They were so ridiculously good that I ordered another round... and then somehow another. Before I knew it, I'd inhaled nine sliders like I was training for the Olympic Competitive Munchies Team. Mission accomplished--the munchies were officially defeated. I paid my tab, waddled out the door, and went to smoke another dooby. Now I'm sitting here wondering... after this next dooby, am I about to march right back in there and order another round of sliders? The odds are looking pretty good. Happy trails, buckaroos! PS: I honestly couldn't tell you what they taste like under normal circumstances. But if you're higher than gas prices, those sliders are five-star fine dining.

We walked into the Skillet around 5:45pm, were assaulted by loud music (which we expected from…read moreanother review), and sat at the bar in the quieter room of the restaurant. We ordered a burrito, fries and drinks - a Manhattan for my wife and a chocolate martini with Kettle One and crème de cacao for me. My wife's drink was to her liking, but the chocolate martini tasted like there was coffee liqueur in it. Since I didn't know when our waitress would appear again, I told the first person we saw - a young man - that I couldn't drink anything with coffee because of the caffeine, and that I needed it remade. He took it back to redo. While we were waiting, one of the pool players dropped a very loud f-bomb when he missed a shot. Then a young child began crying very loudly. The young man came back with the remade drink, and the coffee taste was gone. After it had been over 45 minutes I had to ask what looked like the manager what had happened to our burrito and fries. She went back to check, and our food finally appeared. The burritos were long on rice and short on carne asada, something we couldn't know until we started eating. At some point our original waitress came back, and my wife told her we had to send back my first drink because of the coffee ingredient. She denied any coffee-containing spirit was used, and walked away. We never saw her again. I had to ask the manager for an itemized ticket, since the ones we had were sign for a total amount only, with no itemized detail. Since the original waitress had closed out our ticket right after we ordered and had given us our check, we paid and left. No tip was left. If you want a properly-mixed drink, be prepared to explicitly request every ingredient. Better still, don't expect great drinks or food at this place - stay away. It's interesting that the reviews for this place here are either amazing or horrible. Sad to say,…read morewe experienced the horrible today. The reviews for this diner on DoorDash were pretty great, so we trusted those. Wish we had come here first to read these comments. My chef salad had no turkey or ham or hard-boiled egg on it, only grilled chicken (which I paid extra for), lettuce, cheese, and unfortunately tomato, to which I am allergic. I had specifically asked for the tomatoes to be withheld. My husband's taco salad was also bland and had cheese when he requested none. We also ordered two chicken sandwiches with fries. As reflected in previous reviews here, the fries were overcooked and very salty. My chicken sandwich, again, came with a tomato when I asked for none because of my allergies. The chicken sandwiches were also completely dry with no mayonnaise or sauce of any kind, so they were very bland as well. It seems like this place has been having problems for quite a while. Possibly time for a personnel change.

Service was lovely, the blonde lady who served us checked in on us several times, asked to refill my soda before I was even halfway through it!
