instructions are very easy to comprehend. I signed up for one of their Saturday morning classes and got there 15 minutes early to fill out paper work. That's when I met Andrea, one of the instructors. I knew off the bat that she was the instructor because the way she moved around the front office commanded respect. She was awesome. She made me feel welcomed and confident even though I felt really awkward at times. After that first class I was sold! My body felt stronger, I felt amazing, and after meeting some of the other students and hearing their success stories I knew this is where I wanted to be. I have a new respect for pole dancing and dancers. These women are physically and mentally fit and strong which is what I want for my mind and body. I got a complete work out and had major fun doing it in a sexy, alluring, way. A couple of days later I signed up with their Unlimited Membership and was allowed to use my first class payment towards my new membership. I wish that I could literally give them zero stars First off. The address is for a tattoo shop. I booked a class through Groupon and when I got to the address they sent me IT WAS A TATTOO SHOP! Then when I tried to call the phone number they emailed me. It was also the wrong number. So then I had to search on google for a phone number to at least one of the studios in Orlando. When I called it was an automated message pretty much saying that no one is going to answer the phone so any info I needed I could find on their website or I can just text them and they will get back to me. Also, when I called the number an "digital assistant" texted me asking what I needed. One of the options was "get Human" and when I press that option, they said that someone will call me back and to give them my phone number. So basically this entire studio is ran by literally no one and their customer service does not exist. And when I thought I found the right studio (with literally no help from anyone) it was closed, even though the closing time was 9pm and it was 7. I had a class booked at 8pm. Honestly find a studio that can actually answer a phone. I have literally never been to a place that has an automated message telling the people calling that they only answer through text. Let me start by saying our instructor was a sweetheart and very patient with our group. My friends were looking for a pole fitness class and I found Allure. Their website was not working, so I called to find out about drop on classes. I got their answering machine which prompted me to text a number for more info. Whoever I then texted send me a link for the MINDBODY app and told me to sign up for the class there. On the app the pole fitness class was called "virgin" pole fitness and said it was a beginner class. The description was very detailed in saying the class was great for beginners and listed all the basic techniques we would learn. It also said we could rent shoes for $5 to use for the class. We got there and noticed inside the studio was very warm. We met with the instructor who jumped right into the class. No mention of shoe rental or anything. The instructor told us to go to a pole. We attempted to follow the instructors moves, but it was so fast paced we got lost. Halfway through the instructor asked if this was our first class and we all said yes. She says "oh no you should have taken a beginner or pole party class." We explained to her when we registered it said this class was a beginner class and she told us it wasn't it was actually her advanced class. She then worked with us one on one for the rest of the class. Afterwards since we had no shoes and had to do the class barefoot our feet were BLACK from the floor. While this was going on my one friend started to sweat profusely. She asked the instructor if she could turn the air down and she said "I would, but I'm not allowed to touch the AC." I walked over to look at the AC and it said 83! Half way through the class my friend had to walk outside and almost passed out from the heat inside the studio. The instructor saved the class for us. Between the having to text a number for more information to the app not being correct the entire experience was less then thrilling. read more

I was - like any woman might be - totally scared and nervous to attend a class here. However, the website was really great at setting my expectations and explaining what the class was going to be like. The location is great, even though it is rather far from my house. The decor is adorable - super girly - and it's really very clean. They sell Allure emblemed goodies, which I will absolutely buy next time I'm there. My instructor was great. She was patient and made me feel comfortable right away. She had a great playlist and took her time showing us proper movement and how to shake what our mamas gave us. She even took questions at the end of the class. This place is comfortable. A real woman (of whatever shape, size and age) can go here to find or revitalize her inner sexy and also get a great workout. (My poor rear!) I thought it would feel more like a place in which veteran strippers go to get a brush-up on their skills. I'm so glad it's not. The first class is free - so it's definitely worth the try! If you decide not to get a membership, classes are frequent and rather inexpensive so you can pick and choose...which is probably what I'm going to do. read more

