I had auto insurance with Ms McGuire up until February of 2022. My Mother also had auto insurance…read morewith Ms McGuire at that same time. Last February, my Mother contacted the office to inform them that she had sold her vehicle and no longer needed insurance. It was at this time that Audra cancelled MY insurance and not my Mother's. Audra never caught the mistake. Meanwhile, they continued to take money out of my Mother's account and kept her insurance on a car no longer in her possession - insured. I did not immediately notice that the automatic withdrawal had stopped. It was not a huge amount. In addition, my Mother did not notice that her auto withdrawal continued. I contacted their office in July, six months later to ask them if they had by chance cancelled the wrong insurance. Audra looked into it and you bet - my policy was CANCELLED. When I asked her to reinstate it at once, she said it would take several days but not to worry!! She put me on my Mom's account that was still open -- without so much as a call to my Mother to confirm that this was okay. When I asked her what would have happened had I been involved in an accident Audra replied (and I quote) "I spoke with the under writer and he said if there had been an accident they would have taken it into consideration." Needless to say I was skeptical at this point about their supposed concern about their error and the risk they opened me up to. Skeptical became an understatement when they billed me $600+ for the six months that I was not insured and had no absolute statement that there was coverage. Alexa then tried to convince me that coverage had existed when she said "most likely you would have been covered." Then Alexa told me "I know it sucks but you either have to pay or have a lapse of coverage on your record." The lack of business sense, maturity and ethics within this agency was astounding and only further compounded by a solid 7th grade vernacular and tone. Apparently, proof reading, attention to detail and acknowledging their blatant mistakes are not their strong suit. I wish you better luck than I had with this agency should you lack the intuition and foresight to keep looking for another agency and choose to settle for such unapologetic mediocrity and incompetence.

Bad thing is you only find this out when something happens and then the big bad word we DENY your claim happens. It was suggested that I could have lied on what happened. Thanks for the input they say and we will do better next time. Unfortunately their learning experience leaves me as the victim a teaching experience and a $2000.00 uncovered repair bill. I also read another review and it appears to be pattern on how Sarah speaks to people. I was close to hanging up because it was of no use trying to ask questions as they do not listen.

This was one of the most frustrating insurance experiences I have ever had…read more Kris Jackson at ProStar provided incorrect information and showed a complete lack of ownership during an already stressful situation. I was told my assigned agent was out of office for the holiday and that nothing could be done. However, that agent's voicemail clearly stated to press 1 to be connected to another agent, which I did. The alternate agent immediately confirmed that what Kris told me was incorrect. From there, I was forced to do the work myself. I personally called the policy department to remove our totaled vehicle from the policy. The representative I spoke with even stated that this was the agent's responsibility, but since it was not being handled, they would take care of it for me. That should never happen. When you are dealing with a total loss, you should not have to fact check your agent, chase down departments, and resolve issues on your own. I do not recommend ProStar if you are involved in an accident. Be prepared to handle everything yourself, because this office will not proactively help you. I dropped ProStar immediately after this experience. For comparison, I switched to Robert Pfarr at Allstate and the difference is night and day in terms of customer care, responsiveness, and knowledge. His team has been wonderful. I would not recommend ProStar to anyone, even as a last resort.

I am a real estate investor and own properties across multiple states. I deal with dozens of insurance companies and this place takes the cake. This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with by far lol. I am absolutely flabbergasted that this place has as many 5 star reviews as it does. Anthony doesn't answer calls, doesn't reach out to lenders to get escrow insurance payments, doesn't return calls, takes days if not weeks to respond to emails, tells me that he can't get payment from my lender but tells me we have time because Safeco isn't cancelling policies because of the fires, then lets my policies cancel, doesn't tell me anything, doesn't inform me of the cancellations, doesn't let me know it's pending cancellation, then I start getting collection agencies calling me from Safeco. This is absolutely unacceptable for clients!! Anthony has wasted my time and money and continues to do so. Stay away from this place! You have been warned!!
