Recently my good bras has begun to wear out and I decided I should probably start looking for something new. Usually shopping for bras is a whole debacle including an emotional upset because either nothing fits or my options look terrible on me. I have never had any professional help with bra shopping, but knew I should get a fitting to truly figure out my size for once. I began looking around online for professional fittings and found Allure since it was relatively close and offered no appointment fittings. I was nervous walking in, but once the process began everything worked perfectly. She walked me through the fitting, and proceeded to help adjust the bra so that it fit the way it should. She brought great options for me to try on. The first bra I was a suspicious about because it seemed like the cup was just a little to small. Lo and behold she comes back with a cup size larger even though I hadn't said anything. I'm a complete beginner other than I know to wash bras on delicate and not to dry them in the dryer, so she gave me all the advice and tips I was looking for. It's a bit nerve-wracking to do something like this the first time, but I felt at ease and for once completely happy with how things were going. Most likely because I wasn't the one hunting around for the correct fit, she was like magic doing most of the work for me. I just needed to be sure that what was chosen worked for me. She also advised that they may feel a bit different (because my old size was now very clearly too small in the cup and too large in the band) and to stick with it because it will make all the difference. I knew something had felt wrong with my bras but I felt like that was the options I was stuck with, so I didn't address it. When putting on these new bras, I could see the line from where my old bra would naturally sit (dig in) which was depressingly low in comparison. Seeing that and how nice everything felt, I completely trust her advice. I felt almost ashamed walking out of the store in my old bra. As people have mentioned the price is a bit higher, but I have had terrible luck in department stores and even worse online. You are paying for a great experience and a bra that truly fits. I walked out with three bras that I am excited about...and less money in my pocket, but I couldn't care less. I say it's completely worth it. I was treated with respect and kindness the whole way through, and felt comfortable in a less-than comfortable situation. If you're someone who has trouble finding bras that fit (too small in the cup, not enough support, falling out of the bra at all different spots, and that terrible line that you know is way too low) I definitely suggest going and at least trying it out. I have a whole new feeling of self-confidence and body positivity after this experience. I look forward to coming back once I'm ready to buy more! read more

I am a large chested woman that has had very little to no luck with bras in he past. Even the sheer thought of having to go to bra shopping was enough to send me into a panic attack and actually trying them on would leave me in tears in the dressing room. The last time I actually purchased a bra, it took 3 different people almost an hour and a half to find one that MOSTLY fit. I ended up buying it anyway just out of embarrassment. When that finally fell apart, it was pretty upsetting. I did some looking around on the internet and found Allure. I had my doubts. Every store claims they have "every size" and what not. None the less, we made the drive from Racine to Brookfield to give it a shot. The staff was amazing and friendly. There was a line, but they made a point of greeting me and letting me know they'll get to me shortly. A lot better than being completely ignored until it was my turn like other places. After I mentioned it was my first time shopping there, I was led to a fitting room and measured. It took all of 30 seconds, so I was skeptical. The lady brought back one bra, sure it would fit perfectly. At this point, I was already discouraged. I mean, that's exactly how the ladies at Lane Bryant and Victoria's Secret worked. Lo and behold, it fit! She came back and inspected it, and together we decided to go down a strap size. She came back with another one, and that one fit even better! I have never, in all my years of wearing bras, have ever found one so perfect for me. I was a little disappointed in the beige blandness of it, but when you're a 38 J cup, you pretty much resign to that being the best you're going to get. Then, she brought in two extremely cute ones, too! I honestly felt like I was going to cry. I ended up buying a nice pretty one and an extremely supportive sports one. She got me all registered in so they could take notes on which bras fit me in what sizes for future visits. She gave me a neat little care guide and some samples of detergent. My only regrets from this visit are not bringing enough money to buy more bras, a swimsuit, and some panties, and completely forgetting to catch the employees names. They were astounding and I would have loved to praise them by name. read more

I can't possibly speak highly enough of this store. I, and my friend, worked with Lindsey. Absolutely phenomenal. She sized me, grabbed me a bra, tried it, decided almost instantly it was the wrong band size and went to find the next size down. She brought me several different varieties to try and helped me try them all on. I am a "curvier" woman and finding cute bras in my size is nearly impossible elsewhere. I have ridiculous second degree sunburns and she was careful and attentive to the fact that trying them on was horribly painful given the circumstance. She even brought me a couple of half priced bras to try and lingerie. She had me in bras that I would have NEVER considered buying had I been shopping on my own, and ended up leaving with two of them. The prices are on the higher end of things but, given my chest size, and the personalized shopping experience, it's something I expected. As if the bra fitting experience wasn't wonderful enough on it's own, their hospitality was that of something you won't find anywhere else. I had my three kids with me (5, 18mo and 8mo) and I was pleased to find a Trolls magnetic toy and crayons and coloring books for them. My son desperately needed a diaper change and at some point in the last few days, my husband accidentally grabbed our "car bag" which contains all of our diapers and wipes and took it in the house. I was left with a soiled child and no diapers. I was going to leave and run to the store to grab a pack when they told me (Ashley was the other woman working) THEY HAD A DIAPER. This wasn't the first time they'd had a situation like this so they had a package of diapers in the back! I was blown away. They were kind and patient with my ever inquisitive 5 year old and so incredibly friendly in general. Five stars isn't enough. Fifty stars might not even be enough. Wonderful shopping experience, wonderful fitting experience and hands down the best "I have 3 kids and I'm doing the worst shopping on the planet" experience I have ever had. It is a 45 minute drive for me to get here, and there are locations closer to me than this, but I will not be going anywhere else. read more