So I found a groupon and a few of my friends and I decided to try it out (mostly for the yoga). Our class was taught by Traci, she honestly was 99% of the reason I decided to join - I love her classes! However, since then I have had my work schedule changed and it seems to be that not a lot of the classes (aerial yoga) are offered that often and at times that aren't at night. I would suggest maybe offering more morning classes. Also, the membership I bought I guess is only for yoga (from my understanding there is more than one type of membership) which is tough since my work changed - maybe expanding the memberships to have the opportunity to try everything. So this part is my edit - it went from a 4 star to a 2 star because I cannot stand companies that nickel and dime you and this is one of them. As a student my income varies so I had emailed them asking to cancel my membership - they gave the option of just placing my membership on hold for $10 a month instead of the $59. I thought okay no problem, I can do that - well graduating shortly I decided to just cancel my membership - sent an email requesting a cancellation and never got a response back. The other day I was looking at my bank account and had a $59 charge to my account. I emailed them asking why I was now charged this after having a $10 monthly charge now it went back to $59. She explained that this was in an agreement so I asked for a copy, oh wait its a $15 charge for a copy! So to sum it up, its one charge after another after another. And if you go to terminate your agreement you need a 30-day notice (I have only seen 30-day notices when I was working for a property management company - not any personal companies). I am almost positive there are many other places that offer more classes at a much more reasonable price. Try and find another place, don't bother giving them your money. read more

I love this place!!!!!! I have to tell you, I hate the GYM! Like so many, I've joined and quit, joined and quit...Gym after gym throughout the years. Recently I realized and simply owned the fact that I am bored with all the traditional gym offers and represents. (Treadmill hampster feeling, urgh!) ENTER ALLURE DANCE STUDIO FOR WOMEN!! I have been saved from the certain destiny that was before me....overweight!! At Allure I am able to shimmy, squat, dance and roll my way to the best body ever!! The classes are amazing and you get to choose from a large selection. Whatever you like...it's there! Belly Dancing, Pole Dancing....TAKE A POLE CLASS, you will have a new found respect for strippers! LOL! The class is challenging and will give you a MAJOR workout...full body workout at that! My arms are crying out for help and clapping from excitement of knowing how awesome they will look in a tank top this summer"-) Catch one of Allison's classes if you can...she is my favorite"-) But all the instructors are really good"-) I am a huge fan of EVA'S ZUMBA CLASSES!!! I will give this place two stars for prompt responses via text about the beginner pole dance class i decided to take. Although before i chose Allure i viewed many of the comments and saw a lot of mixed reviews. I must say i have to agree with a lot of the reviews unfortunately. The floors were dirty, shelves were dusty and especially during these times you'd expect this place to be impeccable. Instead of proper hand soap, only a bottle of hand sanitizer was provided in the bathroom. Also, as read in other reviews the place was SUPER hot. Not set at a comfortable temperature at all. The instructor explained the A/C was not on prior and that she came to the class to turn it on earlier in the day. Yet somehow it was totally off prior to our arrival? I wouldn't say we got the warmest welcome ever. And the instructor wasn't very personable. And certainly not beginner friendly. I was looking for something beginner friendly...not intermediate. The instructor also made a comment at the end of class "if you're just gonna stand there you might as well leave now". Not exactly motivational. I would not return to this studio, unless they offered a true beginner friendly class and an instructor that was a bit more polite. read more

Allure Dance is awesome mostly due to the staff and not being too crowded with members yet. The instructors are great dancers and the owner and studio manager are really nice, and the women who come to learn are all fun and friendly. The studio is in the adorable College Park neighborhood and the interior is cute and spacious. Classes include all varieties of pole dancing, and also piyo, zumba, hip hop, cardio, and many more. Nothing is ever just plain working out, there's always a fun twist. Definitely a great women's gym where you can be comfortable and get fit while having sooo much fun!! read more

