I was happy initially with my service at Allure. There wasn't much parking so the nail techs allowed me and my mom to park behind them. That was great. We had made an appointment at 3pm on a Tuesday after asking for the best time. We were not sat until after 3:20pm which was frustrating. I had one nail with a little crack so they put some hot glue on which cost a tiny bit extra. I did gel and got a design on one finger on each hand. I did love my nail tech at seat 10 and allowed her to freestyle the flowers on my accent nails. The pricing was good and once we started, the process was pretty quick. Unfortunately, 3/10 of my nails chipped or cracked within 9 days of getting my nails done. This is super frustrating as I tip well and expect them to last at least 3 weeks. I paid $45 which is great pricing plus a $10 tip but the fact that they chipped after less than two weeks ruined it for me. I don't love the builder gel but feel like you need to get it for your nails to last here. Unfortunately, after the long wait and the gel not lasting at all, I do not think I will come back. I had high hopes for this small business but they didn't deliver, I even paid for the upgraded "Spa" pedicure which had hot stones, a lavender scrub and foot massage. Those extras were nice but it doesn't erase the need to do the basics well. Oblong shapes and nipping the tips of my fingers with the TOE NAIL CLIPPERS that you were using on my hands is not acceptable. I have been coming here for several years and enjoyed good and friendly service. But recently this place had taken a turn for the worse. New staff seem inexperienced, clumsy, and do a poor job. There are still some workers there that are good, but going as a walk in, it's a crap shoot. I think they need to better train new staff. read more

Okay - so I jump around from nail place to nail place. It mostly has to do with the fact that when I want a pedicure, I want it right then and I go where I can get it. That said, I am looking for a place to be a regular at. I like going to the same place and being a regular. And, frankly, after my pedicure here yesterday - this place will be my new go to! First, they offer online booking, which I love!! Not having to pop in and be told they can take you, but then you sit and wait longer than the pedicure actually takes - winning!! Secondly, I sprung for the top of the line pedi - the Allure Pedicure. It was $50, which is a bit high, but not nearly as high as some of the more high end salons I've tried. And, let me tell you - this was the best pedicure and so worth the money. Besides walking out with cute painted toes, the best part of a pedicure is the massage! And, this was the best massage I've ever had with a pedicure. Not only did she massage me while applying the scrub, she did AGAIN when applying the mask, and then a THIRD time while applying the lotion. I think the massage lasted close to 25 minutes total. From the message to the pedicure itself, everything was perfect. I love how my toe nail color came out; so beautiful. A friend recommended Allure to me. It was really easy to book online with lots of available slots, even on a Saturday. There is a parking lot, but it was full since they were busy, but there's plenty of street parking on the side street. They have tons of color choices, staff members were all very friendly and there was an overall positive vibe. Also, it was way cheaper than I was expecting which is always a plus! I went here to have my acrylics removed a little over a month ago. The acrylics had been applied by the owner, Kim, but they were different lengths. Which bothered me a little bit, but it wasn't that big of a deal. When it was time to remove them, I returned to Allure. I was placed with a first tech and then I was switched to a second tech. The second tech began filing down my acrylics and I began to feel heat in my left pointer and thumb nail beds. Before I could mention it, Kim switched my nail tech again with no explanation. When my removal was finished, I noticed I had a ring of fire on each nail and that my left pointer and thumb fingernails were paper thin and I could see the red of my nail bed through them. Although I should have complained, I paid for my service and left because I felt uncomfortable. Im writing this review to warn others - DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON IF YOU VALUE YOUR NAILS. read more

Hey have been to this building before when it was occupied by another nail salon and have to say the new owner, Kim, has done a fantastic job refreshing the space and making much more comfortable. I made reservations for three pedicures but one friend couldn't come at the last minute. We were welcomed upon entering, had us sign in and pick our nail color. Just as soon as we did the tubs were ready for us. Both had lukewarm water so fresh hit water was put in to warm us up. Sadly my girlfriend had an attendee from the first and I soaked for 10 minutes before Kim came to help me. She apologized for not being able to come right away and how she appreciated my business. I've met Kim before at another salon and was happy to hear she was the owner! She's a hard working and happy woman who I've worked with before. I had the spa pedicure which was exactly what I needed. I have been to several salons in the Portland area. This is in the top 3. Very friendly owner and staff, clean, and convenient hours. They take time and do a good job with both pedis and manis. Offer several options for both. Only negative is the parking. The lot is small and there is no offstreet parking on Allen Ave, one small side street nearby. The nail tech filed my finger so hard that she sliced my finger, picked the opposite color that I chose and my nails looked horrible when I left and I was not impressed at all. it took two hours because they did everything wrong and still made me pay full price when they messed up everything.