I've been shopping at Allure exclusively for the last three years now and will not go anywhere else The first day I walked it I was not feeling great and was wearing a baggy sweatshirt and yoga pants with my hair in a headband. I had a work event the next week and I desperately needed to find a way to perfect my professional look, my big flaw was that my chest did not fit properly in any of my bras! They were bouncing too much, popping out over the cup, looking like one humongous lump...you name the problem and I guarantee I had a bra that did it! Not to mention my shoulders and rib cage hurt at the end of every day. Sarah greeted me immediately and took me into a fitting room for a private fitting. She was very friendly and gentle spoken and helped make a very awkward situation actually pleasant. I found out that the band size I was wearing was too big and the cup size was way way too small. We tried on many different brands and styles and came up with a few that I liked. Fortunately they had two in my size that I was taking home which meant I could look my best the next week. The others were ordered from other stores and I received them in about a week. I go to Allure about four times a year now to help me get the right bra for the impossible dress, to update my "bra collection" or just to see what's new. When I walk in they know what my size is what type of look I prefer and which manufactures work best for me. I think they're absolutely amazing! They've been great with returns - I did have a "creaky bra" once and I did an exchange for a different kind without any hassles and then one that I didn't like after a long day of wear. I highly recommend Allure, a well fitted bra is so important for finishing off your look as well as feeling good about yourself. The Allure staff will definitely help make that happen. read more

I was recommended Allure for an accurate fitting and good supported bras for my hard to find small band size and larger cup size. After having a difficult time buying bra after bra from Victoria's Secret, I decided to finally go out and check out Allure. Having recently had a horrid experience at a bridal gown store (Tres Chic), when I was measured and had my figure insulted, I was soooo thrilled to find a store that was professional and was staffed by women that made you feel good about your figure and are very very helpful and attentive with finding you exactly what you need. I found the right strapless bra to go with my dress, and I purchased another daily bra that was actually really really pretty! I measured at a 32 E, and that is NOT an easy size to find! And when you do find it, they are usually only in the unpretty, boring styles. At Allure, there were beautiful and comfortable bras in my size! FINALLY! And I can't rave enough about the 3 lovely women that helped me on my 2 visits so far. All were patient and helpful, and found the right bras to wear under the 2 new formal gowns I had just purchased. I even had to show up with my 2 young children one day and I always feel guilty whenever I have to enter a store with kids, but the sales manager was sweet and helpful. There is a seamstress that works with the stores in the same shopping center that you can go to if you need any alterations on anything, which is something I have never even thought of as an option for when bras get older and stretch out. The lingerie is much pricier for me than where I used to shop at Victoria's Secret. But for high end lines that actually FIT, especially with those difficult to find sizes like mine, it will sure be wonderful to actually have a great fitting bra! I brought my teenage daughter in after a recommendation from a friend who found a noticeable difference in her posture after finding a good fitting bra. My 16-year old has a full bust which was not inherited from her mother so this was new territory for me - I wanted someone knowledgeable to fit her properly. We've made due with shopping mall brands which I was never happy with how they fit under her clothing and worried about poor fit affecting her posture which is affected by scoliosis. We were very pleased with the service we received at the Brookfield location and I was surprised by the measurements. The mall store measured her as a 34C, Allure put her in a 30G which she noticed was a considerably better fit. It was tough to put out $85 for a bra for my teenager (I'm hoping she will get a bit of wear out of this and not grow more!). She liked how much it fit she wanted to switch out her other bra right away. I will be watching the sale racks and if her size stays consistent for a while will probably invest in another one soon. I am a bodyworker and pilates instructor and realize the importance of posture on our health - if buying a well-fitting bra will support good posture for her I'm willing to pay more for that! So glad we found Allure! read more

