I was recently in Santa Fe running errands and really stopped by Allsup because I just needed an hour to kill. I figured I would grab some snacks to eat...and decided to stop by a gas station that was nearby..and..surprisingly discovered Allsup's burritos for the first time!! I had a green chile and cheese burrito with a cold bottle fo soda..and...wow...I was so hooked that I was debating going in there to get a second burrto! It was so good to the point I had to look up Allsup's burrito online and that was when I discovered the whole cult following Allsup's burrito. Pro tip: the one that people usually talk about are beef and beans ones...but..I swear..I loved the green chile and cheese so much that I don't even think about trying other flavors! They do have other flavors like beef & beans, chicken and green chile and chicken and beans(?) as well. The only one star was..if you were to buy a burrito on its own, you pay close to $4 for one, which, in my mind, is expensive (esp for a gas station food!). I happened to beg the gas station manager to get the $5 soda/burrito combo, which usually only applied to pepsi & beef and beans burrito. Go try this! I don't come often to Walgreens but I am glad to see they still have their doors open. At least this location still did anyways. I know some other ones are only offering curbside and drive thru pickup. So I am glad to see these guys still open to walk in. They are a bit pricey compared to going to Target or Walmart when it comes to certain items but it's the price you pay for convenience. Granted they have a great selection of cold drinks to buy and a large selection of over the counter drugs as well as cosmetic and candies along with many other novelties all in one roof. Again I don't come often but one thing I can say is they are very friendly at this location and the selection of products they offer is convenient for someone who is on the go and needs to be in and out. Speaking strictly about the pharmacy--they are severely understaffed and the way they function is…read moreextremely ableist and void of empathy. They also do not actually have a drive-thru, despite what google says. I highly recommend looking to fill your prescriptions elsewhere if you are chronically ill or disabled/reliant on your prescriptions to survive. Their AI phone system is useless and the pharmacy is often closed during regular hours. I don't know how many times I've waited on hold on trying to reach a real person for 30+ minutes only to get hung up on when someone finally picks up, or how many times I've waited 30+ minutes in line in my wheelchair just for them to say they threw out my prescription without warning because I was one day late to picking up, even though i was never notified as to whether it was even ready, which is why I tried to call! Supervisors expect too much of their staff because they're worried only about their corporate performance ratings or whatever else goes on behind the scenes--not the real human lives that are impacted by their inefficiency. Hire some more people and be kinder, PLEASE!!