First thoughts leaving the intro to pole dancing class was I definitely have to go back! The owner and decor is so inviting that I immediately felt at home and was able to enjoy the moves. All women are beautiful and the classes here at Allure help bring out the sexy in you. I would recommend wearing shorts and something comfy because you will be moving!! Although the class was an hour, it felt like it went by so fast!! I though at first, maybe this was too easy but as I was driving home I could feel the soreness in my muscles . This was an amazing workout and I will be getting a membership so I can come back and do this every week! Btw the way there is more than just pole, there is aerial yoga (which I'm interested to try) and also other classes. They have a schedule on their webpage. The facility was clean, and I really liked that once you had a pole, it was yours. There was no switching or sharing poles. Allure Dance has made me addicted to pole fitness! I quit the gym and started coming here for my fitness routine. It makes me feel happy, sexy, and empowered, and I have already started shedding pounds. The instructors are totally knowledgeable and friendly, and really take the time to break down each move bit by bit. They always have a great playlist, you never share poles with anyone else, and it's always fun. They also sell adorable shoes, clothes, and other stuff. This place is awful!!! The only reason people write good things about Allure is because they make you do it from their computer to "win" things! It shouldn't be called pole fitness, It should be called a stripper class! They do nothing but stripper moves. except for Tara. Tara is an amazing instructor! But she never works. The owner is awful and could care less about anything but herself!! I've only been to vixen once, but let me say, the studio is cleaner, the staff is better and they clean their floors!! My two girlfriends and I bought Living Social deal for 4 pole classes. I was really excited to try a new place out especially since the College Park location was convenient for me. I had taken pole classes before and wanted to get back into it. My plan was to take one beginner class to refresh and then move on. The Living Social deal said approval was required for advanced classes which I figured would not be a problem. I was wrong. I will start at the beginning. We went to register for our first class and then received an e-mail that there was a $5 tax that we would have to pay that was not included in the Living Social deal. This was not listed anywhere on the deal. I tried to contact the owner who was very short and did not care about our concerns. Then I tried to register for an intermediate class after taking the beginner one. The owner said the only way I could take anything besides the beginner class was to join their program. Before I came in I asked if I could make my pole static for class because, I liked that better. I was told sure and that would not be a problem. Well, the teacher for my first class said no and that it would "confuse" the class if my pole was static. The lady at the front desk was overwhelmed and took so long to take care of us that we missed 15 minutes of class. We had even gotten there 15-20 minutes early to ensure enough time to sign in. The teacher was rude and short. She was not friendly at all and did not make us feel good. She spent most of the class teaching a routine instead of spins which we really wanted to learn and work on. The reason for my three star review is for the other two teachers I had after the first two classes. The teacher that taught the Contemporary Pole class was great. She was very kind and encouraging, as a teacher should be. The second Intro. teacher I had, Rhi, was also awesome. She was very fun and cared about helping us. She taught us a lot of great spins and combos and not just worked on a routine the whole class. She asked us what we wanted to learn and catered the class to that. I have really enjoyed the yoga classes at this studio. Ashtanga, hot yoga, vinyasa, and aerial are all great. The teachers are great, however, some of the staff is rude. Whenever I have had questions, they have always been unknowledgeable and short with me. I am always very polite so there is no reason for this. Also, their cancellation policy is ever changing. It used to be $5 if you did not cancel within 4 hours. Now it is $7 if you do not cancel within 24 hours. I have called due to extreme circumstances to cancel and have not received any communication back. As a member (pay monthly, no groupon or livingsocial deal), I should be notified of these changes but have not received any emails. I love the classes, however, the management of this studio may make me leave. read more

This was true, however, they never told me that I could get kicked over and over by the girls next to me. I started coming here back in May with a Groupon for 3 Pole classes, and after the first class-I was hooked! I used the remaining monetary amount to go towards a six month unlimited membership. There are two pole widths, the poles in the back row are narrower than the other two rows (I prefer the smaller one; I have small hands). Now, I should preface this by saying that I've never been particularly strong in my upper body and believe me, the first few classes are daunting, but if you stick with it, the results are awesome! I saw how all the girls were swinging around the poles with grace and ease and I was determined to be able to do the same! But it does come with its growing pains, including (but not limited to): bruises, blisters, callouses and that pole burn! But, just think of it as something everyone endures and I promise that it becomes something everyone talks/jokes about. Most of the classes are in the evening, which is good because it gives you freedom to choose ones after working hours. With the unlimited membership, I take several classes a day (I tend to stack them back to back). I enjoy taking the Booty & Abs/Stretching/Pole 1 classes with Kathie. She's hilarious and whips your butt into shape! Her classes are fast paced and give you the cardio workout your body needs to be able to climb up and down those poles or! You'll start looking forward to feeling that burn! Haha! I also look forward to Jess's "Rock Out" class for Intro to Pole. She begins the class with cardio and squats to warm up and then teaches two to three spins and puts them together in a routine that you get to practice with music. I love going back to the intro classes to perfect my spins and work them into routines. Honestly, this place is great and I look forward to my daily workouts during the week. I bought a groupon and its a bit confusing... I thought I could use my 8 classes for aerial yoga or intro to pole, meaning break it up 5 pole 3 yoga or whatever but what it means is 8 yoga or 8 pole. They did let us try one yoga class and use the rest for pole. However that was only after I advised I would write a negative review here and the desk clerk asked I write a positive review with her name mentioned. Which I did and now after using my groupon many times am here to edit that review to a realistic rating. Aerial yoga was great, much different than the yoga I'm used to but so much fun. Pole classes were fun but didn't really like the music selection, come on and get a mix already! Also during the weekend they don't always have someone at the front desk so if you are running late there is a chance you could get locked out. read more