I've seen ads for Allure in some local magazines and after finding it very difficult to find cute bras in my size at any Victoria's Secret store (I'm too impatient to order online) I decided to stop in after work. I checked out their website before and was worried about being uncomfortable during the bra fitting, but despite my self-consciousness I was pretty okay with it. Sarah, the store manager I believe, was very relaxing and knew what she was talking about. It made me feel comfortable and less self-conscious. I was there for a strapless corset bra to wear under a bridesmaid dress, but had casually mentioned I was on the lookout for other bras, too. She showed me some cute options as well as a corset and strapless bra. I didn't feel pressured to buy the two she showed me first (normal styles). I ended up getting the two she had brought in as well as a strapless for the bridesmaid dress. When you shop here, expect to take your top off but try not to be too self-conscious: they know what they're doing and will put you in some cute stuff! They are a bit more expensive, but the quality and design is much nicer (and you don't have to wait if you have a not-in-stock-at-VS size)! read more

To start off, I was very surprised to see this store only receiving 2 and a half stars...I have struggled with having a big chest with not one store in the area to find "proper-fitting" bras my whole life. Up until my experience at Allure, I was convince I was never going to find a bra with a cup size that actually fit. I thought that my 36DDD bras were as good as it was gonna get. The woman who assisted me I believe was the owner? But she was amazing. I felt completely comfortable with her, and she measured me to a 36J (never even knew that size existed!). She had me try on about four different styles until we found a few that worked for me, and now I couldn't imagine not wearing them. It took a while to "break them in", and I did end up returning to Allure to pick up some band extenders (absolutely saved my life for the first few days), but now they fit perfectly and I haven't even looked at my old bras since. I feel more comfortable, more confident, and more beautiful because of Allure. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who struggles to find a good-fitting bra. I love, love, LOVE this place, and although the prices are a little steep, it is worth every penny. read more

I knew I needed some new bras so I went online to search for the service I was looking for. Allure in Brookfield is what came up. So today I went. I walked into the store and was pretty blunt. I told Lindsey, the sales associated, that I needed new bras, needed to be fitted and well just plain old needed help. She took me to the fitting room, measured me and then brought me in some bras to try on. The very first bra was beautiful. Not only did it fit me perfectly, it was the way a girl wants a bra to be - a lovely piece of lingerie that fits the way it should. It was such a wonderful experience. I am by no means a small chested woman (a 38DDDD I discovered today), so it was so nice to put on a bra and have it fit me the way I have been dreaming of a bra fitting me and have it be pretty. It was fun, enjoyable experience - something I was not expecting as my last few attempts to start replacing bras were failures. Lindsey took the time to pull bras for me, discussed what fit the best and also brought in the other varieties we all need - the strapless bra and the sportsbra. So I can say I did make a few purchases today and will be back. read more

On a whim, I searched for an initiate apparel for my sister's wedding. She was looking for a corset and I was looking for, well, anything! My expectations were low as I'm a normal-plus size lady and my sister is a plus size. The ladies at Allure blew my expectations out of the water. They were friendly and so so helpful. They made my sister feel so special and also took care of me without feeling like sloppy seconds. I have never been fitted so perfect or had such accommodating options. I tried one bra on that had a weird sticker in the seam- they ordered an exact replacement to be sent to my house (in 2 days!) with no extra cost. We managed to find multiple styles and colors that we loved in both bras and panties!! For normal- plus size women to walk out with a corset and multiple bras, that fit super well, is outstanding. Add to an excellent time of laughter and femininity while getting fitted- this will be my intimate apparel from now on. The only thing to note that with fine wear and service, the price reflects this. These cost more than I typically like to spend, but they are very much worth it. read more

Bra shopping is hard, ladies, especially for those whose sizes aren't in regular stores. Here, it's not. Sarah greeted me right away and asked what I was looking for. I told her that I thought I was wearing the wrong size bra. She got me into a fitting room right away and brought me a few sizes and styles to try. She spoke to me matter-of-factly about fit and bra care, helping me see why some styles and sizes were better than others. While she offered other items to add on to the sale, there was NO pressure. She was the epitome of professional and polite. She even made sure that my husband, who was waiting in the lobby area, was comfortable. Everybody there was wonderful. The prices are on average with everything else I've seen--a few dollars more than online shopping, but I view that as negligible since I was able to actually take it home with me that day (a huge asset, since I hadn't been able to do that for years). They ordered another bra for me and I can't wait to go back and pick it up! (They offered to mail--it's my choice to go back in...with the potential of picking up more!) read more

I was searching for a specialty bra shop a month ago because I was 8 months pregnant and had no idea what my bra size was at the time. I had already tried maternity stores and online. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get fitted, especially if you are a busty woman. I am very short and thin too, so finding a bra that fit was difficult even before I got pregnant. Arianna was the staff member that helped me in Brookfield WI, and she was great. The first bra that she brought to me fit perfectly. It was such a relief to find something that fit. It could have been awkward undressing in front of a stranger, but Arianna made me feel comfortable. I left with 2 regular bras and a nursing bra for right after I deliver. I will definitely be back when my size changes again. I did not think the bras were overpriced, because they are high quality and will last for a long time. I also appreciated the extra information I was given such as how to care for you bras, adjust them, etc. I have already told several people about my experience. read more

