Our event took place on October 11 at 4:00 PM. On October 3, I informed the rockstar hibachi team that we would like a quote that included tables and chairs along with the catering service. Then, on October 6 at 6:46 AM, in my email to the team, I specifically stated: "We will be paying for the setup including tables, chairs, linens, plates, etc." I paid the deposit timely and the full balance promptly on the morning of October 11. However, to our surprise, when the chef arrived, there were no tables, chairs, or setup materials provided. The chef informed us that these items were not included in the invoice. I immediately called Adeline from Rockstar Hibachi--whom I had been communicating with--and she confirmed that this was an error on her part. The chef attempted to contact the main office but received no response. As a result, we had to scramble to find tables, chairs, linens, and dishware for 15 guests while our guests were already present and waiting. This caused significant stress and disruption to what was meant to be a smooth, enjoyable event for my mother's 60th birthday. While the chefs were friendly and provided a decent service, it was evident that the assistant chef was new and less experienced.

Even though I told him my parents weren't the most adventurous eaters, his dishes were unique takes on classics. My mom loved the second-course salad so much, she recreated it for a dinner she hosted for her friends. Robbie was responsive, timely, and most accommodating. When my parents had to cancel the original weekend due to an illness preventing them from traveling, he was most gracious in allowing us to pick another weekend. It's the little things that go a long way. If you're looking for a high end, custom meal, complete with beautiful dinnerware and a Chef with a great personality, Robbie is your guy. Not sure I'll be able to top this birthday in the future.