I was in search of a new place to call my Zumba home and used yelp to lead me to Allure Dance. PROS: -Online registration. Their website was easy to use and I was able to reserve a spot for a Zumba class (did not have pay in advance, either). -All women. Going to the gym that can be intimidating as it is; so taking men out of the picture helps a whole lot. -Instructor. I only attended one class with Eva, but she was very enthusiastic, positive, and had a real strong connection with the women in her class. She wasn't glued to her spot in the front center, but moved around. There were clearly a lot of regulars in the room because they kept the routine going while she meandered around the room, cheering us on. I'd say on a scale of 1 - 10 in terms of difficulty, her class was a 7. CONS: -Parking. It took me a few times circling the blocks around Allure Dance to find an open spot on the street. -Space. I have never before felt so claustrophobic while doing Zumba. I'd guess there were about 20 women in the space in addition to the instructor and the room was filled with poles! I think taking the poles out of the picture, we would have been fine, but I found myself always worrying if I'd bump into the woman in front of me or the pole to my right. Wasn't an ideal space for Zumba. I'm not sure if this is where it is regularly held or not. -Storage. There were only small cubbies in the main lobby for storage of your purse / keys. If I had known there were no lockers, I would have left the purse in the car; instead, I spent my whole class wondering if my purse would be there when I returned. Anyone could just reach in, snatch it, and leave. Also, it was a little awkward reaching under the legs of a woman tying up her thigh-high boots for the pole-dancing class after Zumba in order to retrieve my belongings. I got the sense a lot of the women loved it here, but I didn't necessarily see myself returning anytime soon and wanted to provide a different perspective to the yelp community compared with what I had read prior to my visit. read more

Used a Groupon for a Level 2 pole class after receiving clearance from one of the employees to do so. The class was fair -- the instructor (Alexandra) was nice but the pole space left much to want. There were too many poles in a cramped space. The individuals on the back and front poles kicked the walls if they weren't careful. To my surprise, after the class I received an e-mail from an unnamed employee who stated that I could NOT take any class other than Intro because that is what the Groupon voucher states. I reviewed my Groupon and the fine print and that language was no where within the fine print. So I corresponded with the employee again (who I would assume is the owner) and the she said that I needed to get clearance from her before I could take any other classes. I asked how I could get the clearance, as I did not have any use for Intro pole classes, and that if I could not get the clearance, I would like a refund. She told me to pursue a refund through Groupon. I am offended by this type of customer service and have filed for a refund via Groupon. read more

Beware of their abuse of power as they hold your credit card information. I had a sudden job offer and had to move, and was enraged to find that they would still charge me for another month of membership, even though I left at the end of my paid-for month. They would not make any exceptions. I was unaware of their 30-day cancellation policy. I have been robbed, and think less of a place that does this to people. read more

I started at allure in january of this year, and I immediately fell in love with pole. I worked really hard to get into the intermediate class, and accomplished this. The classes offered here are very awesome and are a guarantee to make you lose weight and gain muscle. Believe me coming here was one of the best decisions, saying this the reason I did not give it five stars, would have to be mostly because of the owner and the staff. I did have a lot of issues with payments and money, sometimes they would overcharge me which they did the first month, even though I was very clearly told that there was one free week of allure with every yoga girl purchase. You see I didn't start out at allure I started out at yoga girls, which is allure's hybrid. They have two separate memberships, unless you get the all included which is a bit pricey. If you do the yoga girl membership then you cannot do pole or any allure classes, this is why I transferred my membership to allure. (Believe me this was a big problem and confusion, especially for the girl at the front, I understand she was new, but when it comes to dealing with other people's money, you better be sure of what you are doing before charging). I would like to say that the instructors here are very good and they really help you in learning. They are very good with timid girls, I did take a friend here who was very reluctant to trying out pole, and although she found it challenging because she is so shy, she did love it and is dying to try it again. Like I said the only issue I have really had here, is the overcharging and confusion with payments, and sometimes the girl in the front not really knowing what she is doing. read more