My sister Tricia took me to Allure to get fitted for a new bra. What's funny is I had just purchased 2 new bras that were fitted for me back in my hometown Los Angeles but they really weren't fitted properly. I've hated to wear a bra, at home I don't wear a bra. Sarah from Allure was very nice, helpful & wonderful as she tactfully showed me how the new bras I brought in were rolling up at the top not laying properly on the skin and the bottom underwire was cutting into my skin leaving a red mark and causing my boobs to sag down. (I thought the new bras I got in LA were fitted properly but NO) My size even changed & I saw a big difference in the look and feel of the Allure bras. WHAT A DIFFERENCE a properly fitted ALLURE bra makes. It doesn't bother me at all to wear a bra now. I feel great in the Allure bras. I am a new Allure customer. I went in for the "dreaded bra fitting!" My visit was a learning experience. I worked with the store Manager and she was amazing! I was not wearing the correct size bra. She brought in quite a few different styles and I found a couple that seemed right for me. A friend referred me to Allure and told me they were pricey. I have never paid that much for a bra before and money is tight. I was told that if I had a problem with the bras, to come back and they will help me out. My only complaint is that you can only return merchandise for a store credit. Trying on a bra in a fitting room for several minutes, it feels fine. Sometimes after wearing it around the house for a while, I'll find it is uncomfortable. Same with shoes! If a product is unworn or there would be a problem with the construction of it, I wish they would offer either a refund or a store credit. read more

I have struggled for years to find bras that fit and supported me well. In less than a half hour, they had measured me and found 3 different styles and COLORS. For you ladies out there with fuller figures, you will understand my excitement that bras in my size came in more than just nude, white, or black. :). One of the styles I selected wasn't available in their store in the color I desired; they were able to have it shipped from another location in a matter of a couple days. The store was cozy, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the bras seem to be of good quality. The best part? No more back pain, no more slipping shoulder straps, no more ridges in my shoulders, and a smoother silhouette beneath my clothes (no more little bulges caused by an ill-fitting bra!!!) I would definitely recommend Allure to anyone, but if you are a fuller-figured gal like me - absolutely try it! read more

I am now officially a repeat customer and will always go back here to update my bra wardrobe. I'm a self-described bra utilitarian and I'm also pretty cheap, so the first time I came here three years ago, when pregnant, I had to readjust my expectations. The bras are not cheap, but they also are constructed so much better than what is in the mainstream market. I worked for seven years at an intimates manufacturer and have a lot of "competitive shopping" to compare this to. Both times the staff were incredibly helpful and listened to my needs, and I loved that they were able to pull up my old records in their system so we didn't have to start from scratch. Both times I have left with beautiful Elomi bras and this time my fit specialist even got me to go a bit out of my comfort zone and I am totally in love with the new style. read more

This is my second visit to Allure. I bought two bras in 2014. They fit wonderfully and lasted a very well considering I did not follow the washing instruction. I bought another bra this time. It was the same kind I bought in 2014. I am still wearing the "old" bra. I have had wonderful experiences at Allure. The manager at the Brookfield store was very helpful. She looked up my old records. She told me upfront that she was alone in the store and had other customers. She asked that I bear with her. She gave me some bras to try on. As busy as she was, she check in on me and offered advise on how to fit it. I am not a Brookfield Betty as another customer described people who were in the store. I am more the farmer's daughter. I felt welcome and valued. I will return to this store for all my intimate needs. read more

I was so happy to find a place that carries bras that are both made well, and fit! Stopped in on a whim and left with 2 new bras that actually made me feel great! Bethany did my fitting and was so patient and helpful. I must have tried 10 or more on and she helped with each, giving expert advice. I also ordered a few more to be brought into the store to try because they did not have my size there. No obligation at all, just great service from a very knowledgeable staff. Thought I might get some strange looks, because I was dressed like a bum that day, but felt NO judgment at all. I was greeted immediately with a smile, and did not feel rushed or pressured one bit. Allure is an excellent place to go for intimate apparel. I went in to get a bra to fit a dress for our son's wedding. Sarah was so kind, gentle and patient with me. I was shocked that I could fit into the bra size she had me try on, which was 6 sizes smaller than I had been wearing!! That's how clueless I was about sizing a bra I guess:) I'm 54 years old and have never been taught how to go bra shopping, or how to properly fit a bra. She gave me expert advice on how to get my very large breasts into the bra for maximum support. I learned a lot about how to wear, care and fit bras that I never knew before. Are the bras more expensive than Kohl's-yes, but worth every penny. read more
