This company operates upon an absentee system, and takes it to a new level. You cannot contact them, they contact you. If you try to contact them as a tenant you are likely to be ignored. To keep this brief here are some of the issues I have faced in my 2 years leasing with this company: --The first week of moving in the unit had no water and repair crews were in and out of the property I had to arrange to change the beginning of the lease to a date later than was originally agreed to because of this, which also took much effort and deliberation to achieve. --I was told a specific agent was attached to my tenant profile, but I always ended up being contacted by, and communicating with a different agent. --A tree fell in my yard and my neighbor's yard, the neighbor took care of the portion in their yard. I filled a work order ticket about it, but after nearly a year nobody did anything about it and I had to dispose of the remains myself --Multiple repairs have been poorly preformed, and most times the issue was poorly or incorrectly communicated to the contractor. Nearly every repair that has been preformed is already showing signs of failing. --Contractors and the property owner have appeared without suitable notice multiple times, I have been woken up to strangers in my yard and walking on my roof. --Some work orders have been outright ignored or modified into an inaccurate statement, others have been marked as successfully completed after no action had actually been taken. --The company tells me they attempted to contact me for various reasons and at various times, I even asked what phone number they had recorded believing there to be an error. During these times I never received an email, physical letter, phonecall, or voicemail. --After being laid off due to the economic impact of Covid, my unemployment took too long to arrive, and an eviction was filed as soon as the first 2 weeks had passed with non-payment, even though I had notified the company of exactly what was going on. The eviction was filed during multiple moratoriums and mandates that banned evictions. --A municipal inspector cited very many issues that would need to be addressed to bring the property to standard (for the purpose of EDEN assistance). The property does not meet basic standards, and the cited reasons existed before I ever moved in. The landlord refused to preform the necessary repairs. --The individuals I have spoken to in phone conversation have gotten nasty and condescending and have even hung-up on me, then denied that they ever did this. --During the first renewal of the lease, I was not given the document to review until 3 days before the original lease expired, and some questions I had about it were never answered, as well as the rent increasing after the first year. --While working a 3rd shift job, the only times I would be called by the company (if ever) was during my sleeping hours, even after requesting to call at a reasonable time. They would not answer when I called during operating hours. --Some fun quality issues: One room has up to 3 layers of ripped and crumbling linoleum, other rooms have only 2 layers. There are two large holes about 1.5 and 2 foot large in two rooms, these holes are covered up by a drop tile ceiling. One of the room's ceiling is literally made out of cardboard that has been plastered over, and if I press against it with very little force the paint will crack as it flexes. Along with the poorly weatherproofed doors, this causes my heating bill to be massively expensive, to maintain an uncomfortably cold house (65-68 degrees and a luke warm water heater should not cost 150$ in gas). There is no fan in the bathroom. There are very few 3 prong outlets, multiple outlets cannot hold plugs because they are so worn, one safety-outlet was painted over, making it impossible to test and reset the safety-fault. One of the outlets simply didnt have a cover plate. There is an attic, but there is no access because there is a drop tile ceiling obstructing it. There is a leak that would be able to be identified if the attic could be accessed. One of the windows for the attic is broken, further allowing heat to escape. One of the drop-tile ceiling rooms still has the old glued-on tiles on the original ceiling, most of these are broken and crumbling, and I fear they could contain asbestos. They will claim the house is too new and refuse to have them tested. (They must never have heard of shady and corrupt contractors) This is by far the worst house I have ever lived in, and I am suffering for it. The management company has caused been the cause of so much needless stress. My credit report now reflects an eviction because my unemployment benefit came a few weeks too late. Do not trust All-Star management, and please take your money elsewhere. They only exist to extract our wealth and play plausible deniability with a shake of hands between the contractors, the property owner, and their individual staff. read more

I cannot believe the level of incompetence displayed by Angel Marie Chaney from Allstar Property Management Company. Not only did she overcharge us a ridiculous amount of $28,279 to repair our investment property in Maple Heights and have move in ready. Moreover, there are left numerous safety hazards throughout our property. The porch has loose rails and sagging areas, rotten wood on both the porch and porch steps, and mold in the basement. Additionally, the living room walls are not smooth and only replaced part of a window, leaving us with a drafty and inefficient window. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and care shown by Angel Marie Chaney and would strongly advise against using her services. read more

I was eager to explore rental properties in the Cleveland area, so I picked up the phone and made several calls, full of anticipation. However, the only response I received was a monotonous recording, adding to my frustration. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I could schedule a visit to a property. But when I arrived, I found that the code I needed to access the lockbox was nowhere to be found. My attempts to reach the property manager were futile, as each call went unanswered.
