I moved to Pennsylvania from another state and needed to either 1) transfer my current State Farm policy to PA or 2) get a new policy with another insurer. I called Henry Nace's office and spoke to Sandra who gave me a quote for transferring my current policy to PA. It seemed a little high so I said I was going to get some more quotes from other agencies and would let her know. They next day she called me back with "great news"--she got the details of my drive, safe, and save record (State farm's phone app that tracts driving) and she could transfer my discount to the PA policy, saving me a good amount of money every month (~$40). Given this information I decided not to shop around and just transfer my state farm policy. Sandra told me I could keep using the transponder (bluetooth thing that connects to drive safe and save app) I had from a previous state even though a new one was coming in the mail. The message I got was just do as you've been doing since this is a policy location transfer and I was good to go...WRONG. Turns out the drive safe and save discount/record cannot be transferred from between states due to PA insurance laws. No one from Henry Nace's office reached out to tell me this, they just charged me more with no explanation. Also apparently I needed to use the new transponder and deleted and redownload the app. No one told me this, they sent me a few texts that were marked as spam by my phone, but I thought I have the app what are they talking about. I ended up losing the entire discount (~$50/month) because I didn't set up the app in time. I reached out to Henry Nace's office many times and they continually refuse to take any accountability for giving me incorrect information. I have explicitly asked for an apology and have not received one, they continually to blame me and deny any wrongdoing. I have filed a complaint with state farm corporate and have switched to another agent in the area. Prior to this I have only had great experiences with state farm so I recommend using another office.

I had to cancel my policy over 2 months ago and call customer service almost daily for a refund…read more The worst customer service I have experienced, please stay far away from calling as they never answer the phone unless you call multiple times in a row. The women that answer the phones are short with you and extremely rude. I called to ask why my policy went up $150 and the woman said " I can't tell you why" so then I asked to cancel my policy she said "I can't do that" and I said who handles this then and she said " I'm trying to figure that out myself". What a joke. If Maya wants to continue her practice she should strongly reevaluate her team and consider responding to internal customer service about refunds. I have been waiting months for $300 and have to take them to court.

STATE FARM /Chuck Watkins Agency…read more PLEASE read!!! 10/25/23 9:05 am , Contacted Chet Watkins office in Bensalem PA, for a quote on car and homeowners insurance, spoke with Danielle the admin, then transferred me to Tom for a quote for car& home policy to be effective TODAY November 1st . Tom who was working from home as he was ill, after providing car/ property /personal information, given pricing. We approved, and Tom then began to enter the policy into the system which only took a few minutes... then said State Farm is not insuring Kia's in our year range due to high theft. we advised him we had a Club on the car, a GPS tracker, as well as the completed update with the Kia dealer (documented) . Tom said he would call Chuck Watkins directly to see if he could do anything. He called back in approximately 10 minutes or so and said unfortunately, State Farm declined to cover us and that the loss of the additional car & home discount would not make sense for us just to insure just our home with them. Tom apologized, said our best course of action was to contact other companies so we get the best discount and ended the call. Note: we of course signed with another company the following day at lower pricing and with no Kia or other issue whatsoever as we provided the same photos and documents State Farm declined to review. GETS WORSE...Today, November 1, 2023 we received a call from Jerry who had left two previous messages (10/27 & 10/31) stating his company was retained by State Farm to do a property inspection for our homeowners policy??? NOTE: If our policy needed to be in place at midnight, why would State Farm still have an inspection scheduled for today? I advised Jerry that State Farm declined to cover us and why they wouldn't and that we already signed with another company....Jerry advised he works for a third-party company that was contracted by State Farm and that the request is generated by State Farm at the agent level. WHAT???? Per my conversation with him, his company gets paid regardless, and the agent then appears as if they are actually doing something to gain business for State Farm? THEY declined US almost a week ago! WHAT? I've tried calling Chuck Watkins office three times this morning since 9 AM when the office is supposed to be open and staffed - Only voicemail ....curious as to who pays for that third-party inspection?? I'm sure the cost at some point rolls into the customers bills.... Disgraceful .... from my conversation with the inspector we were NOT a one off....that it happens all the time... What a disgrace to waste people's time ( ours and the inspectors) and money just so you look like you're doing something you actually aren't.... Shame on you... And yes, we contacted State Farm Corporate as well...... although you may have perceived us as old & retired, but we had professional careers and savvy in this digital age we all live in... reviews, and social media go a LONG way these days