I bought a Groupon for an 80 minute massage and foot scrub. It was a pretty good deal, and after I checked out their website, I was excited to see that they have monthly memberships and offer massages, yoga, and other stuff! However, my excitement quickly ended... I left a couple of voicemails and e-mails before finally being contacted back by someone to make an appointment. You will NEVER be able to just call there and have someone answer the phone. They do return calls and e-mails within a day, but it's nice to be able to call a business and be able to ask questions and get info. I work during the day, so it's not like I can sit by my phone or e-mail to wait for them to respond. After being able to speak to someone, I told them that I live in Maitland and that I'm looking for the Edgewater location, not Ocoee. The girl on the phone told me that the massage therapist was booked up and then she was going on vacation. They weren't taking any more appointments until she returned. Well, now it's been a few weeks, so I tried calling again. This is when they informed me that the massage therapist quit and that they were only offering the other location (Ocoee) and that the massage therapist is only available 4 days a week and 2-3 hours each of those days. I was going to try to book there, but they told me it would have to be in mid-March. I guess they only have 1 person that is qualified to do this service, however, they've sold over 900 Groupons. I have no idea how they are going to be able to accommodate all of those customers by the time the Groupons expire in April. The sad part is that they are still available for purchase! I have requested a refund for my Groupon and I've also suggested that their offer be removed from the Groupon website since they obviously can't even handle the customers they do have. All in all, I'm sorry that I was unable to get the service I purchased at the location that was advertised, because I think I could have liked it. read more

The owner was rude, and not very accommodating. No matter how much previous experience you have in pole they require you to start at the very basic intro class. The facility was pretty nice. I liked the amount of poles they provided. The instructor Rhi was amazing. I definitely recommend her. I tried to rent a pole for a house party, but one of the owners mistakenly brought it to the furthest location from me. I drove to the location I scheduled to pick it up at to find that she left it else wear. She was unwilling to bring it to either of the 2 locations closer to me. I would recommend this place because of the classes they offer. I would also check out other options in the area. read more

Allure Dance is THE place to be! I love going. I'm not a big gym fan and this is just the right amount of cardio/strength and sexiness all in one. You will get your workout on! I look forward to going to Allure every week. The decor is super girly, hot pink and black, who doesn't love those colors!? The wall of shoes is amazing and so much fun to try on. Classes fill up fast. I love how each pole instructor brings her own kind of flair to the class and pushes you to do your best. This studio really is as good as it gets. I've always been interested in pole fitness, I even bought a pole for my home years ago with the desire to learn. (Needless to say, that didn't go over very well). What I didn't have an interest in was all of the other fitness varieties that Allure Dance has to offer, that I had no prior knowledge of! Allure not only taught me the fundamentals(& more!) of pole but it introduced me to other ridiculously fun exercise methods like using the Lyra, aerial silks, yoga on silks etc! There are so many classes to choose from it's doesn't get boring like going to the gym. The owner teaches sometimes, too, which I think is really cool! It shows her dedication & commitment..she's very sincere! Had a blast at Allure Dance recently hosting a bachelorette party. Making arrangements was so easy even though I was doing it from across the country. KK answered all my questions quickly and put my mind at ease. Natalie was our instructor and I can't say enough good things about her...warm, funny, great teacher, and an amazing dancer. She taught us an entire routine incorporating both pole and burlesque and the hour and a half flew by. Now I need to find a similar studio near me- it's a bit addicting- very fun and since we were all a little sore the next day I know it's a good workout. Thanks KK and Natalie. read more

This instructors are great, but the studio space is not. The poles are to close to each other and the walls. They are also not tall enough. Other classes tend to be cancelled due to low attendance or have been short on needed equipment. read more

I really enjoy coming out for pole class. The facility is wonderful, and I enjoy most of the staff and instructors. It is a bit pricey when they could offer some more flexibility with pricing/packages. Before I purchased a membership the women at the front desk was more than a little pushy trying to get me to join, and it made me uncomfortable. Now that I am a member, I enjoy going in, though I probably will have to cancel my membership at some point due to the very steep price. Overall it was a great way to try something new, and very fun. read more
