Why does it take so long to get 2 drinks at this location. They are so slow no matter what time of the day or night.

Do not come here. Horribly inefficient and no bathrooms. Cheeseburger was cold. Hopefully I'll not get food poisoning

We were going through Las Vegas and had tried to stop at another popular establishment, only to be told it was going to be an hour wait on a Saturday afternoon.

AVOID NMHU! The NMHU social work program in Albuquerque and Santa Fe is highly unprofessional. I…read moreattended both. The in-class instructors are fine, but their staff to help students with practicums is surprisingly unsupportive. They falsely claim to have additional support staff for students in their practicums. Practicum problem #1. NMHU hires outside social work professionals to oversee the student at their practicum, but in reality, if there is any problem (and they arise more often than one would expect), the outside professional is reluctant to get involved because it requires a lot of paperwork to address issues and they don't like that. Problem #2: Even worse, is that they use their adjunct instructors as practicum supervisors. This conflict of interest is a lose-lose for students. That sets the student up for not getting help from the school's practicum manager because then the manager is in the position of choosing between helping the student vs. helping their coworker. In this situation, the student has no one to turn to for guidance. The school falsely claims to have loads of support for their students. When I reached out for help with the practicum, the student support staff all turned their heads because they did not want to tangle with a coworker. Other schools know that practicums can be challenging and some provide a practicum class that meets regularly for ongoing group support until practicums are completed. That's much better than leaving a student out there on their own against the odds. It's challenging enough to complete the schoolwork, never mind having no support when a practicum goes bad. Definitely look for a program that has ongoing in-class support for students throughout their practicums. AVOID NMHU!

I am currently a freshman at New Mexico Highlands University and I have to say that this…read moreinstitution has not left a good impression on me. The application process was sloppy and when I had questions about anything before I started attending the school no one at any office answered their phones. I did not learn anything about the university until orientation which was the day before classes started. Heading into college I thought I was going to be walking into a university like they show on tv. Nice staff, wonderful and comedic teachers, great food, and clean dorms. That is not what I got. The staff is lazy and seemingly always angry for no reason. Everything is a hassle on this campus and everyone makes it seem like it is your fault that they have to do their jobs. No one seems like they want to work there. The teachers are sub-par and are bleak at best. Everything about the class time at this school reminds me of high school. No one takes anything seriously and teachers show clear favoritism the minute everyone sits down in class. The food is okay... but its not good. Considering that we pay way too much for food. Also, it seems like schedules are set up so that your can never eat at the cafeteria. It's obnoxious. Now, the dorms is where I had the biggest problem. I had no choice on where I wanted to stay. I did not even get to look in the dorms to see which rooms I preferred. My room was selected for me the day I applied to the school. I am staying at melody hall and I have to say this is the most disgusting building I have ever seen. I am amazed the place has not been condemned yet. The building has a rancid smell radiating from it at all times. its a mix of wet cat food, rotting fish, and a 3 day old dead animal. The rooms are hardly ever cleaned and vacuums are not allowed in the building for some reason. Nothing ever gets fixed. My shower stopped having hot water around the middle of September and I put in two work orders and it still has not been fixed. Also, the amount of times that the police get called is ridiculous. But I don't blame anyone. There is hardly any lighting on campus at night and there are not enough emergency obelisks around. Overall I would not recommend Highlands, it is overpriced and under performing.

tldr: THE SOUP This…read moreis a place where a tasting menu would be amazing because I'm sure everything is that good. Before they even bring the menu they bring out 7 moles to taste. Apparently moles aren't all dark chocolate spicy sauces ... ?!?? Loved the education and samples. I'm typically not a mole fan, but they were fun to try. We had the octopus but to me the sauce was too oily. The actual octopus was tender and delicious. Also had the duck skin tacos which were more of a minced duck meat taco and delish. The 5 stars go for impeccable service and the SOUP. This soup is not to be missed. Nothing on paper makes me think it should work but it totally does. It's a big lump of blue crap topped with creamy poblano pepper soup with whipped cream and amaretto and then topped with a spicy kick. Someone said cinnamon but for me it tasted more like hot red chili powder. Sounds incredibly weird but it was the best dish I've had in forever. Waitress was extremely knowledgeable and the chef was very welcoming and present in his cowboy hat! Space was cozy with amazing art. Perfect date night spot but plan to spend a bit of $$$

We ended up sitting at the table early and having a drink there instead. We picked a pinto noir from the very extensive and well-composed wine list so it could open up a bit. A tasting of five moles was then brought to the table along with mini tacos to sample and choose which we wanted with our entre. I was partial to the red and New Mexico. As an appetizer I chose the foie gras which was slightly undercooked and had a bit too much berry compote. My entree was the seared duck breast which was also undercooked and difficult to cut. I was hoping for a crispy skin and it was rather soft and chewy. The dessert was good from the couple of spoonfuls I had but I was expecting much more overall.
